Where can you come in with a 170 LSAT score?

Many people wonder where a 170 LSAT score takes them. The average LSAT score is 150. But a 170 can pretty much get you anywhere as long as you have a high enough grade point average (GPA). Based on recent statistical data, you have a good chance of getting into any of the 25-30 law schools with such a score. Again, depending on your GPA, when you’re applying to law school, and other factors like your extracurricular activities and your personal statement, a 170 on the LSAT can get you places.

The following is just part of the list of law schools that accepted a score of 170 LSAT or less in 2009. I have limited it to the top 25 to 30 schools because, assuming your GPA is high enough, you have a great chance. these schools. (Note that many schools apply other factors and base their decisions on various criteria. However, the following list is a good guide).

So without further ado, you have a great chance of being admitted to the following law schools: Harvard, Yale, Columbia, NYU, University of Chicago, University of Virginia, Duke University, University of Michigan, Georgetown, Stanford, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Northwest, USC, Boston University, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, University of California-Berkley, Fordham, University of Minnesota, University of California-Los Angeles, George Washington, University of Texas-Austin, University of Washington in St. Louis , Brooklyn School of Law, BYU, Emory, Boston College, and Cardozo-Yeshiva University.

As you can see, there are many options for such a high score. The LSAT is a difficult exam, but if you passed it with a 170, you will have many options. Also, if you think that a 170 on the LSAT is not good enough, there is always a good LSAT prep course you can take.

However, remember that the LSAT is only one component of the admissions process. Your GPA is the other important component. To be admitted to the schools listed above, your GPA must be relatively high, somewhere in the range of 3.6 to 4.0. If it’s lower than that, it doesn’t matter how high you score on the LSAT. You must be able to demonstrate to law schools that you are capable of consistent hard work over several years and not just score high on the LSAT in one day.

Remember also that other components come into play. For example, your extracurricular activities will help you differentiate yourself and make you unique. Your personal statement is also a unique expression of yourself in which you literally have no limits within which you can express yourself.

Simply put, if you have a 170 LSAT score, you will always have quality options, but it is the total package that counts.

Intestinal Candida: Is It The Cause Of Belly Fat And Bloated Feeling?

Does your belly feel bloated often? Are you finding it difficult to lose belly fat? You may have intestinal Candida symptoms. Our diets today can encourage Candida overgrowth causing health problems, especially in the digestive tract.

When yeast or candida multiply beyond normal levels in the body, they can threaten the immune system. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are feeding yeast and causing Candida overgrowth. Intestinal Candida can cause bloating, gas, and cramps. Candida overgrowth can also cause desperate sugar and carbohydrate cravings that cause belly fat.

If Candida is fed and grows, it can penetrate organs, multiply, and invade the digestive tract, nasal passages, tongue, and vagina. Candida can produce a by-product called acetaldehyde and it is the same compound responsible for the hangover effect. Acetaldehyde is a toxin and can build up in the muscles, brain, and spinal cord. It will cause aching muscles, fuzzy thoughts, and pain.

Common symptoms of Candida overgrowth:

* Bloating or abdominal flatulence

* Unexplained fatigue

* Recurrent candidiasis and cystitis

* Food cravings, especially sugar and bread (carbohydrates).

* Fungal infections of the skin or nails, athlete’s foot, psoriasis.

* Headaches

* Acne

* Rectal itching

* Chemical and food sensitivities

* Endometriosis

* Abdominal bread

* Numbness, tingling, and weak muscles.

* Constipation

* Muscle aches, joint pain.

* Blurry vision

* Earaches

* Recurring sore throat and stuffy nose

* Difficulties with gaining or losing weight.

* Symptoms are worse in humid climates or places, moldy environments

* Alcohol intolerance

* Mood swings, feeling of space, memory loss and depression.

Reducing Candida can be challenging, but it can be done. You can’t completely get rid of Candida, but you can stop the overgrowth through diet and nutrition.

