seducing your dance teacher

Introduction

Many men may develop a romantic (or at least sexual) interest in their dance teacher. Then, of course, they have thoughts about seducing her. This is not unusual or surprising. If he spends so much time with a woman and gets so close to her, then of course he will start to think of her this way. Chances are your dance teacher is also very attractive. Most dance instructors are attractive, both physically and personality-wise. Dancing is a good form of exercise (especially if you do it as a job), so chances are your dance teacher has a great body. Most people interested in dancing also have a very good sense of presentation and style, so they probably wear makeup and dress well too. This would just add more to how attractive she is. But what could be even more attractive is his personality. Because dancing exudes a lot of sexuality and is very traditional in regards to gender roles, your dance teacher is likely to have a very engaging and attractive personality. Put all this together and it’s no wonder you’re drawn to her. She is also going to be nice to you, because you are a customer, and this will make you feel like you have a chance. This combination of great attraction and a sense of potential will have you seriously considering seducing your dance teacher.

understanding the situation

So now you are at a place where you want to know how to seduce your dance teacher. Before I talk a little more about this, I want to review the situation. You probably already feel that this is different from other situations where you’ve wanted to pick up a woman. This is probably why you ended up reading this article. So what are the unique problems in choosing your dance teacher?

You are not the only student he has. In your mind, your dance teacher is a unique person. You see her once or twice a week. You are one of many students he sees in a week. Just think of how many other students you could see in a week. Then you’ll realize that you probably won’t ‘explode’ in her head as much as she does in yours. So don’t assume the feelings are likely to be mutual.

You’re not likely to be the first student to try to pick it up. This carries over from the previous point. Your teacher is probably sensitive to this and can tell you if you’re interested. Therefore, it is likely that he will know it before you say anything to him. This means that he has possibly already prepared himself to counter your advances; this is the safe option for her. This will make such a seduction more challenging than others.

There will be implications if you try and fail. I know of two dance teachers who have had to ask their students to change teachers after advances were rejected. However, in both cases it was not the first time that the student had tried. Both women had enough experience to be able to continue. But think what could happen if you try. You have to be prepared for this.

Aren’t there other women in your dance school? You may be too captivated by your teacher to realize that there are other women at your dance school. You probably have a better chance of success if you consider other women in dance school. Also, your dance teacher is probably an excellent source of information and advice. You don’t need an assistant when you have a dance teacher who can use the dance teacher network to find out about every other woman in the class. You’ve probably noticed that teachers talk about students among themselves. Not only that, but they usually like it when students get together. That means you can expect good advice from your teacher about other dance students.

So there are a number of things to consider before trying to seduce your dance teacher. If after thinking about these things you still want to try lifting it, then there are a few things to remember.

If you’re still sure you want to pick up your dance teacher

She is still a woman, so the basis of what she finds attractive is the same for her as it is for any other woman. If you feel like you’re not very good at picking up women in general, then that’s something you can learn more about. It’s not what I’m talking about in this article, so I won’t go into more detail here, apart from suggesting that you consider looking at other articles on this website.

However, there are some issues unique to the situation you are in. Because you are a student you are in a weaker position. Women generally prefer a stronger man. This is probably more for dance teachers. As I said before, the dance is traditional when it comes to the relationship between the sexes. Therefore, a dance teacher is likely to want a more traditional (and strong) man. Therefore, you need to make sure that you look like a strong man. So don’t see your teacher as a person you need to impress. Look at her as a person who is helping you become a better dancer. When you make sure that it is you and she is part of your plan, then you will have the dominant position.

This means that you may need to change the way you approach the dance.

Perform outside of class to improve your dance. Read dance books, attend other dance events and classes, and take steps to improve dance attributes. Maybe he will work on his musicality or fitness. If you think the way she teaches isn’t ideal for you, talk to her about it. Don’t be unreasonable, she has been teaching for a while, but she raises issues so you don’t seem passive and weak. Basically, you are managing your progression in the dance and she is there to help you do it.

Women who want to seduce their dance teacher

This article has focused on men. However, women will sometimes want the same thing. The difference here is that the male dance instructor is probably more open to a sexual encounter with a student. I know women who have had sex with their instructor. However, I also know some dance teachers who have been harassed by their dance students. If you’re trying to build a relationship with a male dance teacher, then realize that he’s probably having sex with a couple of her students. And you will have to make him believe that he would want to leave that for you.

a big no

Don’t think the gifts will work. Freebies make it seem like you’re trying to buy attraction. And attraction just doesn’t work that way. Regardless, you’re not likely to be the only person buying gifts for your teacher.

