Double standards of being a stepfather

Good Morning America showed an interesting segment on “Mom vs Stepmom” on Friday, April 3. The idea came about after a well-known model, Gisele Bundchen, made an innocent comment about her feelings towards her stepchildren. She simply said that she considers them 100% hers. Why wouldn’t she feel this way? More specifically, why shouldn’t she feel this way? after all she it is married to her biological father. Haven’t we all learned that we should love not only the person we are married to, but also their entire family? That includes children, obviously. In-laws, however, are an exception, particularly the mother-in-law. It seems okay that you don’t like them, or at least not get along with them.

Divorce also seems fine. Oh right, we’re told to only marry once, only marry the person we’re in love with, never cheat on that person, and never get divorced. However, the divorce rate for first-time marriages is 50%. The divorce rate for subsequent marriages is 66%, and even higher for marriages with children (families). That is, if the couple even wants to remarry. Many couples are choosing cohabitation (living together/living together) because they don’t *want* to get divorced again. It was so painful the first time that they realized why do it a second time.

These rates themselves reflect a contradiction in the so-called family values of our society. On the one hand, we accept the importance of family values, sticking together, loving everyone, treating everyone the same, and so on. However, on the other hand, we have accepted these divorce/separation rates as fact and they are not likely to change. In fact, someone told me THAT last week: Don’t expect the divorce rate to go down. EVER!! So we have accepted the fact that separation/divorce occurs, as well as the reasons for it, including infidelity.

The stepfamily dynamic, then, is the epitome of conflicting family values, with the stepfather being the biggest victim of double standards. We’re all led to believe that we *can* love whoever we want, and that love *can* last forever if we try hard enough. We’re all led to believe, thanks to movies like Yours Mine and Ours, that we too can have a blended family and everyone will live happily ever after. However, anyone who has been in a stepfamily knows that this is not the case. The reality is that stepparents and stepchildren don’t automatically or instantly love each other just because the adults in the family remarry. In fact, in many stepfamilies (blended families) love doesn’t come until several years later. In other stepfamilies, love NEVER comes. That’s one of the reasons why the divorce rate for stepfamilies is so much higher than the rate for birth/traditional families.

We do not choose who we love. Also, we cannot make another person love us. We choose how we treat people. We should ALWAYS choose to treat people fairly, courteously, and respectfully, which is especially important in stepfamilies. Not instantly loving stepparents or stepchildren is okay as long as you treat them the right way.

Stepfamilies are an example of this. We expect the stepfather to automatically love the biological children by marrying her biological father; however, we do not hold children to the same standard because they are “children.” So if the children try to break up the marriage because they are not happy with having another parent, the stepparent is expected to be the more important person and not be frustrated or upset. Many parents revolve around children hoping to make them happy without understanding that all children want is for their biological parents to get back together, which is not a possibility in 99% of cases. That’s why it’s important for stepfamilies to figure out how to make the new union function like a stepfamily unit.

Then there is the flip side of double standards, as in the case of Gisele Bundchen. She internalized these family values that the Great Society has upheld over the years. She internalized the message and had taken it to heart. She fully intends and hopes to be as good as the biological mother of her stepchildren. In every bone of her body, she believes that she will love her husband’s children as her own and treat them as she would her own children. In that sense, she considers them 100% hers. However, the other side of the same coin is the simple fact that they are not her children. No matter what she does between now and the day she dies… even if she bonds deeply with them, she will never have a biological bond with them. She can never replace her mother. She knows she can’t either and she didn’t expect to try to replace her mother; however, she believes that she can be everything to them that her mother can be. In fact, she can, everything except the level and quality of love (bond) that only exists between a mother and her biological child.

The other factor that was not considered, and is often not known or understood, is how the stepchildren really feel about their new stepmother, the new family, the new environment (neighborhood, house, friends, etc.). The biological mother’s feelings are also not known or understood. Many, many women have a hard time seeing their ex-spouse with a new woman. This is particularly harsh if the new woman is perceived (by her ex-wife) as prettier, younger, better known, or more glamorous. This can be even harder if, God forbid, she was the “other woman” while her biological father was still married. Women more than men can feel very insecure about these qualities in themselves. When they see their ex with a new woman who has these qualities, their insecurities come to the fore. In the minds of many of these ex-wives is that he broke up with her because she wasn’t pretty enough, she was too fat, too thin, too frumpy, not glamorous enough… you get the picture. In reality, those reasons usually have nothing to do with the reasons for the initial breakup. Suddenly, things that didn’t seem like a problem before are now a problem for the ex-wife. This puts the stepmother in a precarious position from the start. It’s a long uphill hike that frequently takes her by surprise, to say the least.

