Five Steps to Creating a Goal Medal Life – Part I

The Olympics come and go. As always, it is

an exciting event with its dramatic twists and turns,

joys, surprises and disappointments like these great

athletes performed at their peak in front of millions, if not

billions of fans for the glory of representing their country

and possibly receive a gold medal.

You too can experience the same emotion in your life.

What are you doing now to achieve your “goal” medal?

What are you doing to achieve your goals in life?

You don’t need to be a world-class athlete to achieve

success in life. However, you can use many of the same

techniques these athletes use to achieve their goals.

The following are five tips to help you stand on the

platform of the winner in life:

1. Create passion with goal setting

Take the time to write down goals that excite you. Ask

yourself the following questions:

* How will I feel when I achieve these goals?

* What prevents me from achieving these goals today?

* What are the times and dates I want to achieve these?

goals?

* What resources do I need to achieve these goals?

* What is my plan B, or side route, to achieve these

goals?

2. Believe in greatness

Once you’ve created your goals, take the time to visualize

His achievements. World-class athletes envision the

victory before it happens. Take it 15 to 30 minutes just before.

do you go to bed or wake up in the morning and do the

following:

* Find a quiet place.

* Calm your mind, slowing down your breathing.

* Visualize that you are already achieving whatever goal you want

I want to achieve. How does it look? As it does

feel?

World-class athletes prepare yesterday, today,

and tomorrow for success through intense training and

sacrifice. What are you doing to prepare for your

success? Do a self-analysis to see how prepared you are

are today in relation to their objectives and what resources

and skills you need to acquire to achieve your goals. What

sacrifices you are willing to make in order to achieve

your goals? If it’s a promotion, find out what skills,

education, and resources are required to obtain that position.

If it’s a six-figure income, what sacrifices are you willing to make?

do to realize? Less television, more education?

I always say, “If you want something strong enough, act like

you’ve got it. ”That’s what champions do.

they already believe they will win a championship, a title, a

gold medal. They have a positive and hopeful attitude

and set the bar for others to try to vacuum.

I love tennis. One of my favorite tennis players is Roger.

Federer, the number one player in the world. When looking

he plays, I can see that he owns the court. In its tranquility, but

confidently, he tells his opponent, “I am # 1, I am

the best! “Then he goes out and wins. With his positive

attitude, expect to win every time.

How can this principle be applied? Well an example is if

you are a manager and you want to be promoted to vice

president, act like a vice president today. That means

dress like a vice president, make decisions like a vice president

president, leading people like a vice president, etc. Also

what it means is delegating certain tasks so that you can

learn the skills required of a vice president (read Delegate for

Accelerate Success). Do you hope to be successful in any

project you are involved with?

3. Create a group of masterminds

There is a saying, “A wise person learns from his own

mistakes, a wiser person learns from other people

mistakes. “That is what a group of experts will do for you.

Winning athletes have an intellectual group to

they make fewer mistakes and take less time to achieve their goals.

A group of masterminds is a variety of people dedicated to

give you the best advice, comments, training, etc., so that

you can achieve your goals faster. The group of the mastermind too

it gives you encouragement when you need it. In sports, this

It can be a coach, a coach, a physical trainer, a manager and

agent. In your situation at work, it could be the following:

* A mentor who has intensive corporate knowledge and can

maneuvering around “corporate land mines”

* A human resources specialist with in-depth knowledge of

skills needed for a promotion

* A manager who wants to show his skills to impress

your manager

* If you are thinking about or have already started a business,

it could be the following:

* Lawyer (s)

* Accountant

* Expert fee

* Business partner in non-competitive field

* Retired executive

* Association leaders

* Customers

Note: Be very careful about who you allow into your

group of masterminds. Ask yourself: “Who can help me achieve

my goals through skills, knowledge and honest feedback? ”

Honest feedback is the key. You don’t want people to say “yes”

Around you; Do you want people to test you positive?

feedback that will put you back on track to success.

