321 area code to reflect the countdown capital of the world

The 321 area code is the Brevard County, Florida code. He was assigned to the area after a successful petition to commemorate Space Coast’s impact on the county. The 3-2-1 code resembles the countdown launched by the numerous spaceships from Cape Canaveral. Part of the 321 also overlaps the 407 area code in the Orlando area. Currently, this is the only code in North America that is both an overlay of one established area code and the main code of another. Furthermore, this is also the only code currently used with SatCom satellite phone units.

The Florida 321 code has been in service since 1999. It has 230 landlines and 87 wireless prefixes (exchanges) served by 44 operators. Covers 4 counties, 387 zip codes, and 39 cities, including Melbourne, Palm Bay, Cocoa, Titusville, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, and Cape Canaveral. All of these places belong to the Eastern Time Zone (ET).

In December 1998, after the September 1998 “407 Area Code Relief” hearings, the Florida PSC issued this order:

“Customer concerns are also extremely important to our decision. In his testimony, public witness Robert Osband suggested that we implement a split using a new code. He had searched the NANPA database for all available codes and recommended that we implemented the area code “321” to indicate the countdown, appropriate for Brevard County, where the Kennedy Space Center is located and commonly known as “the Space Coast.”

On February 10, 1999, the Florida PSC issued a press release regarding the order that created the 321 code.

As of November 1, 1999, the permissive dialing period begins in non-overlapping areas, so this code completely replaced the 407 code in Brevard County only, allowing residents to keep 7-digit dialing . In the remaining 407 area, code 321 will be an overlay where residents will be required to have 10-digit dialing for all calls, local or long distance. Bravard County callers can use 407 or 321 to reach their group during the Permit Period. It is at this time that the public is informed to use the new code. Brevard County residents will need new stationery and business cards to reflect their new code, but they have 11 months to transition.

On December 1, 1999, mandatory 10-digit dialing begins only in the overlay area. The 321 code began issuing numbers for users in the Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties overlap area. This means that people in the overlay area must use 10-digit dialing, as the number they are trying to reach can be assigned in either code or both. Residents of the Overlay Area will keep their old phone number and will not need to change their stationery and business cards. Only newly issued phone numbers will get numbers in code 321.

The Dream That Will Never Die: Dreamcast Independent Gaming in 2016

I still remember the day I found out that SEGA was discontinuing the Dreamcast. It was early 2001 and the PlayStation magazine I was reading (we used to read magazines back then) was covering the demise of the Dreamcast before quickly moving on to the hits of the PS2. Thanks to those successes and the massive preference for PlayStation over the previous generation SEGA Saturn, Sony had pulled SEGA almost single-handedly out of the console business leaving them to focus on software only from that day forward. Hypertension: Harmony of Darkness is a horror first-person shooter that started as an extension of the Blood franchise, but morphed into its own story as development progressed. If the flashy color scheme and first-person shooter punishment bothers you, then SLaVE might be a game for you. Writing for Toddlers: 10 Basic Rules

I write for young children and I also write articles on marketing and health. By writing in both genres, I can tell you that writing for kids can be much more challenging. When writing for kids, there are guidelines to keep in mind to help your story avoid the editor’s heap of garbage. Here is a list of 10 rules to refer to when writing for young children:

1. This is probably the most important element – make sure your story doesn’t suggest dangerous or inappropriate behavior.

Example: the protagonist (main character) runs away from the house while his parents are still sleeping.

This is a no-no!

2. Make sure your story has age-appropriate words, dialogue, and action.

3. The protagonist should have an age-appropriate problem or dilemma to solve at the beginning of the story, in the first paragraph if possible. Let the action / conflict arise. Then have the protagonist, through thought process and problem-solving skills, figure it out on their own. If an adult is involved, keep participation and assistance to a minimum.

Kids love action and problem solving!

4. The story must have a single point of view (POV). Writing with only one point of view means that if your protagonist can’t see it, hear it, touch it or feel it, it doesn’t exist.

Example: “Mary crossed her eyes behind Joe’s back.” If Joe is the protagonist, this cannot happen because Joe would not be able to see it.

5. Sentence structure: Keep sentences short and, as with all writing, keep adjectives and adverbs to a minimum. And watch your punctuation and grammar.