7 tips for reading your sexual body language

Is it hot for you or not? Is that sexy smile directed at you? You can learn to understand their flirting gestures. Interpreting your male body language has never been easier!

1: Shifting your weight from side to side on your heels. This is subconsciously considered a reflection of “shaky knees”. One of the surest body language gestures that he is hot for you.

2: Hand pointing towards your pelvis. If your hand is in your front pants pocket, or your hand is resting on your belt, one finger pointing directly at your pelvis, anyone looking at you will be drawn to your crotch. His entire body highlights his groin in this highly sexual body language pose.

3: Rub his nose. When a man spies on a woman he is attracted to, then he engages in unconscious grooming. Other body language gestures to watch out for are rearranging her clothes, rubbing a finger along an eyebrow, or running a hand through her hair. Along with the tie, the nose is a phallic symbol.

4: Playing with his tie. The tie is basically a sign of his penis, according to body language experts. If he starts playing or fondling his tie, then there’s a good chance he’s interested in you. By taking the initiative yourself and fondling his tie admiringly, you are giving him a very strong sexual signal.

5: Sitting with legs spread on the stool. By sitting like this, he gives you a great view of his crotch. If he too starts rocking back and forth on the stool, be careful. The male body language here explains that the only thing he has on his mind is you.

6: Stand with your hands on your hips. By standing like this, she is emphasizing his size. By taking up more space, it appears larger and more dominant. In caveman times, females prefer larger males for better means of survival, which explains why many girls opt for the powerful, beefy type.

7: pelvic display. The more enthusiastic the guy, the further legacy is from him, regardless of whether he is standing or sitting. This is considered very primitive flirting body language and is also a behavior seen in monkey families. He’s basically showing you what a fantastic package he is, on a purely subconscious level of course.

The boys have basic primal drives and continue to operate subconsciously with caveman instincts. Men still use the same body language as in prehistoric times, much of which is also seen in the animal kingdom. Compared to us girls, guys have a much smaller variety of flirting body language gestures and the ones they use are very easy to spot. Lucky for us. Obviously, reading your body can be easier than reading your mind. Look for groupings of the above for highly interested flirting signals. Three or more and it’s yours!

Fortunately, now that we don’t live in caves anymore, we can at least look forward to a few civilized gestures, like a drink and a conversation, before being dragged into the modern equivalent of the cave.

Romantic gestures to get your ex back

One of the most important ways to get your ex back is with a romantic gesture. A romantic gesture is something thoughtful and romantic that will win your ex’s heart. The most important thing about a romantic gesture is that it should be something that your ex considers special. You can spend a lot of money and get in big trouble with a gesture, but if it’s the wrong gesture, then you’re showing that you didn’t think it through. This is where “it’s the thought that counts” really matters.

Flowers are one of the best romantic gestures to win your ex back. Flowers are sentimental and romantic. Each flower has its own meaning. Roses mean “I love you”. Red roses are for romantic love, as many people know, so this is the ideal flower to choose. Why not give a rose for every month the two of you have been together? That would be a very thoughtful bouquet and would remind your ex not to throw your relationship away. Let it grow and develop and “bloom” even more.

Love letters are an ideal romantic gesture to win your ex back. If your relationship has fallen apart, one of the best ways to start your love letter is with an apology that there is something wrong with your relationship and that you will do everything you can to fix it. Showing that you have remorse and that you intend to make things right will help you win your ex’s heart. Putting words on paper is very old fashioned and will surely touch his heart in this age of email and instant messaging.

Saying “I’m sorry” and “I love you” are great romantic gestures to win your ex back. When there has been damage in your relationship, now is the time to heal it. Going to your ex in person and looking him in the eye and telling him you’re sorry and that you love him will mean a lot. This will probably bring tears to his eyes. It will also bring them back to where they belong: into your arms!

last love story

He looked at the entrance to the office from the cabin again and again, looking for someone or maybe he was waiting for someone…
Pratap was his name, he worked as a manager, in that company,
And he was employed in the same company,
Sangeeta,,,
A beautiful girl, beautiful but beautiful!
Although the color was beautiful, it was beautiful, it seemed as if a paralyzed skillful sculptor had carved a statue from a beautiful marble with his own hands and made this beautiful idol of beauty.