Foods that contain yeast and you should avoid:

Cakes, breads, biscuits, crackers, muffins, rolls, pastries, filling mixes, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, nuts, all fermented beverages such as beer, spirits, wine cider and malted products, vinegars, miso , tempeh, tofu, smoked meats and fish, processed meats, and peanuts.

You should avoid eating sugar, nuts, and some natural fruits at first. Some people cannot eat fruit at all. You must see how your body responds. Avoid alcohol as it turns into pure sugar and will feed the yeast. Avoid refined carbohydrates that are easily converted to sugar. These foods are usually white flour products and processed foods. Try to eat natural and organic foods, especially lots of vegetables.

In the beginning, when you are not eating the usual foods your Candida is used to, it can suffer from life-threatening effects. Candida is protesting and clamoring for more food to feed the yeast. Side effects can include headaches, aches and pains, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and excess mucus. The effects of death can mimic everything you are struggling to get rid of, but stand your ground and know that the new diet is working.

In no time these side effects will pass. It’s your body’s way of saying “we’re fighting candida, so please don’t feed the yeast!”

California 433a and Manufactured Home Engineering Foundation Certifications and Form HCD 513C

We get questions about the California 433a process quite frequently in our office. In this article I will answer the following questions about manufactured homes in California:

  1. What is California Form 433a?
  2. What Does a California Registered 433a Document Accomplish?
  3. What is the process for filing a California 433a?

So, let’s go ahead and get into it …

1. What is a California 433a?

In California, to convert the manufactured home into real estate, Form 433a must be filed. Generally speaking, the registered 433A is required by the Mortgage Lender and / or the Title Company. Form 433A is a form from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Also known as “Installing a Manufactured Home on a Foundation System.”

The California Department of Housing and Community Development requires manufactured homeowners who anchor their units to foundation systems to file a form known as Form 433A with HCD. The form must be completed at the time a building permit is issued. After the installation has been approved and on the same day the certificate of occupancy is issued, HCD will file the Form 433A with the county recorder’s office. Therefore, a preliminary title report must reveal whether a Form 433A was filed.

2. What does a California-registered 433a document accomplish?

When completed by the governing construction division and registered by the City / County Recorder, the form certifies that the manufactured home was installed on a permanent foundation or foundation system approved by California and acts as an investment (security) instrument. for the mortgage lender, the title company, and even the homeowner.

Once registered, ensure that:

  • the prefab house has been placed on a suitable foundation. After this, it is no longer personal property, but real property subject to real property taxes.
  • A professional engineer, licensed in the state of California, has certified that the base has been installed in accordance with the appropriate standards.

3. What is the process for filing and registering a 433a in California?

Broadly speaking, it means: 1) applying for a permit, 2) installing an engineering modification, 3) obtaining a certificate of compliance from an engineer, 4) inspection by the government building department, and finally 5) registering the document 433a.

To be more complete, prior to the installation of the manufactured home in the foundation system, the owner or a licensed contractor will need to obtain a building permit from the appropriate enforcement agency (city, county, etc.). To obtain a permit, the owner or contractor must first provide the following:

  1. Written evidence that the owner owns, has title to, or is purchasing the real property where the mobile home will be installed on a foundation system.
  2. Written evidence acceptable to the enforcement agency that the registered owner owns the manufactured home.
  3. If it is a new manufactured home on a new foundation, the required plans and specifications must be drawn up by a California licensed engineer. If it is an older manufactured home on an existing foundation, a certification from a California licensed engineer will be required; this may require the design of a modification to meet the appropriate standards.
  4. Applicable permit fees.

Preview of the Crimson Dragon

One of the most exciting things about this year’s E3 Expo is the new consoles. Last year we had Wii U, but this time Nintendo has some serious competition from Sony and Microsoft. As I ran through the halls, I tried to find an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 game to try first. When I waddled through the crowded Xbox Show Room, I was greeted with Crimson dragon. It’s an Xbox One exclusive and comes from the genius Yukio Futatsugi, the creator of three previous Panzer Dragoon I even got a chance to meet Mr. Futatsugi when he was standing right behind me watching me play his game. So how was the title? Funny, but it seemed pretty buggy. Please note, this is a work in progress – this game is not an Xbox One launch title, so it still has a long way to go before its release.

