Havana Tourism – An Insider Guide

If this is your first vacation in Havana, head straight to the magnificently restored Habana Vieja (Old Havana). Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, much of the area has been painstakingly restored to its former glory. It is a colonial marvel, a riot of color and full of atmosphere, its peculiar combination of architectural styles is endlessly fascinating.

The area is a treasure to walk around and, along with Vedado, is the liveliest part of the city during the day. It has four beautiful squares from the 16th century. Take a look at the quiet Plaza Vieja (right). There are a plethora of museums and galleries in the area, and many of the most impressive sights in Havana.

Not to be missed is an impressive craft market, Fria de la Artesana, just behind the Church of Paula on Calle San Pedro. It sells every conceivable Cuban handicraft, is equipped with a CADECA, fruit juice vendors, kiosks, and a seating area where you can relax with a drink and enjoy a view of the port (note, however, that it is closed on Mondays). ).

Step off the main street, Calle Obispo, and you’ll see a completely different side of the old town: a well-established residential area that’s home to around 70,000 people. Have a coffee at Café El Escorial in Plaza Vieja. Alternatively, avoid the tourists and head to La Barrita, in the impressive art deco Bacardi building on Avenida de los Misiones. In Parque Central, the busy main square, watch the world go by from the terrace of Hotel Inglaterra. Step into the small café at the Hotel Telgrafo, a tranquil escape with a cascading fountain trickling over a colorful mosaic. Or enjoy one of the best mojitos in Havana at the NH Hotel. For culture, check out the Museo de Bellas Artes, Havana’s wonderful international art museum, right next to Parque Central and a few meters from Calle Obispo. Stop by to visit the room at Hotel Ambos Mundos where Ernest Hemingway wrote some of his world-famous literary works while standing at his desk.

Visit the colorful and offbeat Arte Corte, a barbershop that doubles as a museum and art gallery. It features a beautiful array of antiques and some intriguing paintings by Cuban artists, including several by the owner, Pepito. Calle Aguiar #10, between Peña Pobre and Avenida de las Misiones.

If all that wandering makes you hungry, currently the best restaurant in the area for lunch is Café del Oriente. It is a pleasant, well-air-conditioned oasis with a stylish interior and service to match. Calle Oficios #112, corner with Calle Amargura. Telephone. 860 6686.

Havana’s weather-beaten 8km long promenade is by far the city’s most beloved gathering place. Overlooking the stretch of water that separates Cuba from Florida, the famous stretch is a place for dreamers, lovers and friends. It is the spiritual heart of the city and the nerve center of its social life, a 24-hour phenomenon. Most nights it is packed with people taking in the balmy sea air; during the day it is a place to pause. One of the best views of the Malecón is from the elegant garden terrace of the Hotel Nacional.

If you fancy a breathtaking panoramic view, check out La Torre. The view, from the 33rd floor of the tallest residential building in Havana, is impressive. What makes it so special is that you can walk around the building, from the bar to the restaurant, and enjoy a 360-degree view of the bay and the city. FOCSA building, 17th street corner M street, Vedado. Telephone. 832 2451.

The neighborhood itself, Vedado, is perhaps the most fascinating in Havana. No vacation in Havana would be complete without visiting it. It’s funky, diverse and alternative. You could easily miss the charms of its most vibrant avenue, Avenida 23, also known as La Rampa, if you only see the rather gloomy lower end that stretches from the Malecón to the quaint Yara cinema. Perched on the most cosmopolitan intersection of the city, the Yara is a cultural institution of Havana.

The heart of La Rampa begins to beat to the west of the Yara. Here, and in the nearby streets, you’ll find relatively few tourists, a welcome change from other parts of the city. The general atmosphere is vertiginous 1970. From the mulatto girls dressed all in white (exhibits of the Afro-Caribbean santera religion) to the reggaetan fans with their huge sunglasses, the area is a cornucopia of color and personality. Watch the world go by alongside the locals at the popular sidewalk bar, La Rampita.

On very hot days, Havana can feel like a pressure cooker. So instead of suffering through the dead heat of downtown, head to the beach. The best beaches in Havana are Tropicoco (also known as Santa Mara del Mar) and neighboring Megano. They are located about 20 km east of the city in the Playas Del Este area.

