Interior design and interior design tips

Most interior designers will advise you to decide on an overall theme to use throughout your home. That doesn’t mean every room will be the same, just that the theme will be the same throughout the house. The style chosen should reflect the family unit in character and style.

VARIOUS DESIGNS AND THEMES

The farm theme is a very popular theme because it looks timeless. For most, this would imply a country or cozy feel. For the colors of the walls, you can use light yellow, white or pastel colors. Furniture would be farmhouse style shapes and weathered looking wooden furniture.

Bohemian or rustic is another popular theme. If you like warm colors this would be your style. Items from the Middle East, Africa and Morocco could be involved in this design. The colors for this design would be red, orange, purple, and sand.

Contemporary or minimalist is another popular theme. This style decreases clutter and is a good way to open up spaces. The main color of this theme is white. That would include furniture, so you wouldn’t normally find this theme with families with young children.

Whichever you choose, remember that all of your rooms should possess a strong sense of compatibility.

INTERIOR DESIGN TIPS MADE SIMPLE

Mirrors are a great way to expand an area to make it appear larger. Using a large mirror that is placed directly in front of a natural light source, such as a window or door. This should make the space not only look bigger but also less cluttered. If you’re working with a small area, a little clutter can make the space clutter.

Adding an accent wall will draw attention and highlight a feature or piece of furniture. You can achieve this by painting a focus wall or using wallpaper to create a focus wall. Just remember that you never want your wall art to be longer than the piece of furniture you are featuring.

Build illusion through movement by designing your space so your eye keeps moving from point to point.

Your furniture and other pieces should follow the total area of the room. In other words, don’t dull it or throw it out of symmetry.

Finally, home decoration and design is often a very delicate matter, as many people feel that they understand the process, but the result says something totally different.

Using items you may already have, such as candles and figurines, could easily be rearranged for dramatic results and improved lighting. Always make sure you have lighting in places that are normally obstructed.

If you are looking for alternative ideas, think of gothic, traditional, Mediterranean, tropical, Asian and of course contemporary interior designs.

Life Proposals Once Presented – “Boulwarism” A Disdainful Example

“Well, Dr. Caldwell, what do you think is wrong?”
“I’m not sure… I may need to do more research on the issue at hand.”
“Doc, can you tell me what the nature of the problem is…?”
“I dont know.”
“But doctor, what do you know?”
“All I know is… I don’t know. Do you know how many people are willing to admit they don’t know something?”
“No doctor, how many?”
“I dont know.”

Let’s face it… Contracts, Agreements, Business Agreements, Marketing and Administration are an intricate and underappreciated entity in our daily transactions and lifetime businesses. Bureaucracy tends to burn every one of the more than two thousand nerve endings that run through our bodies when we are tied up in endless paperwork that requires signature after signature. The daily routine of contracts and the business that goes with them are not recognized as legal and binding in many circumstances that require our full attention. We forget or simply overlook the importance of it.

Contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation truly govern our very existence. Boulwarism is one of those entities in the mix of tormenting but practical responsibilities.

The title is named after a ‘Lemuel R. Boulware’, unrelated to this author, of course. He was the ‘Vice President of General Electric back in the sixties. Mr. Boulware created the so-called “Good Faith Contract” for agreements between unions and management. The contract demands of management and Lemuel Boulware insisted on active participation in deliberation with the intention of finding a basis for agreement, a sincere effort to reach common ground and binding agreements on mutually acceptable terms.

Boulware negotiated a “take it or leave it” negotiation technique for that company in the late 1940s. Using this technique, a company submits a comprehensive contract proposal that it believes has included everything necessary or justified. The implementation of this technique allows a company to present a comprehensive contract proposal that, in its opinion, has included everything necessary or justified in a negotiation.

Such a form of negotiation eliminates, according to the company’s argument, any need for compromise in the employer’s mind. Such a proposal is presented at the outset with the understanding that nothing is held back for further negotiation and employees are notified that it is a final offer. This puts the employer in the untenable position of being unable to negotiate. The NLRB declared an attitude of ‘Boulwarism’ a breach of the duty to negotiate. He pointed out that although the formality of the negotiation is followed, illegal or non-mandatory issues are not insisted on and there is a clear intention to conclude an agreement, there is no serious intention to adjust differences and reach common ground.