He bowed his head, walked into the office, greeted everyone with his voice, mingled with applause, and greeted everyone at his job and greeted everyone when he bowed his head.
No one has ever seen him talk in wacky talk, and no one ever calls him too much, I don’t know why he’s always lost in himself.

Pratap had started to want him from the beginning, but seeing his simplicity and decency he could never say anything, he was afraid in his mind that he would not refuse, he would not misunderstand him.
All these things had happened in 7 months today, Pratap had already realized that today is his birthday and Pratap had decided that there would be anything, but today he will have the heart full of his feelings in his beautiful hands After that, if he wants throw them away and if you don’t want them, just take them away.

But today he arrived very late, Pratap did not know how many times he got up and saw him, he remembered…
Pratap’s mind was not on work today, he looked at the clock, he never looked at him, after that he put his disadvantaged rose in his bag, which he had brought with his beautiful music For Sangeeta.
She touched the rose frequently and thought that she would ask for a lot from the moment she went out at night, and after giving her the flowers in it she would say the heart of her heart.

Pratap’s situation was bad today, on the other hand, Sangeeta also looked a little worried today, she repeatedly takes her phone out of her bag, unplugs her phone that comes continuously, and puts it back in her bag Tok!

Pratap found it so strange to do this repeatedly, he was watching music so late that he would unplug the phone and repeat the phone again.

Now, there were 4, but they were still going to be prosecuted, but in the middle, Sangeeta might have read something on the phone, then she started to write something in a huff, at 5 o’clock, the vacation time has passed. And he was worried about Sangeeta’s enemies.
He called the pawn and ordered him to send music.
As soon as the farmhand told Sangeeta that the manager had called him that he was roaming, he thought what happened today, what happened today, was he wrong?
At first they never called it that.

You will not be reprimanded for using your phone repeatedly, you have not stopped talking about your work, will you not be able to stop it today?
When she entered Pratap’s hut, she wept herself
“Sir, that, on my mobile,,, often”!
He was able to talk so much that Pratap pointed out that he was sitting quietly!
“Why are you crying? I didn’t say anything, what about the phone? Are you calling me over and over again?”
“Hee,,,,,,,,,,,,, Nobody, nobody, no, sir, no, no.”
“Don’t be afraid, tell me, if someone is bothering you, you can understand me as your friend, who is this sun!”
Now Sangeeta was a little convinced, on many occasions he began to count,

“Sir, we both loved each other very much, my dad only walked when I was very young, my mother only made me grow up, she taught me, she taught me, she told everyone that I was sick of the mother’s health, many times, she he wanted to marry us both soon, Ravi and his family were also convinced, but then the sun didn’t go where the house had fled, he searched so much but didn’t know anything, mom kept walking and me. Forgetting Ravi, she had to do this job. , she has returned after 3 years, and

Calling me to meet myself, why am I meeting, what is the benefit of meeting me? ”
“Well, you should find yourself, you don’t see work or loss in every job!”
“Goal sir,,,,!”
“Where is that?”
“At 2 o’clock he had mistaken that he is waiting in the parking area!”
6 was ringing and at 6 in the winter it gets very dark,
“Will he still be standing there?”
“Yes maybe”
“Come on, let’s talk to him once, listen, then what he wants to say!”
“objective,,,,!”

“Shut up and leave me, I’ll hide around there, don’t panic!”
She sat quietly for a while, and then she got up and walked in the yaw, got her bag out of her cabin, and walked out with glory!
Pratap separated from him before reaching the parking area.
Sangeeta was slowly moving towards the young man who was standing near a shiny black carriage, which was wearing a fine dress at the end.