The area is immensely popular with locals and visitors alike for its turquoise Atlantic waters and friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Tropicoco is the more touristy of the two. Megano is much more serene, with fewer people. In the Tropicoco branch of the Club Náutico you can rent snorkeling equipment, pedal boats, banana boats, kayaks and catamarans.

The area’s charm is that it’s still relatively undeveloped, apart from a seemingly random cluster of villas, austere Soviet-style hotels, and cheap, cheerful restaurants. Just a few meters along the shoreline and you’ll always find your own little piece of sandy solitude.

It’s a 30-minute taxi ride from the city center. Pay no more than 20CUC and agree on the rate in advance. A special tourist bus service runs every 30 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. It stops right in front of the Hotel Inglaterra in Parque Central and takes passengers to Megano (there is a choice of three beach stops, Tropicoco being the first). A round trip ticket costs 3CUC. Children under the age of six travel for free.

Located in dusty Centro Habana, this is the spiritual home of Afro-Cuban culture in the capital. This little pedestrian street is where it is every Sunday, from noon to around 3pm. Feverish live music sessions provided for free by leading rumba bands are becoming increasingly popular. The event draws large crowds, and white-clad converts to the Afro-Cuban religion (Santera) add an exotic splash of color. The area itself is quirky and alternative: an urban art project with flamboyantly painted houses, eye-catching street murals, weird and wonderful shops, and amazing sculptures made from scrap metal. Take a look at the beautifully colored houses in front of the entrance. Calle San Lázaro, between streets Hospital and Aramburu.

Just a five-minute walk from Parque Central, Havana’s Capitolio Nacional is a carbon copy of the Capitolio in Washington. It is the most extravagant and extraordinary building in Havana. Resplendent with marble and gold, it was completed in 1929 by a 5,000-strong construction team after more than three years of work, overseen by Cuban dictator Gerardo Machado. The 11 meter bronze Statue of the Republic is the third largest statue in the world. At its feet is a diamond that marks kilometer zero, from which road distances from Havana to other parts of Cuba are measured. The entrance costs 3CUC.Corner of Industria street and Barcelona street, old Havana.

Havana’s most prosperous suburb, Miramar, offers a fascinating insight into upward mobility habaneros Live. Fifth Avenue is the most beautiful (albeit traffic-heavy) avenue in the city, while the parallel Third Avenue is attractive for its quieter, more welcoming neighborhood feel and relative lack of tourists. One of the places most frequented by the burgeoning middle class of Havana is the Business Center in Miramar.

A mix of office buildings and a shopping center dotted with open-air tiled walkways, along with one of Havana’s few five-star hotels, the Mela Habana, is a very pleasant area to spend a few hours. Facilities include four cafes/restaurants (all called ‘Amelia’), a cool new wine bar called ‘Halo’s’, a supermarket, a pharmacy, various boutiques and shops selling clothing, shoes, sporting goods and jewellery. Around the corner at the smaller Centro Comodoro, the emphasis is mostly on clothes, as well as perfumes and jewelry.

The large saltwater swimming pool and bathing area at Hotel Copacabana in Miramar is a well-kept secret. On weekdays, it’s pleasantly quiet, usually with just a handful of tourists and their Cuban friends and/or lovers. On weekends it fills up with wealthy Cubans and hotel guests.

The entry for non-residents is 10CUC. You get 8CUC credit that you spend at the pool bar for food and/or drinks. First Avenue, between 44th Street and 46th Street, Miramar.

The University of Havana is a beautiful and bleak dream of a place that looms imperiously over the deteriorated streets below. Its grounds are surprisingly neglected by tourists, and all the better for it. The library is made up of a series of rooms. The main library, Rubn Martnez Villena, dates from 1936. It’s a quaint spot with long chocolate-colored reading desks and colorful tile floors.

Sit by the window for a while on a very hot day. Feel the breeze blowing and the leaves whistling, and you’ll probably want to be a student again. (Just don’t ruin the experience by using the rather nasty toilets!). O Street, between 23rd Avenue and 25th Street, Vedado.