6. Write your story showing it through action and dialogue rather than telling it.

If you can’t seem to find the right words to show a scene, try using dialogue instead; it is an easy alternative.

7. You also need to write rigorously. This means don’t say something with 10 words if you can with 5. Get rid of unnecessary words.

8. Look at the time frame of the story. Try to keep it within several hours or a day.

9. Along with the protagonist’s solution to the conflict, it must grow in some way as a result.

10. Use a thesaurus and simile book. Finding the right word or simile can make the difference between a good story and a great story.

Using these techniques will help you create effective children’s stories. Another important tool to use in your writing tool belt is joining a children’s writing criticism group. No matter how long you’ve been writing, you can always use another set of eyes. If you are a beginning writer and have not published, you should join a group that has published and unpublished members. Having published and experienced writers in the group will help you hone your craft.

"Market quality" Concept with the domestic market

In today’s article, I would like to share with you a concept that I have presented to some of my students. It’s a pretty simple but powerful concept on how Market Internals can be used:

Let’s take an existing domestic market, say NYSE TICK.

Use NYSE TICK to define the market “quality” zones: Non-Trending, Trending, and Strong Trending.

By doing this we have created 3 different quality zones for this given market, which I will call “Market Quality” (MQ).

For each MQ zone, we can set up different risk exposures / contract numbers or even switch between different trading strategies.

Let’s take a look at an example:

If we use NYSE TICK (this MQ concept can be applied to all other internal aspects of the market, anyway), then the first step is to specify the zones as non-trending, trending, and strongly trending.

In my experience, the limit when a non-trending market changes to a trending market is 300 to 400 for a long position and -300 to -400 for a short position. Then we need to set the limit at which the trend becomes strong trend, which in my experience is around + 1,000 / -1,000.

The definition of these 3 different MQ zones, when using TICK NYSE, looks like this:

LONG:

No trend: 0 to 400

Trend: 400 to 1,000

Strong trend: above 1000

SHORTS:

No trend: 0 to -400

Trend: -400 to -1,000

Strongly trending: below -1,000

Now, when we have defined the different market quality (MQ) zones, we must ask ourselves: What we do with this information? And there are two viable options.

The first is risk management or changing the number of contracts.

Just test the number of contracts (1-3 or 0-2) for each zone and see how your system behaves when using a different number of contracts, according to the MQ zone you are in. In this same way you can work, not only with the number of contracts, but also with your stop-loss. It is clear that each zone represents a different volatility and therefore using different stop loss levels for each MQ zone can bring interesting results.

This is one of the basic applications of the MQ concept (it can be further developed in a more sophisticated way).

The second option is to use MQ zones to change systems, something like this:

Switching systems according to the market quality zone:

No trend: scalping system

trend: trend tracking system

strong trend: mean reversion system

For non-trending market conditions, you will simply use a scalping system that does not need large movements to make a profit. As soon as the market quality changes to a trend market, it will switch to trend-following strategies (for example, a breakout strategy). And, as soon as the market reaches a certain level, when the trend may be coming to an end (when NYSE TICK is above + 1000 / below -1000), you should start looking for some entry strategies against the trend (reversal average). , who are waiting for a correction against the trend after a significant market movement (and you are trying to get some benefit from this correction).

With this approach, you will get a “universal” system that will change its configuration according to the Market Quality. This is just a theoretical example – the practical application is up to you. And it’s a lot of work to go from theory to practice. Let’s go for it!

You can also work on this concept further, develop it in more ways, and find other ways to use it; the example with TICK is just one of the many ways Market Quality can be used. Or you can use a “hybrid” of both approaches: according to the MQ zone, you can change strategy, change your stop loss, or perhaps alter the number of contracts.

What it would do is keep the number of MQ zones low. 2-3 zones are absolutely sufficient; in the case of more zones, there is a risk that you may not have a sufficient number of operations in each sample.

Anyway, now you have a strong and interesting concept, so roll up your sleeves and get to work!

Thinking about last Christmas

It’s almost finished. Shopping, packaging, cooking and all the other activities we do to prepare for Christmas. It’s almost over, except for the memories we have each year.

Looking back, I never realized what a unique family we were and how different we celebrate the holidays.

When babies were little, our family’s Christmases were a riot. We never knew where we were going to find the tree. One year he was in the baby’s playpen and the next year we found him hanging from the lamp, upside down.