4. Accept the challenges

World-class athletes accept all challenges as a way to

to go to the next level. They have a “bring it up”

attitude and you can see it in their eyes. They realize that the

the focus is on them and they enjoy it. They are bold in their

actions and are not afraid of making mistakes. If they make a

they are wrong or have a defeat, they “own” them. What i mean by

“admit your mistakes” is that they say, “I did the

mistakes today “, or” I didn’t play to my full potential today. ”

By appropriating their mistakes, they appropriate

for their actions. By taking ownership of your shares,

take responsibility for improving your performance. They take

time to learn from any setback.

What challenges await you at work? How can you

improve your community by taking a leadership role? What

Are challenges waiting for you at home? Face them, hug them

learn from them and grow with them.

5. Never give up!

H. Ross Perot, the billionaire businessman and pass

The presidential candidate said the following:

“Most people give up just when they are about to achieve

success, they give up in the last minute of the game, one

foot of a winning touchdown. “

How many times have we seen people overcome

insurmountable odds to succeed? In sports, 2003-04

Detroit Pistons won the NBA championship against the

mighty Los Angeles Lakers. The underdog Villanova

The college basketball team won the NCAA College

Basketball Championship against the mighty Georgetown

College.

There is the story of Gaston Gaudio. Many of you may be

asking, “Who is Gaston Gaudio?” Well he’s 25 years old

tennis player from Argentina who turned professional in 1996. During

this time he had, at best, what would be called mediocre

Technology

Everything you need to know about the WhatsApp messaging app

Instant messaging, often abbreviated simply as “IM” or “IMing,” is the exchange of text messages through a software application in real time. Instant messaging differs from ordinary email in the immediacy of the exchange of messages and it also makes a continuous exchange simpler than sending an email back and forth. Most of the exchanges are text-only, although popular services such as AOL, MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Apple’s Messenger and iChat now allow voice messaging, file sharing, and even video chat when both users have cameras. Some instant messaging applications may use push technology to provide real-time text, which transmits messages character by character, as they are composed. More advanced instant messaging can add file transfer, clickable hyperlinks, voice over IP, or video chat.

WhatsApp messaging application is the instant messaging application widely used to send individual and group messages to your contacts; it has simplified people’s lives, especially those who are always on the go. It is a cross-platform mobile messaging application that allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. In addition to basic messaging, users can create groups, send each other unlimited images, videos, and audio multimedia messages.

The WhatsApp application development process is designed to operate on all mobile platforms such as Android, iOS, and Windows. Like what is the application to streamline and automate the communication flow process within the organization.

A large number of companies have gone to great lengths to help their people adopt an application like this and use it as part of their daily routine. The application can bring a great deal of automation between departments and within departments by allowing the sharing of files, images, etc. and make the decision-making process faster than ever with greater management control and informed decisions. There is a growing demand to address the ever-increasing and highly dynamic needs and requirements of customers, therefore in such a case having an app like this can help achieve desired business goals and outcomes by streamlining the communication process.

The success of these chat apps is highly dependent on the UI / UX design of the app, as it needs a higher level of user engagement dimension for it to be accepted as part of a culture and also because most people who might use chat applications are young.

Business

Break-even point for the US domestic auto industry.

In April 2009, Ford declared that it would not need help from the government and stated that it had a plan to break even in two years. Ford has been ahead of its main rival General Motors in downsizing its business selling Aston Martin, Land Rover and Jaguar for the past two years. Meanwhile, GM went through a massive reorganization after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. GM is temporarily majority owned by the US government after it invested $ 57.6 billion in the company.

Under the plan GM executives presented at congressional hearings, the company would break even in 2011. Additionally, they declared they would cut costs by cutting 47,000 jobs, closing five more unprofitable factories, and cutting at least $ 18 billion. dollars in debt from your business. balance sheet. These cost cuts were expected to allow the company to break even when the US auto market returned to between 11.5 and 12 million vehicles sold per year.

JD Power and Associates, a global marketing information services company, announced its projections for the new break-even point for the auto industry. According to Gary Dilts, senior vice president of US automotive at JD Power and Associates, due to cost reduction measures, such as renegotiation of union and supplier contracts, the breakeven point for the domestic auto industry will decrease by more than 2 million units. comparing current industry conditions with those forecast in 2010. Dilts explains the reason for this decline due to significant declines in the automotive industry that resulted in a loss of sales volume of more than 7 million units between 2000 and 2009 This sales volume makes $ 175 billion in net income.

