Hi-tech rearview mirror video cameras need magnification zoom function

All of us have been fooled by a car rear view mirror before as to the distance of another object. Sometimes things seem closer, sometimes farther depending on the rear view mirror. Many car mirrors even have a notation on them, you may have seen this; “objects appear to be closer than they really are”, and maybe this helps clarify my point here. Well, then, let’s talk about all this.

You see, it would be nice to not have to look at super small objects in a rearview mirror like they’re on your iPhone. Is there any way to avoid this problem? Sure there is, one way is to use high definition video cameras and bigger screens for our cars. This could really help with performance cars or delivery vehicles that do a lot of backing up.

Now there was an interesting article on the GizMag Tech website recently titled; “Infiniti EMERG-E Demonstrator Makes Its World Debut” Posted on July 3, 2012 and one of the features of this sexy and sleek Infinity sports car is a high tech rearview mirror so there’s no extra parasitic drag for drivers. protruding rear view mirrors. the side of the car, more like a fledgling mirror with a little video camera inside, very cool, and it looks totally cool.

Now, I would like to make a suggestion to these engineers, because they may not think like us intense drivers who will be using the car. You see, owners and drivers will require looks, but we demand outright performance, and we also want bells and whistles to serve our will. You know, like a cup holder that will latch onto our drinks and hold them in a 3G banked turn, or when heading to 60mph from a standstill in 2.6 seconds. Who needs their drink all over the car or dashboard on full braking?

Next, if a performance driver is really going to use this because he also needs to know what’s behind him, like how far back is the last one he passed, or if there are cars with light bars on top, or cyclists with police team on board. Having an HD video camera should probably be a standard feature on all such vehicles, but also delivery vehicles, at least for safety. In fact, I hope you will please consider all of this and think about it. Let me know if you have any new innovative ideas in this line of thought.