A Soviet-style asphalt plaza surrounded mostly by government buildings, the Plaza de la Revolución is Cuba’s political nerve center. The best time to see this impressive place is at night, when its most striking feature, two bronze silhouettes of revolutionary icons Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, are spectacularly illuminated. The other big attraction is the Jos Mart Memorial and Museum, a tribute to Cuba’s seminal revolutionary. The northwest side of the Plaza is home to El Teatro Nacional, Cuba’s National Theater. In the same building is one of the city’s most beloved live music venues, Café Cantante Mi Habana. Corner of Avenida Paseo and Carlos Manuel de Cspedes, Vedado.

What was, before Castro, the largest Asian community in Latin America is now reduced to a small handful of streets in Central Havana. This is El Barrio Chino: Chinatown. It’s delightfully incongruous, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk from Parque Central. Chinese food lovers should visit the Tien-Tan restaurant on the walking street Cuchillo, probably the best Asian restaurant in the area. And, if you have a particularly sweet tooth, call sweetenerat the corner of Calle San Nicols and Calle Zanja (Dragones) for a tasting of some of the tastiest cakes in Havana.

How do I get my wife to come home? – 3 simple steps to make her come home

One of the most disturbing things in life is when your marriage falls apart. You can’t help but feel like you’ve failed yourself and your family. Your wife is your other half. Without it, you can’t even begin to assess where you went wrong in the relationship. If there has been a lot of pressure at home and you have pushed her away because of it, you first have to answer the question “how do I get my wife to come home?” before you can start fixing things.

You have to make some changes in your behavior and personality if you really want to make sure that she comes back and stays forever. There’s no point in bringing her back if it just means you’re going to play with her and show her that she was better off without you. It takes a real man to swallow her pride and realize that she’s just not being as good of a husband as she can be. Sure we can be short-tempered or stingy, but ultimately all we want is what’s best for our family. Ask yourself this: have you been putting the interests of your family first?

You have to look at your relationship in a mirror. You look in the mirror and currently see a rift between you and your wife. It’s there because you broke the mirror. Take a closer look and see what made the crack in the first place. Maybe, after a while, the rift might go away…if you don’t let whatever caused it in the first place come near your relationship anymore. Arguing in front of children is one of the things you should avoid from the beginning of your marriage. You want to show them that two adults can discuss things politely and not have to come to blows about it.

As soon as you have decided to be a man and take charge of your family and guide them back to where you want them to go, read the following three points that ordinary men have used to get their wife to come home so they can talk things out. through:

  1. There is one thing that really annoys women the most and that is men who say something but never do it, that is. men who do not keep their word. There’s no point in saying, “you’re going to change,” if it’s all going to be a moment of déjà vu and she ends up leaving you again. Show him that you are real. She married a man she trusted and left you because you broke her trust. She wants to trust you again, but you have to show her that she can trust you again. She only then she comes back and stays.
  2. Your wife is not your servant. She can clean and make meals for everyone, but if she feels that she was not recognized for this, there is no point in her coming back. She shows a little appreciation and she will realize that you have changed for the better. There’s not much reason for your wife to come back if she’s just going to be pushed into the kitchen again. Show your wife that you’ve changed by cooking from time to time and taking your share of the housework or asking your kids to do the same. She wants a man of the house, not another little boy to raise.
  3. We guys like to think we know it all. Heck, even when we know we don’t know the answer to something, just to assert our “masculinity,” we’ll pretend we know the answer. Apologizing to your wife will show that you have changed to someone more humble. Just because you’re humble doesn’t mean you’re not confident. Someone who is able to apologize when they are wrong has the gift of empathy and is able to identify when they have upset someone. If you want to show that you have changed, show that you are more empathetic and sensitive to your wife’s feelings. There is such a thing as apologizing too much and not apologizing at all. You have to inhabit the sweet spot in the middle and only apologize when necessary. If you are able to show your woman that you understand what she expects of you when you make a mistake, you will show her that you are listening to her. As a result, she has no reason to believe that you haven’t changed, which gives her some pretty compelling arguments for her to come back to you.

Show your woman that you know what you are doing by following the 3 tips listed above. You asked, “How do I get my wife to come home?“and you got it. The advice seems pretty trivial, but believe me. Sit down, be honest with yourself and identify where you went wrong and before you know it, she’ll be right back in your arms.

Technology

Why are some iPhone messages green and others blue?