In the automotive industry, fixed costs make up a larger part of total costs. Manufacturing plants, assembly lines, and technology invested to build vehicles are some of the elements that make up fixed costs. Compared to fixed costs, variable costs form a relatively smaller part of total costs. This puts the auto industry at risk due to high operating leverage.

The definition of operating leverage is the ratio of fixed costs to total costs. The higher a company’s fixed costs, the greater its operating leverage. In companies that have high operating leverage, small percentage changes in sales volumes result in large percentage changes in earnings. This variability or sensitivity of profits to changes in sales volume places the company in a risk position. According to the rule “Higher risk, higher return”, this also means more profit if demand and therefore sales volume is high.

In the automotive industry, since fixed costs are relatively high, during times of recession, as demand and sales volume decrease, the probability of earnings to cover fixed costs will decrease, that is, it will be more difficult for automotive companies to break even. Therefore, auto companies begin to cut costs, especially fixed costs, such as closing unprofitable facilities, eliminating jobs. For example, GM sold its unprofitable Hummer to a Chinese company.

Auto companies should increase the volume of profitable vehicles and effective advertising activities to be able to sell them to customers. Increased sales volume will help cover high fixed costs and break even. On August 6, 2009, Edward Whitacre Jr., the new president of General Motors, stated that GM needs to improve the number of vehicles sold. To do that, he said, the board may decide to advance the launch of several new vehicles.

Comparing the Consolidated Results of Operations of Ford and General Motor from Form 10-K, these two companies filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2008:

Ford (millions)

Revenues: 146,277

Cost and Expenses: 160,949

Net Profit / Loss: (14,672)

Sales volume: 5,532

General Motors (millions)

Revenues: 148,979

Costs and Expenses: 179,839

Net profit / loss: (30,860)

Sales volume: 8,144

Break-even points for these companies can be calculated using the above Revenue, Costs and Volume figures.

Ford

Average price: 146,277 / 5,532 = $ 26,441

GM

Average price: 148,979 / 8,144 = $ 18,293

To cover its Costs and Expenses, Ford had to sell: 160,949 / 26,441 = 6.08 million cars and trucks. To cover its Costs and Expenses General Motors had to sell: 179,839 / 18,293 = 9.83 million cars and trucks. The additional sales volume that GM and Ford had to make to break even in 2008.

Ford: 6.08 – 5.532 = 0.554 million

GM: 9.83 – 8,144 = 1,686 million

Kitchen Countertop Comparison: Traditional Products vs. Stone Cladding

There is a new option available to countertop buyers. It is a stone product manufactured to be installed on existing laminate or tile countertops. The question is; How does it compare in value and performance to traditional countertop offerings?

What exactly?

The “granite” overlay product is an artificial mixture of granite, quartz and other stone particles mixed with resins to form a ¼ “thick slab. It is not granite in its natural state. It is essentially the same as granite products. Traditional quartz, like Silestone, Caesarstone, and Cambria except it’s not that thick.

Does thickness matter?

It certainly does when it comes to the appearance of the finished product. Traditional stone products are 1-1 / 2 “thick. Since most people opt for a bottom mount sink, the thickness of the material is very apparent. Reviews of ¼” siding products have indicated that thin material looks cheap. Other quartz tile products are offered ¼ “thick slabs, but are only recommended for tile or vertical surfaces.

How do these products compare for design versatility?

The most versatile product by far is Solid Surface (ie Corian, LG HiMacs, etc.). Solid Surface is a mix of acrylic and polyester. It can be molded into organic shapes (thermoformed) and polished to a variety of gloss levels. Edge profiles are limited only by your imagination. It is also the only product that offers “built in” sinks by removing the silicone around the sink making them more hygienic and easy to clean.

Traditional stone products like granite and quartz also offer an amazing range of colors, edge options, and even a few different surface finishes. The most common finish is glossy; however, “leather” (matte) finishes are becoming more popular. Some stone countertop manufacturers may also apply a variety of other finishes to the surface of the stone.