Pratap was walking on the other side making some distance from Sangeeta
Ravi, a handsome, elegant, tall young man in an expensive suit hanging from his personality, opened his arms, welcomed the music, but stayed away from it a couple of times.
“Why did you come?”
“What kind of question is this, you should ask where did you go, come for you, take you!”
“Why did they leave, where were they, do you know how many lonely I was, after, after the mother’s leave?”
He cries and cries; in return, Ravi steps forward and gathers him in his arms.
“I know I did wrong, but for everything you did, forgive me, I was winning happiness for you, look, I brought, I won!”
Saying this, he pointed to his car,
“I didn’t even want all of this, I just wanted you, you are such a pleasure!”
Ravi had now realized his mistake,
“Come on, now you too, come back!”

This time Sangeeta also stepped forward and entered his arms, both of them crying for a partner in their arms.
And, standing at a distance from them, he was proud, seeing the welding, the mind itself was pleased.
He remained hypnotized for a long time, and then moved to his car, driving a car past his house, advancing on a neighboring seat, opened it with one hand, put it in, and took out the rose. Him knocking him out the window and turning on FM, seeing him beaming.
“You are the reason for the smile, you are the reason for the murmur!”
A long smile began on his lips. Two tears came out of her eyes, but her smile was heavier than these tears.

18 types of metaphors

The first extremely obvious question is: What is this bloody metaphor? Another fancy name? Well… yes and no. It’s elegant, but also effective. Loaded with energy. Filled with awesomeness. By definition, a metaphor is a figure of speech in which two completely different words or phrases come together to suggest a similarity. Confused? What are the examples for?

All the world is a stage

Yes, it’s Shakespeare and he’s comparing the world to a stage. Generally you don’t see the world as a stage, you see it… as the world, the earth, the mother; but not a stage. That’s why it’s a metaphor. Because he has joined two things that have nothing to do with each other and make sense.

That was easy. But there is no peace, here begins the roller coaster. (I bet you won’t enjoy it right now)

1. Metaphor or conceit extended or telescopic

When your metaphorical vision has developed, then you cannot limit yourself to a single metaphor. I like it-

All the world is a stage and men and women mere actors.

This extension – “Men and women are mere players” has made this an extended metaphor. The author extended “the world” and “a stage” by presenting parts of “the world” (men and women) and “a stage” (players). Of course, it has to make sense. It cannot be expanded by comparing men and women with an ipod. Sound unpleasant? Exactly.

2. Metonymy

When you’ve grown tired of clichéd words and are desperately searching for a closely related word that hasn’t been used to death, that word is a metonym. A new word to replace an old one. Of course, an example. The pen is mightier than the sword. This saying itself has become a cliché, but originally the idea was different. Here, the pen represents freedom of expression and the sword the power of authority. Now, if you had said that freedom is greater than power, no one would have said Wow. That’s why Pen and Sword instead of freedom and power.

3. Mixed metaphor

Some of us fail to create a good metaphor; such a twisted and off-key metaphor is called a mixed metaphor.

Waves of emotion have pierced my heart.

Can waves prick? They do it in a world of nonsense, but most of us are still sane, but we widely tolerate nonsense and that’s why such nonsense is given a modest mixed-metaphor name.

Well, for the sake of information, there are two types of mixed metaphors: permissible mixed metaphors and non-permissible mixed metaphors. Never use the disallowed ones, so let me explain only the allowed ones.

The allowed mixed metaphors make sense even if the parts are not directly related.

We have weathered many storms with an iron will.

There’s no connection between weathering the storms and an iron will, it still sounds good.

4. Absolute metaphor

A perfect metaphor to show madness and confusion. In an Absolute metaphor, the metaphor really, really, honestly doesn’t make sense.

He broke with a sad piece.

In today’s world of indistinction, he is reigning absolute. Confuse them with your confusion.

There are two types of absolute metaphors: paralogical and anti-metaphors.

5. Implied metaphor

The implicit metaphor is an indirect metaphor where an implication is made to the whole.

Close your trap.

He ruffled his feathers.

No bird and no mouth, just feathers and a trap. Yes, that is implied.

6. Dead metaphor

Dead metaphors have been so abused that they have lost their individuality.

mountains face

crown of glory

Dead metaphors are mainly used as sentences and not as metaphors. Your association is dead. Now, they are just phrases, although their names still remain. Take off your hats. It’s morning time!

7. Dream metaphor

Didn’t our teachers say that eating words is not good? Here it is again. When the meaning of a metaphor becomes unclear because the sentence has been shortened, then it is called a latent metaphor.

It was burning. (what for please)

He flew to his uncle. (why?)

They blew it up. (WHY?)

