Angels should never be worshipped, prayed to, or called upon for spiritual guidance. Only God should be worshiped and praised. When we pray, we should always direct our prayers to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we need guidance in our lives we must invoke the Holy Spirit to guide us to all truth and justice.

The holy angels always lead worship and praise to God. An example of this is in the Book of Revelation when the angel gave John a vision. Revelation 19: 9-10 says: “And the angel said to me: Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage of the Lamb. And he added: These are true words that proceed from God.” So I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said: No, do not worship me. I am a servant of God, like you and your brothers and sisters who bear witness to their faith in Jesus. Worship only God. Because the essence of prophecy is to give a clear testimony of Jesus.

Psalm 103:20-21 says, “Praise the Lord, angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening to his every command. Yes, praise the Lord, you armies of angels who serve him and do his will.”

It tells us that the mighty angels in heaven carry out God’s plan by listening to his commands, which is his Word. Jesus showed us the perfect example of how we should use the Word of God to fight against Satan, demonic voices and attacks. It is only through the Word of God that we can win the war. In Genesis 28:11-22 we read about Jacob’s dream. Jacob left Beersheba and was traveling toward Haran when in the evening he came to a good camping place and stopped there for the night. Jacob found a stone to rest his head on and lay down to sleep. While he slept, he dreamed of a ladder reaching from earth to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the ladder. During this dream, God confirmed his promises to Jacob. Then Jacob awoke from his dream and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I didn’t even know it!” But he too was afraid and said, “What an amazing place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gate of heaven!”

Jacob’s dream was a vision and understanding of what happens in the spirit realm. God allowed Jacob to see the angels going up and down the ladder that led from heaven to earth. God confirmed to Jacob his word and his promises that he had made to his grandfather Abraham and to his father Isaac. All these promises were being fulfilled and the angels went between heaven and earth fulfilling the promises of God.

If I had to pick one question my prospective clients ask most often, it would be this: “Which certification is right for me?” There are several that can give your company the competitive advantage you are looking for. Let’s review the facts so you can make an informed decision.

Although the 8(a) Business Development Program is a fabulous program; It is not for everyone because not everyone can participate. You may already know the criteria, but here’s a refresher. Acceptance into the 8(a) Program is limited to businesses considered small by SBA size standards. In addition, owners of 51% or more must demonstrate economic disadvantage AND social disadvantage. If you are a business owner who is not from one of the socially disadvantaged ethnic groups, it will be difficult to prove your social disadvantage with what the SBA calls a “preponderance of the evidence.”

In defense of traditional books

In the midst of the digital age, I would like to step forward and defend the traditional book. Don’t get me wrong, I love the latest in book technology, but nothing beats a book in its purest form. Here are some reasons why.

1. The feeling

There’s something special about holding an entire book in your hands and feeling the pages as you turn. There is a connection to the material that doesn’t seem to occur when you read on a mobile device. As books age, they also take on a book-like smell that is quite comforting. The entire reading process becomes an immersive experience.

2. They are better for your health

We’ve all heard it so many times before. The creepy glare from our electronic devices is slowly killing us. Sure, that’s probably a bit extreme. I mean, pretty much everything is “killing” us these days, but it really takes a toll on your health. Especially if you’re reading at bedtime with all the other lights off. Your body responds to the light from your electronic reading device and it can drastically affect your ability to fall asleep and also how you sleep at night. In fact, the best recommendation for bedtime is to read a traditional book until you drop. If you’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, simply take a week to read a physical book instead of looking at an electronic device thirty minutes before falling asleep. This could be just me, but I guess it’s not. If I try to read on a mobile device, it takes forever to get into the zone. I’ll be distracted by every little thing, whether it’s email, Facebook, or any other app that’s just a click away. A physical book allows me to put all that aside and really immerse myself in the world that the author has prepared for me. Number 2 on this list also plays a role here.

5. Homesickness

A lot of the books I own have a story behind how I got them, whether it was a gift from a friend or family member, or it’s a special edition, or it’s a signed copy. Nostalgia is pretty lost with e-books and I’ll take nostalgia any day.

It’s a relatively simple exercise (do it but it hurts), all you do is lie on your stomach on a mat resting on your forearms, palms flat on the floor. Push off the floor, coming up on your toes and supporting yourself on your elbows. Keep your back flat, in a straight line from head to heels. Tilt your pelvis and contract your abs to keep your rear end from sticking up into the air or sinking in the middle.

If you haven’t done a plank before, try holding for 30-60 seconds, lower to your knees, rest for a minute, and repeat 2-3 times.