In iOS 7, the Messages app will display conversations with a green or blue background. If you’ve used iOS 6, you may have noticed that messages had a green or blue Send button. These colors are not random and actually tell you whether the message will be sent as a normal SMS text message or as an iMessage.

Green is for an SMS text message

The green background or Send button indicates that the message will be sent as a normal SMS text message using the messaging plan provided by your cell phone provider. Regular texting rates will apply, depending on your texting plan.

SMS text messaging is used automatically when sending a text message to someone who doesn’t have an Apple device. For example, if you are texting someone with a basic cell phone (not a smartphone) or any smartphone that is not an iPhone (Android, BlackBerry, Windows…), their iPhone will display the message on a green background (or have a green Send button for iOS 6 users). SMS text messaging has been around for years, even before the iPhone existed and everyone had basic cell phones.

Blue is for iMessage

The blue background or Send button indicates that the message will be sent as an iMessage.

Apple sends an iMessage instead of your cell phone provider. The iMessage is sent over an Internet connection rather than through the cell phone’s control channel. Your cell phone provider doesn’t charge text messaging fees when you send an iMessage.

When you send someone a message with an Apple device, your iPhone automatically recognizes if the sender has an Apple ID and sends the message as iMessage. On your iPhone, the message will display with a blue background (or have a blue Send button for iOS 6 users).

Apple routes iMessages based on a user’s Apple ID. So anyone with an iPad or Mac can send iMessages. However, because the iPad or Mac computer does not have access to a cell phone control channel, it cannot send regular SMS text messages.

Your iPhone automatically determines whether a message is sent as a normal SMS text message or as an iMessage. There is no need to worry about selecting one method or another. However, if you want some control over when an SMS or iMessage is sent, check out the messaging options in iPhone settings.

Retail Company Vision, Mission and Values

During the delivery of team building trainings, it was very surprising to discover that many employees and sometimes even managers and supervisors do not know the mission and vision of the company. As a retail owner or manager, what are you doing to get this important message across? How do you support your company’s vision and mission every day? Is it written on the board? Do you talk about it during meetings? Do they show it on the company website? Can your customers see it? How to empower employees to fulfill that vision and mission?

Another confusing aspect is that company leaders often confuse mission and vision statements. Sometimes mission/vision statements get mixed up. Many companies only have a mission or vision statement. I also know some companies without any vision and mission!

Why is it important to identify it? Because it is essential to understand where you are going, where your company is going to be in the future (vision) and how to get there (vision). You also want your stakeholders, employees and customers to know, understand and share it.

What comes first? If you have just started a new company (store), then the vision will guide the mission statement. If you have an established business where the mission is stated, many times, the mission guides the vision statement.

Vision

A vision statement defines the desired or anticipated future state of the business. The vision is a long-term vision, it is the source of inspiration. It’s how to make a difference for customers, for the community and for the world.

Your vision could project a compelling story about the future. When Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, said “An Apple on every desk”, it was his vision of the company.

The vision statement should include:

• Vivid and clear image
• Description of a bright future
• Memorable and engaging writing
• Realistic aspirations
• Alignment with values and organizational culture

Apple’s vision statement: “Make a contribution to the world by creating tools for the mind that advance humanity.”

CVS (Retail Pharmacy) Vision Statement: “We strive to improve the quality of human life.”

Mission

The mission is a brief, written, formal statement of the purpose of an organization or a team. The company’s mission statement explains why and for what purpose the company was formed, what services, goods, and ideas it offers to the public, and what its standards are. It must distinguish the company from all the others and be clear, brief and simple so that it is understood by everyone (employees and customers).

A mission statement should answer three questions:

1. What do we do?

• A summary of your products and services

Dollar Store Mission: “Brighter, cleaner stores, professionally marketed, giving you MORE selection, MORE value, and a whole lot MORE FUN!”

2. How do we do it?

• A statement about the commitment and unique approach to business.

Staples Mission: “What is Staples Soul? Staples Soul reflects our commitment to corporate responsibility. It is a holistic approach to business that recognizes the close connection between our financial success and our desire to have a positive impact on our associates, communities and the planet by uniting the following areas: diversity, environment, our community and ethics. That’s how we do business, that’s Staples Soul.”

Best Buy Mission Statement: “Our formula is simple: We’re a growing company focused on better solving our customers’ unmet needs, and we trust our employees to solve those puzzles. Thank you for visiting.”