Okay, it makes sense, but in and of itself, they don’t create the whole picture. Why chew words? Sleeping, yes, they are sleeping. Hibernating. But he is still alive.

8. Metaphor of synecdoche

The name sounds scary, but it’s pretty simple. In the synecdoche metaphor, a part of the association is used instead of the object. For example, feathers instead of a bird or claws instead of a crab. These associations are symbolic of the whole.

Her feet flapped like terrified wings.

9. Root metaphor

Root metaphors are so named because numerous other metaphors can be born from them. In addition, they are generalizations such as:

Time is money.

Make hay while the sun shines.

Etcetera etcetera.

10. Active metaphor

Active metaphors are newly born, so you will have to introduce them to the world. They are not familiar to the reader. That is why it is better if they are clearly explained.

His flickering love.

They crushed each other’s lives.

Any new metaphor that has not been written before is an active metaphor.

11. Submerged Metaphor

In a submerged metaphor, the first part of the metaphor or the vehicle is implied. For example: his winged dreams or his pawed ambition.

12. Dying Metaphor

It should have been called ‘rising from the dead metaphor’ or ‘the mummy metaphor’ because when you bring dead metaphors out of the grave and use them in your writing, then you can’t call them dying. I don’t know what George Orwell was thinking when he coined the name. J Metaphors of death are clichéd metaphors like

needle in a haystack

Achilles heel

A different ball game

13. Conceptual metaphor

This is hard, so read slowly. A conceptual metaphor has many metaphorical meanings in them. Its underlying meaning creates a novel thought or universal concept. Life as a journey is an old conceptual metaphor. This metaphor has universal appeal. It is not about a particular situation or a person. He is faithful to every man.

Also, if you see life as a journey, you can also use many other metaphors like

my life just stopped

I have reached the crossroads.

I came into this world without baggage.

So, Life is a journey is a conceptual metaphor.

14. Pataphor

Metaphors are metaphors stretched to the point where they don’t make sense. They are usually used to attract attention and introduce novelties.

He put the brakes on his fear, accelerated his anger and crashed into the house.

15. Simple or strict metaphor

In a simple metaphor, you don’t need to do much. Just chill it. There is nothing to refresh except just that. Seriously speaking, in a simple metaphor, the relationship between the vehicle (cool) and the tenor (it) is very intimate (close).

Duck (bow) down.

He’s crazy (crazy).

You are a (huge) dinosaur.

Simple metaphors are usually very short. Just two or three words maximum.

16. Implied Metaphor

Here the vehicle or tenor is not clearly specified, but rather implied.

Close your trap.

Look at your tongue.

Here, ‘trap’ and ‘tongue’ are used instead of mouth and words.

17. Compound or Loose Metaphor

A compound metaphor is made up of more than one similarity. In it, the writer extends a metaphor using more than one association.

He ran at the assassin, a wild beast with a pounding heart.

The air smelled of fear, fear of abandonment.

18. Complex Metaphor

In a complex metaphor, you have a simple metaphor and its achievement (not the crime). Instead of an explanation, an example would be better.

Let me shed some light on his character.

Here “throw” is used for “light” which itself does not exist.

Ketosis Made Simple: The Definition of Ketosis and How It Happens

The word ketosis often inspires confusion or even alarm in those trying to figure out what causes it and whether or not it is a good thing. Here is a simplified description of ketosis.

Definition of ketosis

Let’s go from an overly simplified definition of ketosis to a moderately simple one. Ketosis means that the body has switched from using carbohydrates as a fuel source to fats, almost exclusively.

But it’s a bit more complicated than that. Ketosis begins when there are not enough carbohydrates in the bloodstream to recharge the glycogen stores in the liver. What is glycogen? The liver produces glycogen from carbohydrates as a kind of quick food source for the body.

The lack of carbohydrates means that the body needs an alternative source of food. So the body uses fat, specifically fatty acids, instead. The liver breaks down fats into ketone bodies, commonly known as ketones. When the liver releases these ketone bodies into the bloodstream for the body to use for energy, this is ketosis.

How does ketosis occur?

When you eat carbohydrates, the body uses them for fuel and converts the rest to fat using insulin. This means that carbohydrates are not actually stored in the body, except those that are stored in the liver as glycogen.