Such a proposal is presented at the beginning of a negotiation with the understanding that nothing is being held for further negotiation, and employees are notified that it is a final offer. This form of negotiation removes any need for compromise in the mind of the employer.

Remember the ‘Taft-Hartley Act?’ This particular type of contract and negotiation is detailed in the folds of a new book on the market. Contracts, Business Law, Real Estate, and other business techniques involving PCs, Software, Hardware, and some insider secrets for the newly learned, beginner, high school and college student, and business or technology professional. The book goes into detail about contracts, agreements, technology and business. It is highly recommended for anyone involved in the varied field of everyday transactions.

The only thing I know is how to understand, comprehend and translate the relationship between business and technology as it is presented and you will too with the help of this reference learning and teaching material. It is available online and wherever books, information and data are found. Need to know a thing or two about legal and real estate terminology? This is the book where you can find them… I like to have a copy on hand. It stays on top of my reading and writing desk, within easy reach, for that quick reference and answer when needed. It is also a very good read. Get yours and enjoy.

When a program or a computer isn’t working the way it’s supposed to, we take action to fix it…we want it to be fixed. When a person is sick or not behaving as they should, we call a doctor or a particular professional to fix things again, right? Well, a patch is what IT professionals (and non-professionals) use to make fixes to the program or the computer. They fix things that are wrong with the program or the computer. Many would trust a computer expert to get their PCs up and running. That’s one of the reasons IT staff rely on updates to offset the possibility of failure or malfunction. In the case of the Matrix movie, “Neo” can be described as the patch, the thing, or the program that is sent in to make things right. The Neo program could also be interpreted as the latest program or an update. What would represent the purpose of the All-Seeing, All-Knowing Oracle? Can it be seen as an “All Mighty Being”?

The cloud as we know it; an Internet metaphor based on how the Internet is represented in computer network diagrams; it is a style of computing in which resources are dynamically scalable and often virtualized. SaaS (Service as Software) over the Internet, as I mentioned in previous posts, is the driving force.

New tactics and skill sets are definitely needed to gain a foothold in the new world of IT, communications, and analytics. Sentiment Analysis is measuring the mood of Social Networks and is being incorporated by companies that monitor Community Driven Websites.

Jobs Creation says it makes sense for Microsoft to target cloud providers. Technology providers plan to double their workforce this year. They say mobile and cloud apps are creating millions of jobs in the US.

That disconcerting boast makes me wonder; If that’s the case, why is the national unemployment rate at record highs? The US unemployment numbers read between eight and ten percent. These figures are devastating for the American economic system.

Business intelligence (BI) and virtual, methodical information technology (IT) basically go hand in hand. Students majoring in business i.e. administration, management, marketing, accounting, etc. will find that BI and IT have become one entity. One does not preclude the other.

Which is the title? Oh yeah, it’s called ‘All I Know Is…’

Until next time…

Exercising at Christmas without the gym

Gyms are pretty deserted at Christmas. Everyone is so busy with preparations, parties, and people visiting that it’s hard to adjust to getting there, changing, and following a routine as regularly as you would the rest of the year.

But don’t stop exercising altogether; you’ll find it much harder to get back into the swing of things if you do. Make exercise part of the fun and stay active until it’s time to hit the gym again in January. Maybe you enjoy the alternatives so much that you will never go back!

1. Do less

Just do ten minutes if that’s all you can handle. Ten minutes of anything, walking around the house, climbing stairs, skipping or hopping, anything that suits your fitness level and the equipment you have available at home. You can do it in the morning before taking a shower and it will give you energy for everything you have to do. If you can get in 10 minutes later too, all the better. You’ll maintain your fitness levels and use up some calories that you can probably use this time of year.

2. Take a class at home

Exercise videos are great if you don’t have a lot of time. You don’t have to go to the gym: you have everything you need at home. You can pick them up for next to nothing at charity shops or treat yourself to one or two for Christmas. And it doesn’t matter if you don’t know the moves or don’t have the latest fitness equipment, no one is looking!