The first thing I noticed was that the controls seemed a bit dull. The dragon he was controlling seemed a bit floating, again, it’s a dragon, right? You also have the ability to play games on the Xbox One’s new Kinect Sensor Bar if you want, but according to a Microsoft representative, they wanted to give the consumer both options. Every time I asked a question they greeted me with the standard “It’s a work in progress, but everything is getting better.” This game was still a lot of fun to play.

The E3 demo begins with your dragon running out of a lava-filled cave. There’s a lot to shoot at with your scaly friend, like the ferocious floating jellyfish-like creatures that I unleashed my beast on. While holding the right trigger, you can lock enemies on the screen and once you release the trigger, you release energy to the baddies. There was also a lightning-based attack that I didn’t really bother with as it seemed a bit underdeveloped.

If you are familiar with the Panzer Dragoon titles, then you know they’re rail shooters. You really don’t have to worry about where you are going to advance, the game does it for you; you just have to be able to dodge numerous projectiles and things in the environment. There were stalagmites hanging from the ceiling of the cave that my character cut automatically without taking any damage. I found it entertaining to watch my horrible dragon go through the rocks. Again, this game has a long way to go in development.

The Microsoft representative told me that this game is about scoring against your friends. This will no doubt have an online leaderboard where you can keep track of your best times and scores with other people on Xbox Live. This game also has cooperative multiplayer, in case you and your dragon feel lonely and lonely.

Another cool feature is that you can evolve your dragon. It will visually change and obviously become more powerful. I mean, dragons already look more intimidating than the ones found in Skyrim; We’ll see how crazy they’ll get once I max level with them. This is the feature that I am really excited to try when it launches.

While playing the demo, I finally came across a mini-boss. It looked like a huge fire dragon creature that emerged from the lava. The main way to beat him is to dodge his fire projectiles with the left and right bumpers; that way you can twist and turn around her bangs. It was easy enough and we set off again. The final boss of the show rushed in and was unbelievably beautiful. The light seemed to shine off his scales and white teeth. To defeat this enemy, I generally used the same tactics that I used with the mini-boss, but took a significant amount of damage. Once defeated, the demo ends and shows an even larger dragon eating this one.

This game was originally set to appear on Xbox 360, but they switched gears and decided to simply update the game during development to an Xbox One title. You can pretty much see that it was an Xbox 360 game. The graphical power of Xbox One it didn’t really show itself; some of the lava textures seemed a bit bland. They told me they would take advantage of the new hardware and add a lot more enemies to the screen than the original Xbox 360 version could have included.

I was impressed to see that this game came out of nowhere and is already playing pretty well. It will be interesting to see how this fan-favorite series plays out in the next generation. I’m intrigued to see how they’re going to use the new Xbox One’s Kinect sensor as well. Only time will tell, but the future looks incredibly bright for Crimson dragon.

“One For the Gipper” – The Original Story

President Ronald Reagan is affectionately labeled “The Gipper” as a result of his film portrayal of the legendary Notre Dames football player. The nickname is so firmly attached to the president that the real Gipper is almost forgotten.

The true story is clouded by the fog of time. His hometown of Laurium, on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, maintains a website dedicated to his local hero. This is true: he was born Feb. 18, 1895 to Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Gipp.

He attended Calumet public schools, but never played soccer in high school. However, he was a versatile athlete. He participated in track and field, hockey, sandlot football, and organized baseball. The Laurium baseball team was the Upper Peninsula champion in 1915, with George playing center field.

Gipp hadn’t thought of going to college. However, he was proficient in baseball, billiards, poker, and dice. His greatest achievement was winning a gold watch for ballroom dancing.

The stocky six-foot, 180-pound Gipp at age 21 was persuaded by a Notre Dame graduate that he could get a baseball scholarship for asking.

Beyond these statistics, we must trust sports historians.