Why you should start every day with an inspirational quote

Would you like to start your day on a positive note? Consider reading an inspirational quote and treating yourself to some inspiration before starting your busy day. Reduce your stress and increase your happiness by bringing some positivity into your life from the start of the day!

On a daily basis, we are all exposed to negative and fear-based messages. Most of us are heavily influenced by this negativity and the biggest struggle we have is maintaining our commitment, motivation and persistence. We may have a vision that motivates us for a while, but often before we know it, our vision is a dim memory.

How can we stay motivated and on track? Words can be powerful motivators. Inspirational quotes from well-known or relatively unknown writers, thinkers, heroes, and leaders can be the spark that reignites our vision.

Daily inspirational quotes can inspire, inform, motivate, encourage, nurture, entertain, validate, and sometimes challenge us. While some quotes are religious in nature, many are not. The best quotes will make us consider their underlying meaning and how this meaning relates to our own lives and values. In many cases, the quotes will inspire us to action.

Inspirational quotes can introduce a daily dose of positivity into our lives. Our thoughts, both negative and positive, influence our actions. When we dwell on negative thoughts, these thoughts often lead to uncomfortable feelings and emotions. It can be difficult, if not impossible, to stay motivated in the face of negativity and self-criticism.

When you read an inspirational quote that moves you, you start thinking and feeling more positively. When you have a positive attitude, your mind begins to access the resources of the right brain: the creative, intuitive, non-linear part of the mind. When you feel more positive, you can often find that you approach everything with a fresh perspective and can come up with new solutions to problems.

I think one of the greatest values โ€‹โ€‹of daily inspirational quotes is that they offer a single, isolated idea to contemplate. Citation collections are fine, but sometimes overwhelming because they offer too much to consider all at once.

Because the range of quotes is so wide, people have different preferences and resonate with some quotes more than others. Some prefer quotes that focus on a specific theme, such as success, motivation, or inspiration, while others prefer a variety of topics. As you begin to practice reading inspirational quotes daily, it’s a good idea to identify what you’d like the quotes to help you achieve and what types of quotes appeal to you the most. If you’re into dating women, consider subscribing to a Daily Moment of Inspiration from The Friend Yourself Project.

Home Kitchen

5 keys to designing a kitchen resistant to the passage of time

The counters are scratched, the cabinets are rickety, the sink leaks, and the once shiny floors are now shabby at best. This, simply put, is the kitchen’s worst nightmare, and the harsh reality for far too many people! If your kitchen is in need of a makeover, you know how time-consuming, inconvenient and expensive this project can be. However, by making smart choices that stand the test of time, you’ll ensure your space stays pristine for decades to come. To help you design a room that will stand the test of time, let’s take a look at the five hallmarks of all quality kitchens.

1. An undated design

When it comes to your kitchen design, it’s easy to fall into the trap of prioritizing elegance over functionality. But while the triangle island and sleek pull-out dining table may be stylish, how happy will you be when the corners of your island get in your way and the surface is just too small? Or when you spend an extra 15 minutes setting up your table before each group meal? Sooner or later, your frustration will outweigh your satisfaction and you’ll wish you’d opted for a more practical design in the first place. So don’t underestimate the value of a simple, open design with wide aisles and spacious, easily accessible surfaces. It works wonders in all quality kitchens!

2. Fantastic flats

There’s something to be said for shiny hardwood floors, but fast-forward a few years: how will you feel when the shine is gone, they’re covered in watermarks, and the boards creak underfoot? To save yourself a great deal of time, labor, and money in the future, it’s wise to opt for a lower maintenance option like tile or engineered wood. These surfaces are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also have the added benefit of being non-slip and waterproof. Two birds, one shot.

3. Carefully considered cabinets

Your inclination may be to opt for traditional cabinets, equipped with door fronts. However, although this design has dominated the scene for years, many quality modern kitchens are trying something new: more drawers. These full-extension storage wonders not only look beautiful, but are also highly practical, allowing you to take stock of your contents at a glance and maximize space. What could not be loved?

4. Sound sinks

You may not have given your sink much thought, but contrary to popular belief, it’s an essential kitchen feature that’s easy to get wrong. For example, while materials like porcelain may look elegant, they stain and chip easily, resulting in extra cleaning time and maintenance work on your part. As a general rule, your sink should not only look impressive, but it should also be streamlined. Stainless steel strikes an ideal balance between these two criteria, as do matte finishes, cast iron, and undermount sinks.