3. Clean

No doubt you have to prepare your home for visiting friends and family anyway, so exercise. Put a lot of energy into it! Clear away all that clutter, and then wipe, vacuum, and polish everything to a shine. You’ll be ready for guests, maintaining your fitness levels, and using up some calories at the same time.

4. Active fun

If you have a lot of guests and can’t get your usual dose of exercise, organize some active fun for everyone. They could all go bowling or rollerblading. Or try a game of charades or Twister. If it snows, you can go sledding or have a snowman building contest. At least take them all out for a walk every day regardless of the weather. There will surely be some lights to go see or a local carol service to attend.

5. Dance the night away

Don’t be a wallflower. Take every opportunity to dance at parties (it will also keep you away from the buffet table) or just ask your partner to dance during the holidays. You will have fun, you will get closer and it will be a great exercise. Dancing consumes between 270 and 540 calories per hour depending on the speed.

6. Offer a helping hand

Stay active by volunteering your services in your community. You can help serve lunch at a homeless shelter or nursing home. Or just help your neighbors run errands and shovel snow. You’ll get a warm glow from both the helping out and the exercise, and you’ll feel so much better than after sitting all afternoon watching “White Christmas” reruns.

7. Escape

And if all else fails, next year book a ski vacation for your Christmas vacation instead of staying at home. There’s a whole year to save (and to beat the lines when you tell your family you’re leaving next year!) Skiing is fantastic exercise and you’ll come back fit, invigorated and without those extra pounds so many seem to pack on at Christmas .

make a diet breakfast smoothie without protein powder to lose weight

It’s a simple matter for you to get enough protein in your diet on a daily basis from regular foods. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, women ages 19 to 70 should get 46 grams of protein per day, while a man should consume 56 grams per day. With the average protein powder containing around 20 grams of protein per scoop, you’re getting nearly half of your nutritional needs in a single serving.

A powdered breakfast quickly passes from your stomach into your bloodstream. If you tend to get too much protein in your diet, your body simply gets rid of the excess. It is much better to spread the intake of all your nutritional requirements throughout the day. An adult male who needs just 56 grams of protein per day can get all he needs from the following:

• 1 cup of milk has 8 grams of protein

• A 3-ounce piece of meat has about 21 grams of protein

• 1 cup of dry beans has about 16 grams of protein.

• An 8-ounce container of yogurt has about 11 grams of protein.

Breakfast, like all our other meals, should be balanced and should consist of a protein, a fibrous carbohydrate, and a starchy carbohydrate. The protein is needed to slow the breakdown of starch and the fibrous carbohydrate will keep the metabolism burning steadily and for a longer period of time. This is where our breakfast smoothie recipe becomes a better alternative. This breakfast mix was taught to me by Dr. Cliff Sheats, PhD, a CCN Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist and author of “Lean Bodies for Life” in Dallas, TX.

For a quick breakfast, mix in 1 cup of oatmeal (raw), which meets our requirements for fibrous and starchy carbohydrates because it’s a whole grain that hasn’t been broken down. The second ingredient must be one of the following Proteins: 8oz.yogurt, 10oz. skimmed milk. Then add water and ice cubes and blend for at least 30 seconds. For flavor, you may add your choice of: 1/2 cup berries or Crystal-Light, Tang, Kool-Aid, Nestles Quick Sugar Free, or any other fruit or sugar free syrup.

As you can see for yourself, there are many breakfast smoothie combinations that will keep you from getting bored with your breakfast. I think that’s half the battle when it comes to losing weight. Always remember that real food is all you really need to ever consume. Food is the medicine you give your body to lose weight and stay healthy and strong.

Legal Law

Elder Law Attorneys Can Help Navigate Elder Issues

Senior Lawyers help elderly or disabled clients with legal issues specific to their stage of life. They help navigate complicated health issues, long-term care options, retirement, estate planning, and much more. While a general practice attorney may have some insight into the needs of seniors, an experienced and compassionate senior law attorney is the most trusted choice.