James A. Cox offers a colorful account of Gipp’s spectacular career. It begins on a fall afternoon in 1916 with two freshmen playing baseball on the playing field of a Midwestern college.

Without warning, a soccer ball passes over the fence from a nearby grid where the school’s varsity team was practicing. Hit one of the young men. He grabs the errant soccer ball and kicks it over the fence 70 meters away.

Across the field, a coach whistles in amazement and runs up. “Hey you! You with the ball. What’s your name?”

“Gipp” is the laconic answer.

“Where are you from?

“Michigan.”

“Play high school football?”

“Not.”

“Well, I think you will be a soccer player,” says the coach. “Get out tomorrow. We’ll follow you and see what you can do.”

The young man shrugs. “I don’t know,” he says vaguely. “I don’t particularly care about soccer.”

This was the meeting of Gorge Gipp and Knute Rockne. A few days later, Gipp shows up for a test.

* * *

There was no difficulty in switching scholarships when it emerged that he could rush 100 yards in ten seconds, throw accurate passes to the middle of the field, and kick 60-yard punts with ease. He became an All-American running back.

Gipp established a reputation in his first out-of-town game with the freshman team against Western Michigan State Normal. Cox wrote:

“Playing as a running back, Gipp accumulates yards. But the score is 7-7 as the fourth quarter runs out with just a couple of minutes to go.

“The Irish have the ball. The quarterback calls punt formation: kick and play for the tie.

“Gipp objects. He wants to try a field goal. The quarterback looks at him as he would a madman. From where the kicker will be, to the opposite post, which at that moment was on the goal line, there were more than 60 yards However, the quarterback orders “Punt.”

“The ball snaps, Gipp drops it to the ground, as was the custom then, gets a perfect bounce and throws the ball through the studs. It was a 62-yard field goal that earned a lasting place in the book. register “.

In the spring of his freshman year, Gipp tried out for the baseball team and made it as an outfielder. He played only one game.

Ignoring a signal to knock, he threw the ball over the fence for a home run.

“Why?” asked the manager. “Don’t you remember the signs?”

“Sure,” Gipp replied, “but it’s too hot to be running around the bases after a hit.” The next day, he turned in his baseball uniform and concentrated on soccer.

He earned his way serving tables in the university dining room for food and lodging. He raised money playing in nearby industrial and semi-professional baseball leagues.

He also frequented billiard halls and other low places in South Bend.

A hangout called Hullie & Mikes became their second home. He once said, “I’m the best freelance player to ever attend Notre Dame.”

His roommate, Arthur (Dutch) Bergman, explained:

“No one in South Bend could beat him at the lighthouse, billiards, pool, poker, or bridge. He studied percentages in throwing the dice and he could fade those bones in a way that made the pros dizzy. pockets, he was the terror of the salons.

“He never played with other students, although his littering skills helped pay the way through Notre Dame for more than a few of his friends. I’ve seen him win $ 500 at a game of dice and then spend his winnings buying food for homeless families in South Bend “.

Gipp cut so many classes in 1919 that he was expelled from school. He took a job as a house player at the Hullie & Mikes gambling emporium.

Horrified, Notre Dame alumni sports fans flooded the university with complaints. The university gave him a special exam, which he passed, and reinstated him. From then on, Gipp got to practice when he wanted, doing what he wanted to do. Nobody complained. The coaches and players knew that he was fervently dedicated to winning. The team revolved around him.

The 1920 season established Gipp as “immortal.”

On a Saturday afternoon, Notre Dame found itself a 17-14 deficit to Army.

In the locker room, Rockne unleashed one of his famous fight speeches at halftime. Gipp looked bored. Rockne turned to Gipp and challenged him: “I guess you have no interest in this game.” Gipp replied, “Don’t worry, I have $ 500 and I don’t intend to spend my money.”

By the end of the game, Gipp had accumulated 385 yards rushing, more than the entire Army team. He scored a touchdown by executing a kickoff, threw two precise passes to set up a touchdown. Almost single-handedly he led Notre Dame to a 27-17 comeback victory.