3 bike or cycling crunches

This exercise is a great abdominal exercise for working the obliques (the side of the abs) and the rectus abdominis (the long, flat muscles along the front sides of the abdomen – 6-pack portion).

Fully extend one leg while the other is bent and touch the bent leg with the opposite elbow as if doing a twisting crunch. Then repeat for the other side without resting (as if you were riding a bike) or dropping your torso down so that the entire time you do so, your upper body is in an abdominal position. It’s hard. Use as large a range of motion as possible until you get tired, then you can make the motion smaller.

4 fitness ball crunches

Fitness ball crunches should take pressure off your back and target your abs so well that the other muscles that usually come into play during crunches are left alone. Traditional sit-ups from the ground can cause back and neck discomfort and I never do them with my clients.

Lie down on the ball, placing it under your lower back. Cross your arms over your chest or place them behind your head. Contract your abs to lift your torso off the ball, pulling the bottom of your rib cage toward your hips. The idea is to roll the ball backwards while doing sit-ups so that your butt comes closer to the ground, and then do the opposite in reverse. As you snuggle, don’t let the ball roll. Lower your back down, stretching your abs, and repeat to start with 1-3 sets of 12-16 reps.

5 Hanging knee raise

The final exercise is a hanging knee raise, this is another personal favorite of mine and is a great exercise for targeting the lower abs.

The only problem is that you need a pull-up bar, Smith machine, or Roman chair to perform them properly.

The hanging knee raise should be done slowly while hanging from a bar. Bring your knees up to your waist and then lower them down and repeat. You should never swing your legs in place, but instead control the movement and brace your abs through the full range of motion (ROM). The best way to do this is to keep your mind focused on your lower abs and make sure they are doing the work. If you still can’t support your body weight, try this move lying on your back.

When I was a kid, my parents told me to watch out for the Boogeyman if I misbehaved or went out after dark. This is something that parents used to say to their children to encourage good behavior and discourage them from going outside without permission. This myth began centuries ago in Europe, where the Boogeyman was another name for the devil. Well, this creature used by parents as a scare tactic may not be real, but there are very dangerous monsters that are real and walk among us. Once I almost met one.

On June 26, 1977, he lived in Queens, New York, a few blocks from a nightclub called Elephas. I walked near and past that club the whole time. That night Sal Lupo and Judy Placido met at Elephas. Judy was being picked on by a guy who kept flirting with her. Sal stepped in to help her by posing as her boyfriend. It was after three in the morning, so the two of them decided to go together just in case. They went out and sat in Sal’s car with the windows open because he was raining.

Suddenly, there were loud sounds and glass breaking. Judy and Sal had been shot by the infamous .44 caliber killer. The shots stopped and the perpetrator left. Sal and Judy were injured, but alive. Others were not so lucky. Later identified as David Berkowitz and arrested on August 10, 1977, his attacker killed six people and injured nine others in eight separate attacks. The press dubbed him the ‘Son of Sam’.

In their world they justify murder as the sensible solution to whatever need they have or mission they have to fulfill. That world is their secret identity and they will do anything to protect it. Those who don’t get caught tend to be highly intelligent and capable of controlling themselves to the point of trying to stay under the radar of the police. Their biggest weapon when recaptured is that they tend to kill randomly.

If the police or feds can’t connect the dots when it comes to victims and locations, there’s not much else they can do except hope that a tip from the public brings up some results. Random crimes related to rape, murder and physical assault to steal are not just a problem for the police, they can affect any of us at any time. The best way to avoid these situations is to learn more about the people who are likely to commit the crimes, where they might happen, and what you can do to stay safe.

Because serial killers suffer from ASPD and are adept at hiding their secret identities, we can assume that they can be anyone. If someone new comes into your personal or work life, practice persistence. Wait a long time before responding to any invitation from that person that results in you being alone with them for any amount of time. Serial killers and most rapists are impatient. If you say no to invitations to eat together, go out on a date, or just meet up socially after work, they’ll move on to someone else who’s less wary.

If you live in a town that is not a city and it is located near a main road, you and your loved ones should be very careful. This is no longer the United States of your great-grandparents. Early mornings, late nights, and dinner hours are when murderers and rapists hunting in rural areas tend to strike. Running alone has become too much of a threat for women and men. Go out to social events in groups and set a curfew for yourself and other family members. Don’t fall into a Bundy trap. Serial killer Ted Bundy wore a fake sling and asked women for help getting in or out of his vehicle.