We could never have a pretty tree. We couldn’t even hang icicles because Lacie ate them, and Mitch thought the Christmas tree balls were for tossing. But it was our tree and no one seemed to care what it looked like as long as there were many gifts around it.

It was Christmas 1959 (the year before Mitch was born) that Santa came to our house on Christmas morning for the last time. That was the year I woke up everyone in the house at two in the morning to see what Santa had brought. Jo said she would have to come to our house on Christmas Eve from now on so we could all get some sleep. Jo had very good connections with Santa. Because of me, Santa had to make two trips a year!

Our family, like most others, had a family Christmas party every year. And we still do. When I was little, and both groups of my grandparents were still alive, we had two Christmas parties. Now that Life was worth living! One would be at Nanny’s and the other at Mam Maw’s, until she started renting the Ward 4 Parish Barn so we wouldn’t trash her house at Christmas.

Mam Maw was more of a socialite, I guess you could say, than Nanny, and she didn’t want to have to clean up after us. I remember very few Christmases where we had the party at Mam Maw’s house (probably due to my narcolepsy), but Barn Ward 4 worked very well.

Mam Maw and Pap Paw’s house had a completely different atmosphere than Nanny’s. Nanny and Paw Paw lived in the country on a farm and Mam Maw and Pap Paw lived in the city of Sulfur, and we were actually allowed to enter Mam Maw’s house through the front door.

He had a beautiful house, with statues of people and cats around his living room and a shiny and elegant black panther that always adorned his mantle. (I could never understand why she would be a fan of WO’s Boston Panthers.)

One of his most prized possessions was a statue of a Siamese cat that took pride of place by his fireplace. We all thought it was ugly and called it “Mam Maw’s Damn Cat.” After his death, it became a Christmas tradition to pass the Damned Cat. However, when it was Lacie’s turn, we never saw the Damn Cat again, until last year. She broke it or someone did, but she’s with me for a while. I always wanted the panther, but the only thing that happened was that Damn Cat.

Almost every member of the family attended our wonderful Christmas parties, even people we had not seen in years and years. And sometimes people who we didn’t know at all, but who we met for the first time.

Christmas 2010, we had the party at my mother’s house. Everyone has called her Big Mama since she started having grandchildren, except me, of course. (To me, she will always be Jo, and she used to have a Big Daddy, but she died at our Christmas party in 2003 that we had at my brother’s house.)

We all loved Big Daddy very much. He was a rare and special person, something like Keno. (Their names were even the same, Known.) Christmas has never been the same for me since that horrible holiday. There are certain events that not even time can heal … Oh, how I hate death.

Anyway, at the 2010 Christmas party, all the guests in Jo’s “great room” were enjoying my grandson, Cullen, who was then about four months old. Finally, it was Jo’s turn to hug him and Mr. Cliff’s friend, Ann, whom we had just met, asked; “What her name?” Well, Jo looked at the baby and then at Ann, then nervously glanced at everyone else in the room (they only offered teasing glances) before finally saying, “I don’t know!”

As the silence thickened, Jo burst into laughter followed closely by the crowded room. Imagine not knowing the name of your great-grandson! When the laughter began to fade, Jo said, “Well, he doesn’t come very often.” Then the laughter started again.

Miss Ann was determined to get a name for this cute lump. A short time later, my niece, Kalee was holding the baby, walking around showing her beautiful blue eyes and that dimple on her right cheek. As they passed Miss Ann’s chair, they asked her, “What’s your name?” Kalee looked nervously at Cullen and replied, “I don’t know!” Laughter again, no one seemed to know my grandson’s name!

But from now on, we’ll certainly know Cullen’s name, in case anyone asks. Cullen and his older brother Brendan, who was four, spent Christmas Eve with me, so their mother (my daughter … umm … uhh … oh yeah, Carrie) could wrap presents and get ready for Santa. That was in 2010, this is 2014/15 and we will have the party at my new Hackberry House.

In 2011, the party was held on Christmas Eve at Jeffrie’s house. It is amazing that no matter what difficult life paths my family members have chosen, that warm family bond remains. There was time to talk about the “good times” and remember the blessed elders who have left this life. Keno believes that grandparents should never be allowed to die. I also.

My wonderful grandparents, in heaven; please know how much I miss you. And by now, you know how much you’ve always meant to me. I love you, my wonderful grandparents.

