The world’s largest beer manufacturer, Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI), has announced the official opening of its largest brewery in Asia Pacific. This facility will serve as the base for Budweiser APAC’s craft brand production in China. It is located in Hanjiang, Putian, China.

The new Craft brewery builds is the first to open in Fujian province. AB InBev has been investing in the region to meet growing demand for premium beer in China. Since 2008, retail sales have more than doubled. According to Euromonitor, 550 billion yuan ($80 billion) is spent on beer annually in China.

The facility is designed to brew high-quality craft beer. With state-of-the-art equipment, the brewery will be able to fill 160,000 cans an hour. And the raw ingredients it uses are from global sources. It also has a green layout of urban gardens.

To reduce environmental impact, the facility is equipped with thermal energy systems that save 13. million kg of CO2 per year. These systems also save 170,000 tons of water and 1.65 million m3 of natural gas.

As part of its investment in the Putian brewery, Budweiser APAC has partnered with CIMC Liquid Process Technology, a leading provider of brewing systems in China. This partnership previously helped Budweiser to launch the Budweiser Wuhan Craft Brewing Project.

The brewery is a 7,450 sq meter facility. It has a full traceability system that enables the company to trace beer movements within four hours. Additionally, the brewery includes a laboratory, offices, and a tourist corridor.

The brewery is located in the AB InBev Food Industrial Park in Hanjiang, Putian. The facility will be completed in 2022. Besides producing beer, Budweiser APAC plans to invest in local craft brands. They have also invested in malting, canning, and glass manufacturing operations. All of these are designed to meet the company’s global standards.

In addition to developing a local craft brand, Budweiser APAC will focus on expanding its presence in the provincial market. It has received guidance from the local government, and is actively investing in a number of breweries in Putian.

The facility will also be equipped with a product innovation lab. This lab will help the company to develop new products and test its existing products to meet consumer demands.

The Bud APAC brewery has invested in a number of energy-saving technologies, including a grid-connected solar-powered system. As a result, the brewery generates 15 million kWh of renewable electricity annually. It also employs a full traceability system to help it trace its supply chain. The brewery’s bottles carry a traceability code that extracts data on the suppliers and the malt used in its beer.

The production capacity of the brewery is 15 million hectoliters, and the production area is 7,450 square meters. Its brewery will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including a bottling line. The brewing process will be carried out in accordance with the company’s quality standards.

The Bud APAC brewery is aiming to serve the growing demand for premium beer in China. This will be achieved through the development of the Budweiser Putian brewery as a base for crafting high-end beer brands.