If you use up all the carbohydrates in your bloodstream and don’t replenish them, your body will eventually have to use the fat you’re eating with your food and the fat stored in your body for fuel. It usually takes around 48 hours to induce ketosis.

Diets and Ketosis

A growing number of diets recommend reducing carbohydrate intake, as the modern diet has far more than is needed to fuel the body. Things like bread, pasta, sugar, sodas, candy, and other cereals or sugar-based foods are high in carbohydrates, and are now eaten more often and in larger quantities than ever before.

Both the Atkins diet and the South Beach diet are based on putting a person’s body into a state of ketosis to begin the process of rapid fat loss, as the body must use fat for energy during ketosis.

People following other low-carb diets, such as the Paleo diet (also called the primal or caveman diet), can also go in and out of ketosis based on their daily dietary choices, although inducing ketosis is not the primary goal of these diets.

Is ketosis dangerous?

This topic is hotly debated, but the truly dangerous condition related to ketosis is actually ketoacidosis. The body does not naturally go into ketoacidosis, insulin prevents this. But in people with type I diabetes, the body doesn’t make insulin, so a lack of glucose in the blood can lead to ketoacidosis.

how to trust again

I got the following question about how to trust again:

“My husband and I remarried after we both got divorced and went through a series of relationships. I have been hurt a lot, but I tried to end all relationships peacefully, so when I met my husband I felt alive and loved him.” I saw him as my right. great man. And he’s actually great in a lot of ways. But when I found some of his communications with his ex-wife and ex-girlfriends, I found out that he lied to them a lot. And sometimes he lied to me too. I know our The relationship is kind of control-resistance. I’m trying to control and he’s trying to resist. And I told him I don’t trust him anymore and I don’t respect him anymore for everything he’s done to other women and to me. Because he lied, I felt that I had the right to judge him and make him feel guilty for what he had done to me and other women, so he told me that he felt so bad about himself and that he is just as bad as what I told him I feel like it’s his problem and I cannot respect a man who is not responsible for what What is he doing. month and he scolded and insulted him. I know I shouldn’t have done that, but I’ve lost confidence in him. Through the Inner Bonding process I am trying to recover myself and regain my love, respect and trust for him. My question is how can I restore all this? And how can I trust that I won’t be the victim of him in the future?”

And another question about how to trust again, from another woman:

“Being direct, honest, and loyal are important attributes to me and to others. Once the ‘bridge of trust’ has been significantly burned down (i.e., infidelity in a marriage or an intimate relationship), it can truly be restored.” trust when it seems to be more important to one partner? How does the betrayed respond when the other apologizes but thinks an apology is enough? How do you prevent this feeling of mistrust from affecting future relationships?”

Learning to trust again requires working on two levels:

1. The first thing to do is your own inner work. You need to do enough Inner Bonding to become a trustworthy loving adult for your own inner child. This means:

  • Accept that you have no control over whether or not someone betrays you again, and stop trying to control the other person.
  • The total mourning for the loss of confidence.
  • Learn to trust your own inner knowing. As you develop your trust in your feelings and your Guide, you are more equipped to sense the lack of integrity in others.
  • Being willing to lose the other person instead of losing yourself.
  • Be willing to take whatever loving action you need to take on your own behalf.

2. The second level of work to learn to trust again is relationship work:

  • Both you and your partner should attend couples therapy to fully understand your relationship system. Lying is often the result of one person trying to control and the other resisting or fearing honesty. Both of you must do the work of healing old fears and beliefs and developing a loving and trustworthy adult within you who can be honest instead of a liar. You can never trust the other person not to lie or cheat on you if your own inner healing work is not a priority.
  • Apologies are never enough. Apologies mean nothing without the inner work to heal underlying fears and false beliefs that led to lying or cheating.

It is unrealistic to trust again without this inner and relationship work. The wounded self in all of us is not trustworthy and can act in very damaging ways when there is no strong, loving adult in charge of our actions. For trust to flourish in your relationship, both of you must become loving and trusting adults with yourselves and each other.

Living Together in Divorce – The Need to Set Boundaries

Like many divorcing couples around the world, you have made the decision to stay together until you both feel the time is right to divorce and part forever. This may be because you want to sell your house, pay off your combined debts, or simply move in together so you can both raise children.