Normally, we bring a white elephant gift and play that Christmas game where everyone draws a number and then, in numerical order, each one chooses a gift from under the tree; or steals a gift from someone that he must return to pick up from under the tree.

My sister, Jeffrie, decided that she would host the only Christmas party we would have in 2011. While we were deciding which dish who would bring, I reminded her to include the “White Elephant” information. She said, “We’re not doing the White Elephant thing this year.” “Oh, but we are,” I replied quickly. Miss Jeffrie was unwilling to alter that family tradition!

I can’t imagine why he wanted to skip “The Game”, but he got over it. And we opened our gifts with unbridled greed, trading with whoever was willing and robbing those who weren’t. And then we ate (and ate) until our clothes were too tight and we all felt sleepy.

Oh! I almost forget it! The party ended with a projection of images from our childhood! Jeffrie had taken all the old 8mm films from our childhood, digitized them, and placed them on discs that he handed out to each member of the family.

How wonderful !! What memories, our lives and our times. My heart was touched. The wonderful memories were renewed in high definition and were indelibly replaced in my mental library.

And Lacie? He forgot to bring “That Damn Cat” that year … But he brought it in this year and I have it! Or should I say I had it down to the motions. I’ve had to move three times lately and “That Damn Cat” ended up at my brothers’ house.

History of relationships with real estate agencies

In the beginning, real estate brokers were known as intermediaries and optional. Back then, the usual practice was for a broker to know about a property for sale, but to keep it a secret from other brokers. It was difficult for these intermediaries to charge a fee for their services, so they resorted to tactics that were not always in their seller’s best interest. Option holders, on the other hand, were generally more successful in collecting their fees because they would immobilize the seller’s property in a Purchase option, sell the property to a buyer at a price higher than the option amount, pay the seller the option price, and then pocket the rest.

The first real estate brokerage business was loosely organized and used brokerage methods that were often dishonest, subject to fraud, and took advantage of sellers and buyers. Over time, a newer concept developed in which the real estate broker is an agent and has a fiduciary duty to the seller and receives payment for his services. This new concept forced the relationship between the seller and the broker to a higher level of service and obligation. It also allowed brokers to list properties for sale through contracts. These contracts are what we now call listings. The above forms of listings we call open listings. Open listing is a type of non-exclusive listing contract that authorizes a real estate broker to offer a property for sale, find a buyer, and receive payment for services at the close of that transaction.

Other brokers might also have open listings for the same property, but only the broker who actually found the buyer would receive a commission. Also, no broker would be paid a fee if the seller sold the property. Open listing discouraged broker-to-broker cooperation as each broker could obtain his or her own open listing. To solve the open list problem, the exclusive agency the list became popular.

The exclusive agency listing is a type of listing contract in which the seller offers only listing brokerage compensation if the buyer is acquired through the efforts of the broker or the efforts of other real estate brokers. Suddenly, the concept that the selling agency owed its fiduciary duty to only the salesperson was no longer an orderly and logical concept. As the 1950s and 1960s progressed, a more formalized cooperative brokerage system, known as Multiple listing service (MLS), was developed. Through MLS, the concept of subagency evolved. Simply put, this meant that the listing broker was the agent and represented only the seller. The listing brokerage would hire sales associates who were considered subagents of the seller. The MLS brokerage firm was required to list for the listing to be available for everybody cooperating brokerage within your MLS. These cooperating brokers were also considered subagents of the listing brokerage, who were agents of the seller. If the cooperating brokerage had sales associates, they were subagents of the cooperating brokerage, who were subagents of the listing brokerage, who was the seller’s agent. During this period, an agency relationship with a buyer was not possible, as the agency relationship was always with the seller. The only duty a licensee owed a buyer was not to lie when asked about a property. The concept of “buyer care” was really the reality of how the brokerage business worked and buyers were always unrepresented.

The rise of consumerism, manifested in numerous court decisions, put pressure on the brokerage business to become more concerned with the interests of the buyer. In the 1980s, a government study found that nearly three-quarters of all buyers believed that the brokerage they worked with represented them as a client. The same study found that nearly three-quarters of all sellers also believed that the cooperating brokerage represented the buyer’s interests. It soon became clear that the agency law concepts that industry and government regulators had tried to impose to simplify and clarify agency relationships had not worked.