The stone cladding product offers fewer color and texture options. Edge options are also limited due to the thickness of the material. These products are only available with a glossy finish type.

What about the cost of removing old countertops?

Removing old countertops is generally a quick and painless process. A reputable countertop company will clean up any mess created by a move. Typically, removals take about 30 minutes for laminate and about 2 hours for tile. The cost of the move varies depending on the type of countertops you have. Some companies can even remove your old countertops for free.

How do they compare in cost?

This will vary depending on many factors. In general, stone cladding products are comparable in price to common granite, quartz, and solid surface products. Exotic granites and quartz and solid surface “designer” colors will be more expensive.

And the durability?

Thickness also plays an important role in durability. Since stone cladding products are relatively new, it is too early to say how well they will hold up over time. Some buyers have indicated on the HGTV forums that the product has not held up well over time. Other overlay products have been available in the past; none of them still exist today. Traditional products like granite, quartz, and solid surface have been proven to really last a lifetime.

RAV4 Drivers Club Guide to Toyota RAV4 Run-Flat (BSR) Tire System

This guide is written to hopefully explain the BSR Run Flat system installed on the Toyota Rav4 T180 and SR180.

Many owners have bought their cars without knowledge of this BSR system so here I will try to explain what it is and the options to replace it.

What is the BSR system?

It is a Run Flat system that is different from other types in which the sidewall of the tires used is heavily reinforced, so if a puncture or deflation occurs, the car effectively rides on the sidewall

BSR (Bridgestone Safety Ring) is a system that uses a ring that is placed inside the tire around the rim. This is what the car drives in the event of deflation. The tires are effectively a normal tire. This is a development of a WWII military vehicle.

There is also a lubricant inside the tire that lubricates the tire and the BSR ring in the event of a flat tire. Without this, the friction generated would destroy both elements.

The system is backed by a TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) that illuminates a warning light on the dash if a deflation occurs …

The advantages of this system …

It means no need to carry a spare tire … And … Well, that’s it really …

The least …

The tires have to be removed by a special and very expensive machine that only Toyota dealers and some independent tire dealers have.

Only one type of Bridgestone tire can be used with the BSR system. No other make or model of tire can be used.

This makes expensive replacements become time for new tires and can be very inconvenient in the event of a puncture.

Homeowners report very high replacement or repair costs!

The options …

Well, homeowners can just live with what they have and bear what is considered huge replacement or repair costs.

Gold

Remove the existing tires and the BSR system completely. You can have an equipped dealer remove your tires as described above. It costs around £ 45 per wheel OR just cut the tires and remove the inner circlips with the help of an angle grinder.

The TPMS system can be retained or removed and changed to prevent the light from flashing on the dash.

Once the tires and rings have been removed, any tire dealer can install regular tires on a regular tire machine and any brand can be used.

Insurance implications …

You should notify your insurance company if you remove the BSR system and fit normal tires.

No additional premium is likely to exist as the car will be like the latest SR Rav4 spec. That is, no BSR system and a tire repair kit in the trunk.

It is possible to remove the tires and the BSR ring and then put them back on, but this will invalidate your insurance because the tires have a symbol on the tire wall designating them as Run flats. Which of course, without the BSR rings inside, they are not! This could mean that a Driver who does not realize this could be in trouble if deflation occurs and continues to drive …

Driving quality

Wheels with the extra weight of the BSR system and lubricating gel are huge compared to a wheel fitted with a normal tire.

The suspension has two elements to deal with:

The suspended weight. This is the weight of the vehicle, its occupants, cargo, etc.

The unsprung weight. This is the weight of the wheels, tires, brakes, etc.

Relieving suspension from unsprung weight allows you to get on with the task of controlling suspended weight. This adds up to a much smoother ride without the bumps and bumps that the increased weight of BSR-equipped wheels produces. Remember that the walls of the tires are not reinforced.

Ride quality is MASSIVELY IMPROVED when the BSR is removed!

To consider …

If a BSR-equipped RAV is traded in to a Toyota dealer, one of the first questions that will be asked will be: do you still have the floors up and running? Because if not, the car has been radically modified and cannot be sold under the Toyota approved car scheme.