To create a harmonious environment in which to coexist, you will need to set some boundaries. Imagine an invisible line drawn around you that determines what you let in or out. The line is your limit and if your ex-husband or wife carelessly crosses it, you need to tell them that it is not acceptable.

One situation where having clear boundaries could be how you sleep. If you have separate rooms and one partner thinks it’s okay to come into her room whenever she feels like it, she needs to firmly let him know that she’s crossed her line. Make it clear that she doesn’t want to have to put a lock on her door, but if your ex doesn’t stop pushing her boundaries, you will, too.

Mutual respect is the name of the game here and it will never be as important as two ex-married people living in the same house. You will need to define your boundaries at the beginning of your new living arrangement so that there is no unnecessary confusion or conflict.

Going from husband and wife to roommates is a big adjustment, so I have no doubt that you will push each other’s boundaries at times.

If the word BOUNDARY was not recognized in your marriage, then both of you could be in trouble as the lack of boundary setting could be the reason you broke up. In some homes there is a more dominant partner who makes the decisions while the more submissive partner does what they are told. If this was the status quo of their marriage, staying together will not work.

When verbalizing your feelings about a topic like sleeping arrangements, speak softly but be assertive. Getting angry and saying hurtful things will only make the situation worse. Good communication is based on listening to what a person has to say and then allowing them to do the same. It’s not about insults and control tactics.

Another area that will need definition is the ongoing parenting of your children. If there is any debate, you should take it away from the children who may have been quite upset at the end of your marriage. You can not get into heated arguments in front of your children, otherwise they had better live with one of the parents. The reasons why you have chosen to stay together may be based on financial survival, but do not forget that your children will become victims if their parents decide to wage war against them. It is also abusive if you allow it to continue.

Remember that you will eventually get divorced, so try to relax.

No one said living together through divorce would be easy, but it takes a level of maturity to make it work. Each former partner has to get over any petty issues and respect each other’s boundaries.

This could be a lesson for both of you as you learn to appreciate each other’s right to your own way of thinking and doing things. Setting boundaries in any type of relationship is essential for a healthy and happy atmosphere. You need to understand that we all have our own unique ways of how we see the world and our place in it.

In any relationship there has to be give and take, but there also has to be forgiveness.

17 reasons why God sends earthquakes in different places – Part 1

Earthquakes are defined as a sudden and violent shaking of the ground, sometimes causing great destruction, as a result of movements within the earth’s crust or volcanic action. In recent years we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of earthquakes in various or different places as well as the intensity in their magnitudes. As we see the numbers increase daily, we must ask ourselves why God sends earthquakes in different places. Here are the 17 biblical reasons why God allows earthquakes to shake the foundations of this world.

#1 Reason why big earthquakes happen:

When angels descend from heaven on earth.

Biblical references:

Matthew 28:2
Suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled away the stone and sat on it.

#2 Reason why big earthquakes happen:

Earthquakes make humanity recognize that Jesus is the Son of God and recognize him as Lord

Biblical references:

Matthew 27:50-54
Then Jesus cried out again and released his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after the resurrection of Jesus, entered the holy city of Jerusalem and appeared to many people.

The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified of the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

And many women who had come from Galilee with Jesus to take care of him, looked from afar.

#3 Reason why big earthquakes happen:

Earthquakes awaken people from their sleep both naturally and spiritually and bring both resurrection and revival.

Biblical references:
Matthew 27:50-53

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up his spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks split, and the graves opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were resurrected; and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

Matthew 28:6-7
He is not here; because he has risen, as he said he. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and that he is certainly going before you into Galilee; there you will see it. Look, I told you.”

#4 Reason why big earthquakes happen:

Earthquakes open prison doors, shake foundations, awaken people, set captives free, and bring salvation to the lost. Earthquakes occur to bring light to those who are sitting in dungeons (inner prisons) and in darkness.

Biblical references:

Acts 16:23-36
And when they had been beaten many times, they were thrown into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safe. Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and bound their feet in stocks.

But at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison shook; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. And the prison guard, waking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, thinking that the prisoners had escaped, drew his sword and was about to take his own life. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying: Don’t hurt yourself, because we are all here.

Then he called for light, ran in and fell trembling in front of Paul and Silas. And leading them out, he said, Gentlemen, what must I do to be saved?

Then they said: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your house. Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them at the same time of night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. And when he had brought them into his house, he put food before them; and he rejoiced that he had believed in God with all his house.

