Florida: Florida Fun, World’s Best Vacation for Your Money

Take my word for it, Florida is a fabulous place to vacation and get a lot of value for your money. I have traveled to more than 50 countries and 6 continents of the world. I am very familiar with what is available to the tourist around the world.

Florida offers the largest variety of things to do at affordable prices than anywhere else you’ve seen. The Sunshine State remains the number one favorite among Brits and Canadians. Not to mention that Florida is extremely popular with Latinos from Central and South America.

Whether you like sunny beaches, world-class attractions, fine dining, or a luxurious place to just relax, Florida is full of options. I was born in Orlando, a paradise for children, which is home to Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, various water parks and resorts. I even dated Cinderella when she was working at Disney World my first summer out of high school. I have been a lifeguard at Water Mania and Wetn’Wild, just two of our many water parks in Central Florida. I have surfed Cocoa Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, try the West Coast, where you can catch a romantic sunset on the beach. Clearwater, Sarasota and St. Petersburg are all favorites among retirees. The Emerald Coast around Panama City and Pensacola (smaller coastal towns even better) are delightfully enchanting.

Tampa is one of our fastest growing cities and home to the Devil Rays and Bucaneers if you want to attend a sporting event. Spring in Florida is home to the boys of the summer with baseball franchises across North America who come here to train before the regular season. It’s a fun way to spend an afternoon and watch your favorite athletes all in one place.

If Latin flavor is your thing, try Miami, where you can tap your feet to the beat of hot salsa and spicy meringue. A little pretentious, to be sure, but always lively, Miami has a lot to offer.

If you like yachts and speedboats, try visiting Fort Lauderdale, one of the largest ports in the world. There are several cruises leaving Fort Lauderdale weekly to the Caribbean that are sure to satisfy.

The Florida Keys, four hours south of Miami by car, have some lovely islands and places to visit if you just want to relax and soak up the sun.

Florida manatees can be seen at some of our natural springs. Airboat rides can also be found along some rivers, where you can also see some alligators and fish.

These are just a few of the countless things you can do to keep yourself entertained in the great state of Florida. At the end of the day, though, you’ll just want to kick back and drink some fresh-squeezed orange juice, eat a slice of key lime pie, and enjoy the breeze with family and friends.