5. Convenient countertops

For passionate cooks, this decision is a deciding factor and should be carefully considered. Again, you may be tempted to go for a surface material of classic beauty like wood, but by now you’ve probably realized that just thinking about how it will look is a big no-no. From water stains to mold and scratches, you’re setting yourself up for a maintenance nightmare, so consider practical alternatives. Some of the top candidates for quality kitchens are quartz and countertops, known for their versatility and durability. But neolith, a sintered stone from Spain, is without a doubt the cream of the crop, thanks to its water, heat and scratch resistant properties. Oh, and it looks pretty fabulous too!

A remodel can be daunting and expensive, but considering the big picture and
making practical decisions is sure to save you a lot of time, frustration, and money in the long run. By opting for a timeless design, chances are your space will look like new ten years from now โ€“ the defining characteristic of all quality kitchens!

Auto

Aftermarket Auto Parts vs. Used OEM Auto Parts vs. Discounted New Parts

In agreement! The worst has happened to your car and that worn/damaged part needs a replacement. What is the first thing that comes to mind?

I’m sure it would be, “how do I get a replacement part that meets the need at the lowest possible price?” And believe me; most sensible people would think the same way.

Let’s be honest; Nobody likes to spend a lot of money on car repairs and part replacements. In fact, given the choice, no one would want to be in a situation where their car needs a repair or replacement part.

This is basic human nature and we all exhibit it. As far as I’m concerned, I’d rather spend extra money on a fancy car stereo than buy an expensive replacement auto part. On any given day you’d prefer the cheapest possible repair or replacement part that does the job and so will you, unless you’re a celebrity and money sticks to you like a shadow.

So what are the options you can consider if your vehicle needs a replacement part?

In the current market scenario, we have 3 main options, namely:

  • aftermarket parts
  • used OEM parts
  • discounted new parts

Let’s break down the pros and cons of each so we can make a decision.

aftermarket parts for a vehicle can be defined as auto parts manufactured by a manufacturer other than the original manufacturer of the vehicle.

But that’s not necessarily the correct definition, since most vehicle manufacturers don’t make all the parts themselves. They may ask a different company to make a certain auto part for them. In that case, the first definition would not be true.

I think the following example would clarify the concept.

If you are installing an air filter on your ABC automobile and that air filter is not manufactured, is not considered a standard accessory (stock option), and is not recommended by the ABC company, it qualifies as an aftermarket part with respect to the ABC company. In that event, the entire ABC Company warranty for your ABC automobile is void.

That is not the only consequence of installing aftermarket parts on your vehicle. These parts have not been tested for compatibility with all makes and models of automobiles. As a result, an aftermarket part may not work properly in your car and cause unforeseen problems. For example, an aftermarket air filter can damage your car’s engine if it is not compatible with your car model, resulting in poor engine efficiency or perhaps outright engine damage.

Aftermarket parts do not necessarily comply with laws and regulations regarding quality and performance. For example, aftermarket headlights may not meet local regulations in your state or your aftermarket engine may not meet emission standards in your state. It is imperative that you check the correct details and features of an aftermarket part before purchasing it.

Depending on factors like quality and brand, an aftermarket part can cost less, the same or more than a new OEM part.

A good quality aftermarket part made by a company that specializes in a particular domain qualifies as a performance enhancing auto part and typically costs more than a regular new OEM part would. Unless you’re willing to shell out money on car customization, you don’t need to go that route.

One truth about aftermarket parts holds true even today; “Use at your own risk.”

Used OEM Auto Parts for a vehicle are made by the same manufacturer that made the vehicle. The only factor is that these parts are not new. They have been used before, probably on another vehicle of the same make and somehow found their way to a scrap or junkyard.

In this case, one fact to keep in mind before purchasing a used auto part is that used parts for a given ABC car will likely only fit ABC cars of the same model and year by company standards. This is because manufacturers may make minor changes or improvements to auto part designs and specifications each year for any particular model.

Since all OEM auto parts from a particular automaker are of the same quality and have been tested by the manufacturer for optimum performance, you won’t end up making compromises on this front. Remember, this is not the case with aftermarket parts.

Used auto parts could be your best option in terms of affordability and quality, as long as you select the right auto part online and buy only from a reputable seller. The advantage of buying from established sellers is that you get quality-tested original parts at low prices and usually no shipping costs.