The following are some examples of services that elder law attorneys provide:

Financial planning and asset preservation

No matter the value of your cash or assets, you don’t want to see a penny go to creditors, the government or falsified nursing home bills. Many prefer to be able to choose how assets are distributed after death. A qualified law firm can help you decide on the best asset preservation strategies for your financial situation and long-term goals. Some things you will discuss include:

– Avoid succession expenses
– Minimize income, estate and gift taxes
– Protection against sentences
– Long-term care cost planning

Wills and Trusts

Wills and trusts serve different purposes when it comes to planning your estate. Both can be useful, but you’ll need to understand the pros and cons of each. Key points include:

– A will takes effect after your death, while a trust takes effect at the time of creation.
– A will goes through succession, which means that a court will supervise the process. A trust does not go through probate. Not involving the court allows the terms of the trust to remain private while a will is a public document.
– A trust allows you to designate assets and property to others before your death, which can be useful for planning for illness or saving on taxes.
– A will can name a guardian for minor children and also include provisions for funeral arrangements.

Your attorney can help you determine if one or both documents are appropriate for your situation.

Medical care and long-term care

No one wants to think about the possibility of getting sick or disabled as they age, but it’s wise to plan ahead. If you are unable to make your own medical decisions, you will want to have a plan that spells out your health care wishes. Laws may vary by state, but some basic health-related instruments you may want to discuss with elder attorneys include:

– Health Care Proxy/Power of Attorney: This document designates someone with the legal authority to communicate a person’s medical treatment instructions. This is especially important if there is a possibility that family members may not agree on treatment options in extreme situations.

– Advance Directives: This can be included with a Health Care Proxy or be an entirely separate document. Detail the specific type of attention the customer would like. Some examples are the person’s wishes regarding life support if in a coma or vegetative state and the instructions in the Do Not Resuscitate (DNO) documents.

– Living Wills: This document includes instructions if someone becomes terminally ill or enters a permanent vegetative state and designates when life-sustaining treatments must be stopped. It is different from a health care power of attorney, in that a living asset only takes effect when the person is completely incapacitated.

These are just a few of the many emotional and challenging areas that attorneys for the elderly can guide you through. Having plans in place for your senior year means you can rest easy knowing your wishes will be honored.

Organic food for children and its advantages

Eating healthy and eating well are key pillars of a healthy life; it is essential that we make the right nutritional choices for ourselves and our families. That’s why organic foods have gained such popularity, primarily due to their clean farming and farming practices, which make them safer for consumption than conventionally produced foods.

They ask for a premium in the market. However, the benefits they bring more than make up for the premium price. In light of children’s nutritional requirements, organic foods are better and safer for their overall health and development.

1. Organic is a safer bet:

“Organic” refers to products and ingredients grown minus the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, genetically modified organisms, sewage sludge, or radiation. Animals and livestock that produce meat, eggs, or dairy are not given antibiotics or growth hormones. In short, organic foods are an excellent choice for children, considering their greater susceptibility to the negative effects of chemical and synthetic additives. Switching to organic food reduces the level of pesticide ingestion by children. In addition, eating organic foods significantly reduces intake of chemicals that have been linked to causing certain types of cancer.

two. Reduce your children’s exposure to harmful hormones:

Long-term exposure to chemicals and hormones in food, whether in low or high concentrations, can have harmful effects on children. Non-organic meats are often injected with hormones and endocrine-disrupting chemicals, such as estrogen, to help the animal grow faster. These artificially induced hormones and chemicals can cause early onset of puberty in boys, hampering their natural development. Organic foods are free of artificial or synthetic additives, reducing these risks by a significant margin.

3. Prevents chemical-induced neurological disorders:

Switching from conventional foods to an organic diet has been shown to reduce children’s exposure levels to organophosphates. These are a group of pesticides that include toxic chemicals like chlorpyrifos and malathion. These chemicals are known to have a negative impact on the nervous system and hamper the development of the nervous system in children. Switching to a diet consisting of organic foods results in a drastic drop in organophosphate levels, which supports normal brain and nervous system development.

Four. A conscious choice to make children more aware:

In addition to the obvious health advantages organic foods have on your children’s health, it’s important for children to know where their food comes from. Informing them about the right foods and why organic is right for them creates an awareness in them towards healthier food choices. In addition, organic farming and farming practices are green and environmentally friendly. Instilling green practices in children at an early age encourages their appreciation and acceptance of clean and green practices, thus ensuring that they will opt for organic food when it comes to choosing what foods they would like to eat.