• A statement summarizing your company’s aspirations

“We strive to be the leaders in our region within the men’s apparel industry.”

3. Who do we do it for?

• A statement regarding clients

“Apple is committed to bringing the best personal computing experience to students, educators, creative professionals and consumers around the world through its innovative hardware, software and Internet offerings.”

• A statement regarding customer service, product knowledge

BC Liquor Stores Mission Statement: “To be a profitable, customer-focused spirits retailer dedicated to innovation, exemplary service, helpful product knowledge and social responsibility.”

Target Mission: “Our mission is to make Target the preferred shopping destination for our guests by offering exceptional value, continuous innovation and an exceptional guest experience by consistently delivering on our Expect More. Pay Less.® brand promise.” .

• A statement regarding your employees

“We are committed to the growth and professional development of our employees. They are what makes our company great.”

Values

The value statement is an expression of a company’s core beliefs. Values drive the culture and priorities of an organization. Companies write the value statement to identify and connect with the consumer. In addition, this statement allows company personnel to be aware of the company’s priorities and goals.

Best Buy Value Statement:

We have four values that guide our actions:

* Have fun being the best.
* Learn from challenge and change.
* Show respect, humility and integrity.
* Unleash the power of our people.

Business Brochure Writing: What Is “Pitch” and Why It Matters

The “tone” of a written piece, such as your brochure, can best be defined as the “feel” or “emotional effect” that this piece has.

Many things make up the “tone”. The words you use in the brochure about him. The length of his sentences. The colors you wear. The fountain. The score. The type of graphics or photos. The graphic design. The type of paper you use.

To give your brochure the right “tone”, all of these elements need to come together, giving it a particular feel.

“That’s good,” I bet you’re saying right now. “Wake me up when you’re done with your art reading.”

Sorry! Back up the Mac, or park your PC, right now and listen up.

This is not a fanciful, boastful, artistic, fuzzy concept. It is real. And it has real consequences (read: “results”).

I’ll start by describing an actual brochure I saw, one I’ve used as a very bad example, during brochure workshops I’ve given in the Detroit area.

This brochure was about a very sensitive and heartbreaking topic: domestic violence. It was made by a metropolitan agency to a.) make the public aware that domestic violence harms children and is, by extension, child abuse b.) warn the perpetrators of the crime that it is, well, a crime. (This brochure was so poorly written to begin with that it was hard to figure out who it was addressed to. In fact, it stumped my workshop participants.)

Now, writing this brochure without being sure of the target market was not the least of his problems. This is where we get to the pitch.

It was a hard 1 color brochure (yes, 1 color, black type on white paper. It looked like something erased and photocopied) with large letters and sentences that seemed to scream at you. The headline read: “NO EXCUSE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS A CRIME!” The word “you” was used, but in a harsh and high-handed tone: “What you need to know about…”. this outrageous headline followed.

Got your attention, okay. But her tone was so strident and harsh that she didn’t invite me to come in, to learn, to seek help. She just pushed me away.

As you can see, the “tone” is very important.

Now, I’ll take another example, also from a government agency and dealing with children, that does a much, much better job.

This brochure was also 1 color. Only it was done by a graphic artist who knew how to use many shades of gray, screens and other techniques to turn what was originally black into a soft, warm and inviting image.
In the center of the brochure were black and white photos of 4 smiling children, each of a different race.

Above the children was the heading: “The health insurance you need.”

In the center of the children was a circle with the words “MICild,” the acronym for low-cost children’s insurance, which played on the abbreviation for the Michigan state zip code. Instantly known by your target market.

Then at the bottom of the brochure, still on the cover, were the words “At a price you can afford,” followed by the toll-free number.

The general tone of this brochure is “We want to help you. We respect you. We understand you.” (And that’s just for checking out the cover!”)

See the difference? Although both brochures were from government agencies, even though both brochures were in one color, the difference between them is huge. Like, I’m sure, were the results.

In these short paragraphs, I’ve given you a little insight into what tone is and why it’s important. There are many more examples in “tone” types; how each “tone” is achieved with the chosen words, the length and structure of the sentence, the type of paper, etc. However, I hope that in these short paragraphs you can begin to understand the tone and its importance. And, most importantly, you can understand how you can apply it to your own brochure.