The only worrying factor about used auto parts may be their history. The part could be salvaged from a car that was wrecked in an accident or perhaps from a car that was scrapped after serving a lifetime. Then there are also some used auto parts available that were used by the original manufacturer for testing purposes.

Whatever the part’s history, you can get a confirmation from the telemarketer before you buy. Major used auto parts dealers exercise quality control by keeping track of the condition and history of a particular auto part so that the customer knows the exact age and origin of the part they are purchasing.

Also, the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty is not voided if you install a used OEM part in your vehicle.

Used auto parts are the most cost effective of the three options, costing almost a third of the price of new OEM auto parts.

Discounted New Auto Parts you probably don’t need any description. These are brand new auto parts being sold at discount prices. Definitely a great option, but these are not available every day and in every store. In fact, they are available from time to time and at the dealer’s discretion. If you’re lucky, you may be able to find the part you need at a discount, but as is often the case, the parts that are sold at a discount are the ones that are least in demand. So, if you are in desperate need of a new replacement part for your car, you may have to wait until it becomes available at discount prices.

To conclude, you can choose any of these options depending on your need and suitability, but remember that in the case of repairs and part replacements, you should take a step only after weighing the pros and cons of each available option.

Happy motoring!

Do Alt and Title attributes help with SEO?

A much talked about topic in the SEO world is: “Do Alt and Title attributes help with SEO?” Well, to help shed some light on this topic, I did some research and came to some good conclusions. I’m not suggesting that these are 100% accurate, but based on my initial research, they seem to hit the mark. I welcome all other SEO experts to share their thoughts on this topic by posting their comments, because as we all know, every little piece of information can help us all.

Well, to start off, I want to give a brief introduction to each attribute to help you understand its “intended” purpose.

The alt attribute is popularly and incorrectly known as an alt tag and is commonly misunderstood to provide a tooltip for an image. Both are wrong. First of all, the alt attribute is an attribute and not a tag. The alt attribute was always intended to provide alternative information about an element and is generally required for images and imagemaps and is not designed to display tooltips. The alt attribute can be used for the img, area, and input elements to help provide alternative information to users who are unable to display that element in their browser. As an example, this is how you would define an alt attribute for an image: . If the image is not displayed, the text “this is our company logo” will be displayed instead of the image.

The title attribute, on the other hand, is intended to provide additional information about an element, which is displayed as a tooltip in most graphical browsers. The title attribute can be used to describe any HTML element except base, basefont, head, html, meta, param, script, and title.

A great use for the title attribute is to provide descriptive text within an anchor tag so users know where the link will take them if they click on it. When the user hovers the mouse over the link, a small tooltip will be displayed showing the title text you have provided. an example would be

So, as you can see, the alt and title attributes serve different purposes, but how do they affect SEO? This is the real question that we all want to know and understand. Do they help with SEO or are they just ignored by search engines? I tried several different scenarios, all on Google, and after my research I came to the following conclusions.

Alt attributes appear to be picked up by Google whether or not there is a link within that element. Some SEO experts have mentioned that if there is no link, then the alt attribute would not get indexed… based on my research, I found this to be false.

Going further, I realized in a test scenario, if there was an image with an alt attribute and a link to a completely different site, that other site was also indexed by Google searching for the text within the alt attribute. It was hard for me to verify this several times, but I definitely verified it in a test scenario.

I also went a step further and analyzed my results with what Google Images showed. I immediately realized that Google sometimes takes the alt attribute text and provides this text as the image description in Google Images, something that is very valuable to know and understand when doing SEO for your website.

In all of my test scenarios, the title attribute doesn’t seem to be picked up by Google and adding a link to that element doesn’t seem to affect this result at all. If you really think about it, this makes a lot of sense. Since you can put title attributes on almost every element of a website, it would be very easy for a user to affect search engines by stuffing keywords into their web pages, something Google and the other major players don’t want. , so the title attributes don’t help with SEO.

In my opinion, you should use the title attribute to help with your user experience and not SEO. Since tooltips provide more useful information to the user about images, links, fields and much more, it will help your users to understand what is happening on the web page.

So from my tests, I’ve determined that a title attribute is meant to provide tooltips to the user for user experience, while the alt attribute is useful in terms of providing alternative information to the user when their browser can’t. displaying an image or input element and helping to increase the SEO of a website. My recommendation is that you pay close attention to when, where and how you are using your alt attributes. If they help with SEO, then you should pay close attention to what you’re adding.

