Get rid of stretch marks at home

Stretch marks have often been a reason to be shy. It’s natural to have them, but to have those guys that are so dark, that they really look dirty, that’s something else.
Laser surgery to remove stretch marks is very expensive. Why pay hundreds when you can remove those pregnancy/exercise scars yourself?

Many times, stretch marks appear in the parts where fat is stored. These are the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, upper arms, armpits, and breasts. Women who have just given birth have theirs as reddish marks that later turn light purple. These can also be obtained through physical activities such as exercising. Also, if your weight goes up and down on the scale, your skin is often stretched and the collagen that is normally produced is disrupted, resulting in discoloration.

Realistically, stretch marks cannot be removed instantly. According to doctors, these are already scars. What you can do is make them less noticeable by lightening the dark spots.
The most common home remedy to get rid of stretch marks fast is cocoa butter. This has been proven by mothers who had recently given birth. It is also possible that the massaging action of applying the cocoa butter is attributed to less noticeable stretch marks.

Another solution you can try is to exfoliate. Choose a product that works best for you. After exfoliating, use a good lotion on the scars. Some have even tried squeezing open a vitamin E capsule and applying the liquid to the stretch mark area. According to them, it worked.

You can also use olive oils and coconut butter. Thoroughly massage these topical ointments into the area where the stretch marks are located. Do this religiously and regularly. Sooner or later, you will see results.

If you prefer the ones you can buy at the pharmacy, there are a number of products you can use. One example is Palmer’s Stretch Mark Cream. It is herbal and quite safe and effective in getting rid of those unwanted stretch marks on thighs, buttocks, stomach, and breasts. It also restores your skin to its original texture.

Stick to a solution. Do not go from one home remedy to another, as this could have additional side effects. Decide which remedy you would like to try and stick with it for at least 6 to 12 weeks. If there are no improvements, you can try another one.

Prevention is better than cure and the most effective way to avoid stretch marks is to exercise. By doing so, your muscles and skin stay firm. You can also eat foods that are rich in protein, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Drink plenty of water because they can also help make your skin healthier.

However, stretch marks are not dangerous to health. Having them does not mean that the person will not be able to function properly. It is normal for everyone to worry about their appearance and although these stretch marks are located in areas that are not normally seen, the fact that they still have them can reduce your confidence.

We all have a right to feel good about ourselves and if it lessens the chance of our stretch marks being noticed, so be it. If it also means getting rid of stretch marks fast, then go for it.