Organic foods are the right choice for your entire family, if you are looking for healthy, safe and chemical-free options on your dining table. While they do cost more than conventionally grown foods, they more than make up for it through safety and nutrition. This factor is particularly vital for children, as they are more susceptible to the negative effects and potential dangers posed by hormones and chemical and synthetic additives. Being organic is safe, healthy, and kid-friendly!

Information on the immune system

The immune system protects the body from potentially harmful substances by recognizing and responding to antigens. Antigens are molecules (usually proteins) on the surface of cells, viruses, fungi, or bacteria. Nonliving substances such as toxins, chemicals, drugs, and foreign particles (such as a splinter) can be antigens. The immune system recognizes and destroys substances that contain these antigens.

The immune system is there to keep you alive and healthy. The system can attack foreign invaders or it can go after cells created within your body that could endanger your life. Sometimes cancer cells are the targets of our immune system. As pathogens attack your body, the immune system initiates a series of immune defenses.

You know when your immune system is working by the symptoms you may have. Fever, swelling, and a runny nose are examples of symptoms during an immune response. Your immune system can respond to a problem in many ways. There would be a response to a knife wound, a separate response to hay fever and pollen, and a specific response to a cold.

progress

In 1994, Dr. Robert H. Keller founded the BIODORON Institute for Advanced Medicine, a state-of-the-art medical clinic specializing in cutting-edge treatments for anti-aging and immune system disorders.

After reviewing the subjects’ lab results for years, Dr. Keller noticed a trend. He kept seeing significantly low levels of uric acid in subjects with immune disorders. He decided to explore this finding, and his initial research concluded that uric acid is the last antioxidant available to the body when all normal antioxidants have been depleted.

Since Dr. Keller has always been a staunch supporter of nutrition, he turned to the literature for the answer to one question: If uric acid is the body’s last defense, what is the first? His research led him to discover a substance called glutathione. Which he makes one of the most amazing immune system supplements.

Innate immunity also comes in the form of a chemical protein, called innate humoral immunity. Examples include: the body’s complement system and substances called interferon and interleukin-1 (which causes fever).

If an antigen overcomes these barriers, it is attacked and destroyed by other parts of the immune system.

ACQUIRED IMMUNITY

Acquired immunity is immunity that develops with exposure to various antigens. Your immune system builds a defense that is specific to that antigen.

PASSIVE IMMUNITY

Passive immunity involves antibodies that are produced in a body that is not your own. Babies have passive immunity because they are born with antibodies that are transferred through the mother’s placenta. These antibodies disappear between 6 and 12 months of age.

Passive immunization involves the injection of antiserum, which contains antibodies made by another person or animal. It provides immediate protection against an antigen, but does not provide long-lasting protection. Gamma globulin (given for hepatitis exposure) and tetanus antitoxin are examples of passive immunization.

BLOOD COMPONENTS

The immune system includes certain types of white blood cells. It also includes chemicals and proteins in the blood, such as antibodies, complement proteins, and interferon. Some of these directly attack foreign substances in the body and others work together to help the cells of the immune system.

Lymphocytes are white blood cells, which include B cells and T cells.

* B cells produce antibodies. Antibodies attach to a specific antigen and make it easier for immune cells to destroy the antigen.
* T cells directly attack antigens and help control the immune response. They also release chemicals, known as interleukins, that control the entire immune response.

As lymphocytes develop, they normally learn to tell the difference between their own body tissues and substances not normally found in your body. Once B cells and T cells are formed, some of those cells will multiply and provide “memory” for the immune system. This allows the immune system to respond more quickly and efficiently the next time you are exposed to the same antigen and, in many cases, will prevent you from getting sick. For example, a person who has had chickenpox or been immunized against chickenpox is immune from getting chickenpox again.

INFLAMMATION

The inflammatory response (inflammation) occurs when tissues are injured by bacteria, trauma, toxins, heat, or any other cause. Damaged tissue releases chemicals including histamine, bradykinin, and serotonin. These chemicals cause blood vessels to leak fluid into the tissues, which causes swelling. This helps isolate the foreign substance from further contact with body tissues.