When adding images, always make sure to add an alt attribute to each image’s code. If you don’t have one, just specify a blank one, like alt=””. Also, make sure you add alt text that is relevant to that image, the content of that page, and make sure you don’t specify an alt attribute longer than 100 characters in length, as this can be perceived as spam.

I hope you find my brief overview on the topic “Do Alt and Title attributes help with SEO?” to be beneficial to you and your business. I’m sure one could go deeper into this topic, spending weeks determining the differences between how Google, Yahoo! and title and alt attributes are handled by the other major search engines when it comes to SEO for a website.

I welcome all feedback and/or comments.

Teaching Children to Read and Spell – Learning Objectives for Teaching the First Six Sounds

When teaching children to read and spell in the early years, the most effective method, as recommended by every government report for the last decade, is a ‘systematic phonics’ approach combined with blended activities to promote phonological awareness.

If parents are teaching their own children to read, write and spell at home, they can choose a ‘starter set of speech sounds’, for example the sounds chosen in the popular synthetic phonics program Jolly Phonics. These sounds are s, a, t, i, p and n, and children are taught to hear speech sounds in words and to recognize these ‘speech sound pictures’ as a way of representing this speech sound. For example, that ‘s’ is a sound image for the speech sound ‘sss’ (there are 8)
Why start with this particular group of speech sounds? This is because the word ‘sat’, for example, can be ‘pronounced’ for reading as well as spelling, allowing children to quickly learn to read, write and spell words using only those letters, for example tan , tin, pan, pat, sit, sat. , in in. With the introduction of a few ‘hard’ words, children can read, write and spell complete sentences in no time, eg I, was, the. Readers can be made so that children actually ‘read’ picture books. Many are available online for free to non-profit organizations such as Fantastic Phonics and SPELD SA.

When parents know what their children need to know before moving on to learn new sound images (letter sounds), the following list can help them, like a “checklist”. By using this checklist, parents can ensure that the child has understood the important concepts and can demonstrate the skills required for early acquisition of reading and spelling, i.e. code knowledge, blending, phoneme segmentation, and manipulation.

When children can decode a word, they can begin to learn its meaning. Fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary come after decoding. If a child cannot figure out the word (ie read the word) she cannot begin to understand it within sentences. If she can’t hear speech sounds, she can’t encode (spell new words) easily. So parents should focus first on teaching children how to decode, and then expand their teaching to include fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. However, as you can see from the list below, this can happen very quickly, and these additional skills (fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension) will be incorporated into instruction alongside phonetics and phonological awareness training.

At the end of the initial speech sound group, the children should be;

* ‘hear’ speech sounds in words – beginning, middle end

* recognize printed sound images and know which speech sound they correspond to.

* form letters correctly (this is possibly less important than the other concepts, before they start school as they can ‘spell’ words and form sentences using magnetic letters etc.)

* match the sounds of speech orally into words, and as they ‘read’ the sound images into words on paper (knowing they do so from left to right)

* ‘read’ words by decoding the sound images from left to right and combining the sounds into words, also exploring what the word means and how we use it in our language.

* ‘spell words by hearing the speech sounds in order – and (next step) knowing how to order/combine them on paper (using letters and also forming the letters themselves – you can use a pencil and also the keyboard with lowercase letters)

* ‘read’ the words (sat, it, at, in, pin, tin, sit, pat, nip, spin, tan, etc.) and then understand the meaning of the word and the sentence if the words are written inside a sentence (and in this case knowing that we read the words from left to right)

* learn some ‘tricky’ words, eg ‘I’ ‘was’ ‘the’ – to recognize as sight words

They will also be able to read sentences, using online decodable readers with these sound sets (also initial sound set in Jolly Phonics).

Whats Next?

If they are ready, they can move on to digraphs, learning that 2 or more sounds can make a new sound (s, h and sh- 3 sounds) You can use bold text to show children where the ‘chunks’ are in words- or ‘Sound Pictures’. So the store would be shown to have 3 sounds and 3 sound images: sh+o+p.

After the first set of speech sound pictures, children can go on to learn that sounds in our spoken language can be represented in a variety of ways (f could be ff as in gruff, ph as in phone, etc.)
And that some sounds on paper can represent more than one sound in our language -ay- like cow or trailer.