Other dealers may or may not ask depending on whether they know about the system in the first place …

I hope this helps

Stickers from The World of Anime – A Glance

In today’s fast-paced world, anime or emoji stickers have made their mark by making it possible to send messages quickly and with much more fun. With a wide variety of these electronic stickers, a point has been reached where there is no need to send text messages. Using anime stickers while posting stories on Instagram and Facebook is trending these days. Anime stickers are like social media superstars. We can’t even think of texting without an emoji. Well, for some, emoji are a very important, very essential ‘whatchamacallit’ thing. We can also say that we are living an “EMOJICAN ERA”.

We use emoji to express emotions to our text. For example, if someone sends us a text message “Are you okay?” we prefer to use a “heart or thumbs up” emoji instead of sending a text message. Emoji are of various types. Emoticons are the most popular. After that comes the heart emoji. There are even food emojis! Manga cartoons also inspired the designers of anime stickers. Today, emoji-themed games and puzzles are very popular with kids and teens.

The word emoji means “picture character.” It was Shigetaka Kurita who came up with the idea for emojis. He worked for the DoCoMo company. He was inspired by weather forecast symbols, manga cartoons, and Chinese characters. DoCoMo already had a heart tab designed for their pagers. Then the next step was to create emoji. Kurita designed around 180 emojis at first based on her observations of people’s expressions. When they saw that, they finally decided to outsource the creation of emojis to bigger companies like Panasonic, but then decided that they would design it themselves.

What are stickers?

The large-scale printing of stickers is mainly seen and the fashionable ones are those of anime characters. Icons are commonly used during chats or instant messaging services. People prefer to send anime stickers because they feel that it conveys a lot of emotions and the right message when they are not sitting face to face. Most of the stickers are available in groups or sets that can be downloaded and used for free. There are some premium packs where they charge a few dollars. These are called premium because they belong to specific brands, items, or even limited editions.

There are also vinyl anime stickers that can be purchased to decorate your everyday possessions and surroundings such as walls, bumpers, cars, doors, motorcycles, toys, desks, and much more. Each of us has our emotions or messages to convey and this can be conveyed to the outside world through these anime stickers.

Suitable for young children from 18 months of age, this trike has a maximum speed of 2.5 km / h, as well as reverse gear. Another option for 18 month old riders is the Runner Quad available in pink or blue. Powered by a 6V battery, the Quad has a single forward and reverse speed.

A slightly larger 6V battery riding trike suitable for ages 3 and up is the Patrol trike available in Police Patrol or Princess Patrol models. The Patrol trike comes with a unique 3km / h forward speed and reverse gear.

The All Aboard 6V Train and Track Set is a completely different kind of battery operated toy. With the 22 pieces of the track, a track can be laid, and the little train rattles along it. Complete with engine sounds and a horn, little engineers will also be delighted to know that an attached cart has enough room for all of their favorite stuffed toys.

Who has not wanted to drive a Ferrari F430, or perhaps an Alfa Romeo 8C? These luxury cars, along with the 6V Mini Coopers, Porsche Cayennes and BMW 335i, are available in the wide range of battery-operated miniature toys. Suitable for children ages 3 and up, these cars have a single forward and reverse speed too so even small drivers can parallel park.

12V or higher battery-powered vehicles are generally suitable for children slightly older than 5 years and up, and are also best on rough terrain. This category includes the large number of battery-powered tractors, jeeps and quads. Vehicles equipped with a 12V rechargeable battery generally have two speeds of approximately 2.2 and 5 mph, plus reverse. However, not all 12V battery powered models are tough and wobbly, this category also includes the smart looking Vespa trike. The Vespa is a bit more unusual in that it includes a grip throttle like a real Vespa does, rather than the common pedal throttles in most versions.

The wide range of kids’ electric vehicle styles and models available for kids ages 18 months to 10+ ensures that there really is a perfect toy for every child. It is important to remember several safety precautions when playing with these riders. Children should always be supervised while playing in battery-powered vehicles and under no circumstances should they be driven on roads. They are strictly a backyard toy. Using common sense when playing with battery-powered ride-on toys will end days with all sorts of wonderful adventures.
