Mini Fridge Vs Full Size Fridge

The main question is, mini fridge or regular fridge? What kind of fridge should I buy? There are some factors that need to be considered before purchasing a refrigerator.

1. The first factor to consider is clearance. How much free space do you have available for your potential refrigerator? The best thing you can do is dig up your tape measure and find out the exact dimensions of your clearance. Height, width and depth, write them down and always check the specifications before buying a refrigerator. Obviously, if you’re short on space, a mini fridge is more likely to be right for you.

2. The second factor would be the price. Depending on how much you are willing or able to spend will narrow down your choice. On average, mini fridges are cheaper than regular fridges. There are exceptions, of course. Some high quality mini fridges will beat regular fridges with their price tags.

3. The third factor should be the size of your family. Or put another way, how many mouths do you feed? A family with 8 members will definitely not be happy with a mini fridge. Since mini refrigerators have less storage space (cubic feet) than regular refrigerators. If you happened to make the mistake of buying a mini fridge for a large family, you may have noticed that food supplies run out too quickly. The number of times you have to visit the grocery store will grow. This can become very frustrating for some people. They may not have the time for all these trips to the supermarket.

4. Does the particular model have a built-in freezer? This can be a very important factor. Larger families generally require a freezer compartment to store meat and other less important foods like ice cream. Full-size refrigerators almost always have a built-in freezer. The size of the freezer can vary from model to model, but they all have freezers. The same cannot be said for mini fridges. Some mini fridges have freezers while many others do not. Even those with a freezer compartment can be disappointing, as those freezers are too small. They make a lot of noise but give very little space in the freezer in return.

Ask yourself where the refrigerator is supposed to go. How much money are you willing to spend? And how much food should be stored in your refrigerator? The answers to these questions will surely guide you in the right direction.