Parents should focus heavily on speech sounds at first to develop phonological awareness, rather than print. When we start with what children can do, that is, talk, then it is easier for them to understand how to crack the code. When they are encouraged to listen to speech sounds in words and to know where they are placed, it is easier for children to learn that there are ‘sound pictures’ that are simply pictures of speech sounds. So ‘s’ is simply a paper representation of the sound ‘s’, and so they can be called ‘sound pictures’ to make it easier for children to understand the concept. Even from a young age, children can learn to hear how many sounds are in words, even if they have not been presented with the picture yet. For example, hearing that ‘ship’ has 3 voice sounds and would therefore have 3 voice sound images. Then I would draw 3 lines on paper and kids can figure out which sound image is on which line to build the word.

Teaching your child to read and spell early is one of the best gifts you can give your child. It should be fun and help develop a love of learning and words. The Reading Whisperer is often heard telling parents, “Being able to read and spell even before they start school will give them greater self-confidence, and they can start ‘reading to learn’ much sooner than most. the other children, who are still ‘learning to read'”.

What parent wouldn’t want that for their child?

Calculate your body fat percentage the easy way

Obesity is becoming a widespread problem in Canada and the United States. More than 60% of Americans over the age of 20 are overweight (we’ll review how you can calculate your body fat percentage to determine whether or not you’re overweight below). Unhealthy lifestyle and poor nutrition are the 2 common reasons for excess body fat. However, genetics or the side effects of certain medications can also cause significant weight gain, gradually or abruptly.

The importance of maintaining a healthy weight cannot be stressed enough. It is not a matter of cosmetics or aesthetic preferences, it is of survival, so if you calculate your percentage of body fat and determine that you are overweight, you should immediately start looking for a solution to lose weight. Untreated obesity coupled with a lack of regular exercise can lead to high blood pressure, arrhythmia, diabetes, and other conditions. Many Americans die daily from heart attacks, caused by complications created by obesity. Being fat is not only frustrating, it’s also dangerous.

Fortunately, there are many different ways to lose excess body fat. It’s about setting a goal and patiently pursuing it, not giving up halfway (the first step is calculating your body fat percentage and setting a realistic goal). You can’t lose 25 pounds overnight (unless you have fancy surgery or liposuction), but you can lose it in 1-3 months. Setting possible goals is crucial. Failure to do so could lead to disappointments and feelings of discouragement. You don’t have to starve yourself and follow unreasonable diets, but you will have to make sacrifices to lower your calorie intake.
Walking, working out in a gym or on a treadmill, and jogging are great ways to speed up the “slimming” process. Exercise is good for weight loss as it burns calories, but it’s also great for our overall health. Done regularly, it delays the aging of the organs, allows better oxygenation of the brain and brings pleasure. After physical exercise, the brain produces endorphins (the body’s pain reliever). The effect of endorphins can be compared to that of heroin or opium, they are known to be hormones of pleasure. The workouts allow us to experience natural highs, with all the subsequent benefits.

There is a way to check if you are in your optimal size, without spending a single penny. It’s called BMI (Body Mass Index) which has been a recognized mathematical formula used for centuries and is a good way to calculate body fat percentage. Introduced by the Belgian scientist Adolph Quetelet, the BMI makes it possible to assess whether the weight of a given person is proportional to his height. To calculate BMI, you will need to take your weight in kilograms and divide it by your height in meters squared.

Example:

1) You weigh 170 pounds, which is equivalent to 77.2 kilos.
2) Your height is 5 feet 9 inches, which translates to 1.75 meters.
3) 1.75 squared = 1.7 x 1.75 = 3.06
4) Divide 77.2 by 3.06 which equals 25.2

Let’s see what category that result falls into, within the BMI ranges:

Less than 18.7 = underweight
18.7 – 24.9 = optimal weight
25 – 29 = overweight
30+ = obese

It is important to assess your own condition in order to take decisive steps towards improvement.
Maintaining a healthy body weight costs less, promotes self-esteem and allows a better appreciation of life. Losing weight now and getting the result for life is worth the effort! We live once, so let’s help each other live it to the fullest.

America’s declining education and its impact on society

What does education mean to you? Let us turn our attention to solving one of the nation’s most important problems, education. Education is one of the most important foundations, if not the most important, that should be instilled in today’s children. The fact is that it is the dream of every parent to see their children choose and eventually achieve a higher level of education. Are we being overtaken by other countries, are they fast becoming the world’s leading authority and provider of higher education?