Gip paid a price for the performance that day. He was tired, pale, and a little bloody. His distress was so obvious that the West Point crowd stood and watched in awe as he left the field.

There were four games left in the season. A clean sweep would give Notre Dame a shot at the national championship.

Purdue fell 28-0. In Indiana the following week, Gipp suffered a shoulder dislocation that makes him bench with bandages. The Hoosiers built a 10-0 lead, which they held in the fourth quarter.

The Irish advanced to the 2-yard line, but stalled. Gipp jumped off the bench and yelled at Rockne, “I’m going in!”

“Come back!” Roared Rockne.

Gipp ignored the command. On the second play, he crashed for a touchdown. He then kicked the extra point and returned to his bench.

On Notre Dame’s next possession, as time ran out, the Irish worked the ball to the 15-yard line. Once again, Gipp rushed from the bench to take over.

He drew back for a dropkick that tied the game to tie the game. The Hoosiers broke in to block it. Calmly, Gipp threw the ball to a catcher at the 1-yard line. On the next play, with the entire Indiana team converging on Gipp, he slammed into the tackle with his injured arm stuck. It was a ruse. The Notre Dame quarterback danced into the end zone with the ball for the winning touchdown.

As the team returned to South Bend, Gipp went to Chicago to teach a high school team how to throw kicks. The icy wind caused pain, fever and a sore throat. Back in South Bend, Gipp went to his sickbed.

The following Friday, against Northwestern, Rockne kept Gipp feverish on the bench until the fourth quarter. Then to the chants of the crowd: “We want Gipp!” – allowed his star to play a few plays – finished off with a 55-yard touchdown pass to rack up a 33-7 loss. .

* * *

On Thanksgiving, Notre Dame defeated Michigan State 25-0 to complete its second straight win-win season, but Gipp wasn’t there. He was in the hospital with pneumonia and strep throat, a serious illness before the antibiotics.

It was clear that Gipp was doomed. On December 14, 1920, he converted to Catholicism and received the last rites. His mother, brother, sister and Coach Rockne watched by his bed, while the entire student body knelt in the snow on campus praying for him.

While I was in a coma, someone whispered, “It’s hard to go.”

Gipp heard him and woke up. “What’s so tough about it?” he said dismissively.

Beyond this, we only have Rockne’s version.

Gipp turned to Rockne. “I have to go, Rock,” he whispered. “Okay. At some point when the team faces that, when things go wrong and the counterattacks are beating the guys, tell them to come in with everything they have and win just one for the Gipper.”

There are doubts that the generally modest Gipp actually delivered the dramatic deathbed speech, but Rockne always swore it was true.

Yet eight years passed before Rockne felt the need to invoke George Gipp’s last words.

It was at Yankee Stadium, New York, on November 12, 1928. Notre Dame had lost two games. An undefeated Army team held the regular Fighting Irish in a goalless draw at halftime. In the locker room, Rockne stood up and addressed his tired players.

“Guys, I want to tell you a story that I never thought I would have to tell.”

Then Rockne recounted, in a serious voice, George Gipp’s final challenge. When it climaxed – “Come in and win one for the Gipper” – the players are said to have opened the locker room door and ran onto the field. The Irish played the second half as if the legend of Notre Dame led the way.

At the end of the game, the score was Notre Dame 12, Army 6.

The Gipper had scored for the last time, from the grave.

Use of natural stone to enhance the dining experience

It is a serious problem in many hotels that offer the appeal of an entertaining nightlife. Customers come to play but they go to eat. It is not enough to serve tasty dishes, smart hotels must also provide the right atmosphere. After all, “atmosphere is everything.” Lodging establishments looking to retain their customers’ appetites and wallets only need to look to a trendy New Jersey hotel / resort for the answer.