The chemicals also attract white blood cells called phagocytes that “eat” microorganisms and dead or damaged cells. This process is called phagocytosis. The phagocytes eventually die. Pus forms from a collection of dead tissue, dead bacteria, and dead and live phagocytes.

DISORDERS OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AND ALLERGIES

Immune system disorders occur when the immune response is inappropriate, excessive, or absent. Allergies involve an immune response to a substance that, in most people, the body perceives as harmless.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Clothing Suppliers

Clothes accentuate self-esteem. It not only improves one’s image but raises a person’s confidence level. Even when a person is short on cash or the economy is gloomy, that person will still want to look good. Therefore, the garment industry is such a lucrative industry that it is no wonder that people are still flocking to invest in it.

If you are considering entering this fashion industry, you must first identify your target market. Do you think the female click has more potential or do you feel that parents are more willing to splurge on their children? Intensive research is a must to identify your target market.

Once this is done, more research should be done to find clothing suppliers if you do not have the experience in making clothing. It could be quite a nightmare because there are many factors to consider when choosing reliable clothing suppliers. However, one of the key points to keep in mind is the good bargains. Ask if there are discounts when buying in bulk and also for value-added services such as delivery of purchased items.

It is also sensible to ask clothing suppliers for samples to see the quality of the products. This is of great importance because quality products would retain customers. Customers would feel satisfied that their money is well spent on value clothing and that, in turn, would keep customers coming back again and again. Furthermore, satisfied customers would also spread their happiness by helping to promote through word of mouth.

Another factor to consider is that the supplier must take into account the latest fashion trends to attract the market. Everyone likes to be fashionable, so it is definitely a no-no if you buy clothes that are out of style, even if they are CHEAP! Because no one would want to buy it, so you will lose in the long run.
Since the fashion industry can relate to everyone (except those who have problems with fashion), this field is definitely worth venturing into.

10 Abdominal Exercise Substitutions

Today, you’ll discover the replacement list of approved ab exercises for six pack abs AND 1 exercise you should never do.

Print this exercise substitution list and email it to your friends. Heck, you could even post it in your gym.

HERE WE GO – starting with the 1 exercise you should NEVER do…

Now, yesterday I told you how I saw a trainer put his client through a BACK DESTRUCTION exercise, and this is what it was:

The exercise consisted of weighted stability ball crunches, but there were no normal crunches on the ball that you see people do. No way.

You see, the client not only made a full motion to sit up, but continued, violently, in a full body bending motion that ended with her almost putting her head between her knees.

But doing any type of spinal flexion can be detrimental to your lower back because it will compress your spinal discs.

In fact, Dr. Stuart McGill, the world’s leading expert on low back injuries and abdominal training, said in a recent New York Times article, “…there are no crunches, they place devastating loads on the discs.”

Spinal discs are the same discs that herniate in a low back injury. And movements like sit-ups essentially CRUSH the discs between the bones of the spine, causing excruciating pain and nerve damage.

So STOP doing sit-ups and sit-ups!

Fortunately, you can still get ripped abs and a flat, sexy stomach by using back-friendly ab exercises.

So let’s go over a huge list of ab exercise substitutions:

1) Replace crunches with:

Stability Ball Boards, Climbers, and Knives

2) Replace Crunches (i.e. Twist or Oblique Crunches) with:

Side planks and cross climbers

3) Replace crunches with:

Stability Ball Jackknives, Stability Ball Planks, Stability Ball Pikes, Stability Ball Tosses, and Hanging Knee Raises

Now let’s take a look at how we can make some of these ab exercises for your back even harder on your abs:

1) How to increase the difficulty of the Plank

First of all, before moving from the table, you must master it.

Dr. McGill says that everyone should be able to do a plank for 2 minutes at a time.

Now I’ll be honest, I indulged in this exercise last summer and unsurprisingly it was probably one of the reasons I had back pain.

At one point, I was only able to do a strict plank for 75 seconds, but I’ve been back up for 135 seconds, and now my back pain is gone.

You can also do push-ups as they will help you prepare for push-ups if you are a beginner.

Eventually, you’ll move on to the Stability Ball Plank, which is 30% harder on your abs than regular planks.