It is clear that we have a need for higher education. We are in an economy that is based on education, we have doctors, lawyers, engineers, scientists and the list goes on. If we can’t hire workers with the training and skills we need, big companies will find it necessary to relocate to those countries where the talent resides. To phrase the position as simply as possible, we must hire the best workforce in the world to remain competitive. We are outsourcing our needs because we don’t have the level of expertise that is required to maintain our own economy.

The need to outsource is only seen as a last resort because we cannot keep up with the rest of the world. Many times we don’t have many options; we need raw materials and advanced technology to compete and that only comes with advanced education.

So how do we maintain our education and not sacrifice our economy? We must first develop self-discipline and give teachers the necessary tools so that they can have a positive impact. We must do more to ensure that teachers have the training to teach the subjects they present with a deeper understanding of the curriculum. The fact is that “America has the lowest high school graduation rate in the world.” If we are to compete in a knowledge-based economy, we must devote more resources to our teachers. Teachers need to reflect a greater focus on science and math to better prepare students and enable them to compete globally.

While other countries are graduating scientists and engineers at an impressive rate, our students are moving away from these fields. We have many students looking for a quick fix. They are not willing to put in the time and effort to really understand the curriculum. I witnessed this firsthand when I was in high school and college. Many students who did their homework the night before did not put any real research or effort into their work. I remember many students who had a great memory and were able to retain enough to get by.

Understanding is the key to success in whatever you do, if we complete our work without deep understanding; we will not be prepared for a “University” based higher education.
Our level of education will play a significant role in whether or not our future will be successful in today’s competitive marketplace. If performance and test scores are declining, who should step in and take charge? Should it be our parents, our schools, our government, or a combination? The debate and dilemma will continue until this growing problem is addressed.

Safe pregnancy for magical mommies

In honor of the Great Mother, and all mothers, I present this to you.

Many herbs common in magical studies and practices are dangerous to use during pregnancy. Mugwort tea, for example, part of any standard divination ritual for many practitioners, will cause miscarriage (even late in pregnancy) and subsequent bleeding. Fortunately, most herbs are safe to handle in small quantities, such as for carrying and placing in charm bags, sprinkling around a ritual circle, or garnishing candles. Essential oils, incense, stains, consumption, and magical baths are of great concern, as they all involve contact with the skin, mucous membranes, and greatly alter individual chemistry.

staining

Perfectly safe when done OUTSIDE, and in small doses! Sitting in a smoke-filled room is unhealthy (carbon monoxide), which is why staining during pregnancy is generally contraindicated. Prolonged spotting without proper ventilation is a recipe for miscarriage. If you are looking to cleanse your aura and prepare for ritual, salty baths are lovely, however you should avoid too many essential oils in your blends.

Essential oils

An oil diffuser is a great way to enjoy the aromatic, therapeutic and magical properties of plants, especially as a healthy alternative to incense for people with health problems or allergies to smoke. For the anal retentive out there, yes, it still corresponds to the Air element. Add a pen if you need more visual aids.

All essential oils are contraindicated during the first trimester (and should be completely avoided in high-risk pregnancies); however, if you miss your favorite scent, floral waters (hydrosols) are widely available and can be used safely, as they are not. almost as concentrated as pure essential oils. After the first trimester, most citrus oils are considered safe, including bergamot, at a dilution rate of 1-50%; Evergreen oils such as cedar (Atlas, Virginia, and Texas cedars included), as well as pungent or irritating oils (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice) should be avoided entirely. The following list is nowhere near complete, and some herbalists are much more conservative than others, and opinion, experience, and science skew the vote one way or the other. Avoid the following, or do more research on dilution rates.

Allspice (Pimenta officinalis)

Anise seed (Pimpinella anisum)

Balsam, Peru (Myroxylon balsamum)

Sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum)

Bay (Pimenta racemosa)

Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis)

Tagetes (Tagetes minuta)

Tangerine (Citrus reticulata)

Tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus)

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis)

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Ylang-Ylang (Cananga odorata)

Wondering what you can wear? Quite a few of the oils listed above are actually safe, but only under the guidance of experienced aromatherapists. For example, many pregnant women don’t have a negative reaction to ylang-ylang, however, if you also have liver damage or suffer from epilepsy and severe migraines, it could cause a problem. This is not something I can help you with over the net, so I tend to err on the cautious side!

The following are considered safe by most aromatherapists, however, ALWAYS dilute your essential oils in a base or carrier oil (jojoba and sweet almond are fine), DO NOT, under any circumstances, take essential oils internally, and in case of If in doubt, ask your herbalist, midwife, or OB/GYN.