And when it was morning, the magistrates sent the officers, saying, “Let those men go.”

Then the jailer communicated these words to Paul, saying: The magistrates have sent to let you go. Now, then, go and go in peace.

#5 Reasons why large earthquakes occur:

Earthquakes occur to show the beginning of sorrows, they signal the coming of Jesus and the end of the world.

Biblical references:

Matthew 24:7-8
The nations and kingdoms of the earth will rise up against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many places. But all this will only be the beginning of the horrors to come.

Mark 13:8
Because nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be earthquakes in many lands, and famines. These herald only the early stages of the anguish to come.

Luke 21:7-11
Master! they exclaimed. When? And will there be any warning ahead of time?

He replied, “Don’t let anyone fool you. Because many will come announcing themselves as the Messiah and saying, ‘The time has come.’ But don’t believe them! Don’t panic. it will follow immediately, because nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and famines in many lands, and epidemics, and terrible things will happen in the heavens.

As we look at world news events and line them up with God’s Word, we are actually seeing an increase in earthquakes as we get closer to the coming of Christ. This reason was so important for us to understand that it was repeated three times in the gospels. By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word will be established.

#6 Reason why big earthquakes happen:

Earthquakes occur after the Lord passes through the earth and before He speaks

Biblical references:
1 Kings 19:11-12

And he said, Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and mighty wind split the mountains, and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord; but Jehovah was not in the wind; and after the wind, an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:

And after the earthquake a fire; but Jehovah was not in the fire; And after the fire a still small voice.

#7 Reasons why large earthquakes occur:

Earthquakes come to bring anguish and judgment. These earthquakes happen suddenly in an instant when the Lord of Hosts visits a city to bring wrath and judgment on that land.

Biblical references:

Isaiah 26:1-6
Woe to Jerusalem, the city of David! Year after year you make your many offerings, but I will send severe judgment upon you, and there will be weeping and sadness. Because Jerusalem will become, as her name “Ariel” means, an altar covered in blood. I will be your enemy, I will surround Jerusalem and besiege it, and I will build fortresses around it to destroy it. Your voice will whisper like a ghost from the earth where you lie buried.

But suddenly your ruthless enemies will be blown away like chaff before the wind. In an instant, I, the Lord of Hosts, will come upon them with thunder, earthquakes, whirlwinds and fire.

#8 Reason why big earthquakes occur:

The earthquakes come after the seer prophets have warned and there is no repentance. Earthquakes happen when the Lord roars from heaven and speaks his voice. There will be mourning of the peoples and the mountains will dry up because of the punishment for disobedience.

Biblical references:

Amos 1:1-5
Amos was a shepherd who lived in the town of Tekoa. All day he sat on the slopes of the hills watching over the sheep, keeping them from going astray. One day, in a vision, God told him some of the things that were going to happen to his nation, Israel. This vision came to him when Uzziah was king of Judah and when Jeroboam (son of Joash) was king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

This is the report of what he saw and heard: The Lord roared, like a ferocious lion from his den, from his Temple on Mount Zion. And suddenly the lush pastures of Mount Carmel dried up and dried up, and all the shepherds mourned.

The Lord says, “The people of Damascus have sinned again and again, and I will not forget it. I will not leave them unpunished anymore. For they have threshed my people in Gilead as grain is threshed with rods of iron. King Hazael’s palace, destroying the strong fortress of
Ben-hadad. I will break the bolts that locked the gates of Damascus and kill his people as far as the plain of Aven, and the people of Syria will return to Kir as slaves.” The Lord has spoken.

#9 Reason why big earthquakes occur:

Earthquakes occur on the Day of Battle

Biblical references:

Zechariah 14:1-5
Beware, because the day of the Lord is coming soon! On that day the Lord will gather the nations to fight against Jerusalem; the city will be taken, the houses looted, the loot distributed, the women raped; half of the population will be taken as slaves, and the other half will remain in what is left of the city.

Then the Lord will go out armed for war, to fight against those nations. On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will split in two, forming a very wide valley that will run from east to west, because half of the mountain will move toward the west. north and the other half to the south. You will escape through that valley, because it will reach the city gate. Yes, you will escape as your people did many centuries ago from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah, and the Lord my God will come, and all his saints and angels with him.
