Horde Cooking Guide

In World of Warcraft, there are 3 secondary skills that are free. Cooking is one of them. Usually, it is better to improve the skill of fishing and cooking at the same time because you can use the fish you catch to increase your cooking skill. However, fishing takes a long time, so you may decide to focus on increasing your cooking skills first.

You will find cooking trainers throughout the game. There is a cooking trainer in Orgrimmar who can teach you the basics. Buy flint, tinder, and wood from Trak’gen so you can build a campfire and cook wherever you like. Remember that you need a fire to cook, so if you can’t make a fire you will have to find one. Stand near the fire to cook.

Your cooking trainer can provide you with recipes that you can learn in exchange for a few coins. She can also obtain recipes, spices, milk, and water from kitchen vendors and vendors of commercial products.

There are five cooking levels: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Craftsman, and Master. They all require minimum character levels and provide maximum cooking skill for each level.

The simplest and cheapest apprentice recipes are baked egg with herbs, roast wild boar meat and grilled wolf meat.

For Horde levels 1-40, you must kill Spotted Boar in Orgrimmar for Thick Boar Meat, Stalking Wolves in Mulgore for Stringy Wolf Meat, and Dark Hounds in Tirisfal Glade. Start with Spiced Wolf Meat at level 10 and be sure to use mild spices. You can cook chunks of boar meat and stringy wolf meat up to level 40.

At this point, the hordes must start fishing to level up.

At Horde level 40-90, you should start training as a Journeyman Cook when you reach level 50. Purchase Smoked Bear Meat Recipe from Andrew Hilbert in Silverpine Forest. You will also need to kill Grizzled Bears in Silverpine Forest to get Bear Meat.

At Horde level 90 to 125, you must undertake a quest. Find Grub in the Barrens and get the Dig Rat Stew quest. You will have to kill more than 30 Dig Rats. When you finish the quest, cook Rat Stew until you reach level 125.

When you reach Horde level 125 to 175, it’s time to start training as an expert cook. Travel to Shadowprey Village and buy a Wulan Expert Cookbook. Find Zargh at the crossroads and buy 60 Hot Spices and the Hot Lion Chops Recipe. Next, get 50-60 pieces of Cougar Meat in Hillsbrad Foothills.

For Horde levels 175 to 200, you can kill Whiptail Raptors at Grom’gol Base Camp for Raptor Eggs and Raptor Meat. Cook all the eggs first. When you are at level 175 you will be able to learn how to roast raptors. Cook raptor meat until you reach level 225.

You can also reach Horde level 200 to 225 by training for Spider Sausage. You can get White Spider Meat from Darkfangs.

Once you get to Horde level 225, you need to head over to Gadgetzen and get the Dirge Quickcleave Crafting Cooking quest. This is the Clamiette Surprise. Kill Steeljaw Snappers and get Bigmouth Clams. While in Gadgetzen, you will also need 10 Spicy Clam Meats, 20 Alterac Swiss Cheeses which you can buy from the Innkeeper, and 12 Giant Roc Eggs. While in the area, kill some tender wolf meat and purchase Bale’s Monster Omelet recipe. Buy some calming spices because you will need them later.

To go from Horde level 225 to 285, you need to cook the eggs in Monster Omelets. Cook all the Tender Wolf Meat you have until you reach level 285. If you don’t have enough meat, you’ll have to get more. You can also visit Bale and buy the recipes for Juicy Bear Burger and Charred Bear Kebobs. Kill bears in Felwood until you reach level 285.

To reach the final stage in Horde Level 285 to 300, you need to get the Desert Recipe quests from Calandrath. After completing the quest, you will receive the Desert Smoked Dumplings recipe.

Finish off by killing Strikers and Dredge Crushers to get Sand Worm Meat. She starts cooking meat with soothing spices until she reaches level 300.

Congratulations! You are now a master chef.