Benzoin, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Orange, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Spearmint, Tea Tree, and Vetiver.

Rose, Jasmine, and Clary Sage can be helpful during labor.

Herbs

Stay away from mugwort, wormwood, yarrow, prickly ash, slippery elm, chaste berry, motherwort, parsley, and any of the poisonous herbs, OBVIOUSLY. Some people advise against ginger during pregnancy as it is considered a mild stimulant, but it is the most useful treatment for morning sickness. Simply chop up a bit of a fresh ginger root, cover with near-boiling water, and let sit for about five minutes. Drink slowly; you’ll feel better in a few moments. This really needs to be done with the fresh root, as ginger powder is terribly acidic.

This has been by no means exhaustive! Keep researching, keep learning. If you need more information, don’t hesitate to contact your OB/GYN, as more doctors in the field are educating themselves on the benefits and dangers of alternative medicine.

Visitation rights of stepparents in California

California has made efforts, by law, to recognize the right of stepparents to have visitation rights with their stepchildren. However, several recent court decisions have severely limited the scope of stepparents’ rights and the jurisdiction and discretion of trial courts in considering stepparent visitation requests.

A. Legal Authority for Step-Parent Visitation Rights in California:

1. Family Code, Section 3101 provides that:

(a) A court may grant reasonable “visitation” to a stepparent, if it is determined that visitation by the stepparent is in the best interest of the child;
(b) That if a domestic violence protection order was issued against a stepparent, the court MUST consider whether that negatively affects the application;
c) You CANNOT order step-parent visitation rights that would conflict with a non-party birth parent’s right of custody or visitation.

2. Family Code Section 3176(a) provides that if a stepparent’s request to visit a stepchild is “contested,” the matter may be referred to mediation; Y

3. Family Code Section 3185 states that if mediation does not result in an agreement regarding the stepparent’s request for visitation with a stepchild, the mediator shall inform the court, and the court MUST schedule the matter for a long cause hearing on unresolved issues.

B. Decisions of the Court of Appeals that limit the jurisdiction and discretion of the Court of First Instance in requests for visits from step-parents:

1. The key thing to remember is that California statute ONLY addresses a stepparent’s right to reasonable “visitation” with a stepchild.

2. The California stepparent visitation statute does NOT confer “jurisdiction” on a trial court to grant “custodial” rights to a stepparent or stepmother to a stepchild in an action brought under California Family Law Law . This point was made clear in the case of In re the Marriage of Lewis & Goetz (1988) 203 Cal App 3d 514.

3. Additionally, both the US Supreme Court and the California Court of Appeals have, in recent decisions, severely limited a trial court’s “discretion” in ruling on a stepparent’s request for visitation , where the natural father, the biological father and/or the parents OPPOSE the request. Specifically:

a) In the case of Toxelv. Granville (2000) 530 US 57, the United States Supreme Court, in striking down a Washington statute, held:

(1) That the Due Process Clause of the Constitution grants parents the fundamental right to raise their children and to make decisions about the care, custody, and control of their children;

(2) That, in the absence of a showing of incapacity of a child’s parents, there is a presumption that fit parents are acting in the best interest of their children and, where a parent’s decision is judicially challenged, the court of first instance MUST dictate the father’s decision. “special weight”; Y

(3) That as long as a parent adequately cares for their children, the Due Process Clause does not allow a state to infringe on the fundamental rights of parents to make child-rearing decisions simply because a state judge believes that they could be made a “better decision”. be done” than decision of parent made;

(b) In the recent California Court of Appeals case of In re the Marriage of W (2003) 114 Cal App 4th 68, the Court:

(1) Approvingly cited the case Toxel v. Granville decision; Y

(2) ruled that the trial court, which granted a stepfather continued visitation with his stepson, despite the objection of the child’s biological parents, UNCONSTITUTIONALLY applied Family Code Section 3101 in that case, since the stepfather The record did not reveal that the trial court gave “special weight” to the parents’ objections, and the objecting parents were not shown to be unfit parents.

(a) the stepfather had been with the child’s biological mother since the stepson was very young;

(b) the stepfather, after the biological mother’s divorce, had been exercising regular visits with the stepson, who referred to him as “Dad”;

(c) the trial court had referred the case to a Child Custody Evaluator who advised that it was in the “best interest and well-being” of the stepson to continue having visits with the stepfather.