A simple exercise that can develop your charisma to powerfully seductive levels

As you sit there now, reading these words, arranged together to give you the perspective you want, imagine what it would be like if you had incredible social power. If you had that magnetism that made everyone turn and look when you walked into a room. You could stand there, knowing that all the people watching you were waiting for you to choose them to speak. That you would spend your precious time exchanging words with them, which, of course, would naturally and automatically increase their pleasure and happiness, making those around you yearn for your presence even more.

Sound exaggerated? Well, it isn’t. Not really. Some specific practice is needed. And a little time. But just as you can increase the size of your biceps by doing curls a few times a week, you can increase your charisma with some simple, targeted exercises. One of the most common misconceptions about social skills is that they are innate. That some people have them and others don’t. Lucky for you, that’s not true. You can safely build them as you can develop those ripped abs that you have hidden under your shirt.

One of my passions is self-improvement and self-realization. And one of the most enjoyed topics on my blob is how to easily develop charisma and great social skills. I have written many articles about it, as I have been an explorer of the mind for many years. One of the greatest discoveries of human potential is that almost EVERYTHING can be improved through specific practice and the constant application of certain exercises. Here you will learn how to do social “exercises” that will greatly improve your “charismatic” muscle.

One of the secrets of charisma is the mindset and the belief that you have everything you need within you. You enter all social situations completely devoid of hidden needs or secret agendas. It is enough for you to engage in friendly conversation meant to make others feel more empowered and enlightened. When you have this quality, people will sense it immediately before they even speak to you and will crave your attention. The reason for this is that most people walk with various unexpected needs, which can appear as fears, hidden agendas, and neediness. No one likes to talk to someone when they feel that the other person “wants something” from them, be it money, affection or whatever.

But when YOU move through the world, free from any agenda and desire for others to meet your needs, you will come across as different, powerful, and incredibly charismatic. How do you develop this trait? Just for practice. The way to do this is to consciously remember to find out something interesting about the person you’re talking to, and then let them know that you appreciate that about them. Once you discover something great about them and let them know in no uncertain terms that you appreciate that about them, politely leave the conversation. Remember, this is like doing curls for your muscular charisma. Every time you do this, interact, find something cool, appreciate it and walk away, give yourself a point. The more points you accumulate over time, the more charismatic you will become. Of course, if you start talking about yourself, you lose points.

If you think of this as an exercise and set goals for yourself, like three points a week, you will steadily develop an increasingly magnetic personality. And you can do this anywhere, anytime, anywhere. Waiting in line at the supermarket, sitting on the bus, every time you see your next door neighbor. If this sounds scary, start slow. Maybe one point a week. But just like physical exercise, the more you do this, the easier it becomes, and the more outgoing and magnetically charismatic you become. Before long you have a glow that is almost unheard of in today’s “me” society. And THAT will get you more money, love, recognition, and sex (or whatever you want) than you ever thought possible.

Marijuana has two active chemicals that have medicinal properties and have medicinal applications. These two chemicals are cannabidiol and tetrahydrocannabinol. Cannabidiol and tetrahydrocannabinol have analgesic properties. Tetrahydrocannabinol also relieves nausea and vomiting, protects brain cells as it is neuroprotective, aids sleep, and helps treat PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). Cannabidiol, in addition to being an analgesic, has antipsychotic effects, reduces anxiety, has antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects that inhibit the migration, adhesion, and invasion of cancer cells, promotes cardiovascular health, and many other positive effects.

Medical cannabis can help with muscle spasms. Unlike the popular misconception that the smoke generated by smoking marijuana damages the lungs, marijuana smoke does not damage the lungs. Tobacco smoke is harmful to the lungs, but there were no symptoms from smoking marijuana. Some studies have found that marijuana use has a positive effect on lung capacity. This is because inhalation of the drug requires long, deep breaths. Long, deep breathing improves lung capacity. As the process of taking the drug involves long deep inhalations and long deep exhalations, it has a good effect on the lungs. There is a small chance that marijuana could be used to treat glaucoma. Glaucoma is an eye disease in which pressure on the eyeball increases, damaging the optic nerve and causing vision loss. Smoking marijuana lowers the pressure inside the eye, thus providing relief.