2) Harder versions of Side Plank

Advanced versions include Side Plank with Leg Raise and Side Plank with DB Lateral Raise (allowing you to train your shoulders at the same time). Dr. McGill adds that we should be able to do side planks for 90 seconds straight.

3) Climber Substitutions

You can use the Spiderman Climb exercise as a replacement, and it’s great for lower body and hip mobility.

A tougher version of mountain climbers is Cross-Body Mountain Climber, and you can also do mountain climbers with your hands on the ball or with your hands on the ground and your feet on the ball.

One of my favorite advanced versions is “Hands on the Floor, Feet on the Ball Cross-body Mountain Climber” or even “EXTREME X-Body Mountain Climber”.

Stability ball NOTE

If you don’t have a ball, you need to get one. They’re cheap, and I’m not asking you to do dangerous circus tricks on them!

But if you don’t have a ball, you can replace the Stability Ball Plank with the Mountain Climber drill, but it won’t be that hard.

4) How to increase the difficulty of the Stability Ball Jackknife

You will eventually progress to the Stability Ball Pike. And another way to do this exercise is by using TRX straps. That is one of the exercises that TRX improves. Very effective movement. But even with the ball you can intensify your training using this exercise.

5) The Stability Ball Spike

This is another exercise made better by using the TRX, as well as a cool toy I bought called the Power Wheel. The key to the exercise is to lift your hips as high as possible, and again using the Power Wheel or TRX allows you to do it better.

6) Alternatives for Stability Ball Deployment

If you are new to this exercise, you can use a modified Roll-out which is easier.

Also, you can substitute the ball for a sit-up wheel or you can even use the TRX in a similar type of movement. It works because you are fighting the extension of your torso.

Stretch your abs as you come out and contract them to return to the starting position. This move will leave your abs pretty sore if this is a new exercise for you!

7) Additional Advanced Abdominal Exercises

Once you’ve mastered all of these Stability Ball exercises, you can move on to the traditional advanced abdominal exercises of Hanging Knee Ups and Hanging Leg Raises.

However, you should only do these exercises if you can completely REMOVE the urge from the exercise. DO NOT rock your hips or rock from side to side.

8) Push-ups that work your abs

You should also understand that MANY traditional exercises work your abs and slight variations of traditional movements can work your abs very hard.

For example, some of the best push-ups for abs include:

* high push-ups

* T-bends

* Spiderman push-ups

* Reject Spiderman push-ups

Of course, you’ll get all of this in home workouts for ripped abs.

9) Pulling exercises that work your abs

In the past, I have trained a fit woman who had never been asked to do a chin-up by her previous trainers. So I had him do 2-3 sets of 3-5 reps.

He came back for the next session and couldn’t believe how sore his abs were from this exercise. So again, you’re going to get a lot of abdominal work out of the traditional moves. Other than pull-ups, these are my favorite “full-body muscle-pulling ab exercises.”

* DB renegade row

* pull-ups

* Pull-ups/Pullups with kneeups

* Spiderman Suspenders

Use them to make your workouts more efficient.

10) Shoulder/arm exercises

YES, you can use shoulder and arm exercises to work your abs. Every time you do a standing exercise, you’ll need to brace your abs HARD to maintain a rigid core. That works your abs just as hard as planks and side planks.

Also, in the triceps extension exercise, you stretch your abs as you lower the weight and contract your abs as you contract your triceps to return the dumbbells or barbell to the starting position. I’ve had super sore abs just from doing triceps!

So here are my favorite upper body exercises for abs:

* 1 arm press

* 1 arm curl

* DB triceps extension

I hope you enjoyed that huge list of ab workout substitutions!

Just say NO to crunches!

Five things you may not know about Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning is generally considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Since he was drafted in 1998 by the Indianapolis Colts, he has won multiple Most Valuable Player awards, numerous major football games and even a Super Bowl.

He is famous both for his actions on the field and for the many commercials and advertisements he also stars in. His father played professional football in the 1970s and early 1980s, and his brother plays in the NFL now. He’s one of the most popular players in the entire league, but here are five things you might not know about this great Indianapolis Colts quarterback.