In July 2003, the most resplendent adornment on the Atlantic City scene was unveiled; The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. Like a peacock among pigeons, this luxurious Northeast landmark has been elegantly erected in full plumage, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Boardwalk or bayside, The Borgata offers a different experience to any of its new neighbors. But after adding a group of 5-star restaurants, there was a need to improve the dining experience for these fine restaurants and other entertainment areas. The answer was set in stone. The decision was made to hire several high-profile design teams to implement natural stone floors, walls, service counters, kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities. From an aesthetic perspective, the use of natural stone for walls and floors would significantly increase the beauty and prestige of the restaurants, and offer a dining experience like no other in the city.

Unique materials

To complete this project, the design teams first had to source no fewer than 20 different types of rare stones, including Calacatta marble combined with books, Azul Macauba marble wall panels, chiseled and flamed Pompeii granite, lava stone, and mosaics. personalized, among others. . To meet this need, the stones were imported from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile and China. The project also required 20,000 square feet of stone.

Challenges

Regarding design, working with stone or any natural material can become a challenge. The colors and patterns are completely unique from stone to stone. For those looking for a wealth of style and color options, working with a company that has access to quarries in various parts of the world is paramount.

A walk to one of the restaurants reveals brown granite and white Arabescato marble elegantly bathing both the floor and the wall, creating an impeccably epicurean dining environment. In another restaurant, the floors are made of chiseled and flamed Pompeii granite and the bathroom walls are lined with an elaborate and very rare custom ceramic and wood mosaic.

The way to elegance

Borgata’s decision to incorporate the beauty and elegance of natural stone to enhance the aesthetic ambience pays off over time, with greater and more relevant patronage, and also goes a long way toward strengthening the integrity of the brand. Natural stone is a unique design material because it is exotic, malleable, and most of all, mysterious. Its cool surface can be polished in various ways to give different interpretations of its character and composition. Because of these simple facts, it has been, and always will be, associated with high-level experience.

Property Management Tips: 7 Ways To Get Organized You Must Know To Rent Your Places Faster

I can’t tell you how many times at the beginning of my career in property management, a prospective tenant called me and caught me off guard. I quickly learned that I was saving 5-10 hours a week and renting more houses by being well prepared. These are my best tips.

1) Application forms

The property manager must carry at least 50 blank rental applications with them at all times. Very often, you will find yourself on the list for a new rental home and you will not have applications to put in the kitchen. You want to have apps around the house so you’re not always rushing to your car during a show.

The property management company should also have the rental application saved on the computer in a format that can be emailed to their clients quickly. You don’t want to just send a fax or have them pick up the form. This is very quick and painless.

2) At least 10 copies of blank leases

Very often, you will approve a tenant and will need to meet with them to sign the lease. Leaving the office at the end of the day, he completely forgets to print and bring copies of the lease. Even the most organized person deviates. Having the blank lease on your car ensures that you never show up empty-handed.

3) Key tags

You should carry a small box of key tags so that you can label the keys you receive from new listings / owners. In the past, you constantly forgot which keys belong to which properties and had to discard them. This means that the rent could not be rented until I could get a maintenance guy to change the locks. With just a little extra discipline and tagging the key as soon as you receive it, you will save yourself a ton of hassle.

4) Digital camera

You should keep your digital camera in the car as much as possible to make sure you are ready for the new lists. Half the time the new owners have cleaned your property and it is ready to go. By having the camera ready, you can simply take all the photos you need to advertise your rental on MLS or Craigslist.

5) Property management agreements

Like the lease, you should keep 10 copies of your management contract in your car. This will make preparing for a listing appointment much easier and less stressful. Bringing your camera, business cards and the management agreement, you have everything you need to register the new owner. You also want to have the agreement in email format so you can quickly send it to the owners over the Internet.

6) Pens and business cards

It’s embarrassing not to have any on a list or on a leasing appointment. Professionalism is in the details.

7) Organizer to carry everything

You can purchase an organizer from Office Depot or Staples that can store all of the items listed above. Some people prefer a briefcase, but I personally use a black plastic box with hanging folders. Wear what suits you best, but have it all in one place in your car

Note: A prepared property manager will create an automatic task in Outlook or a daily planner to populate all items once a month. Getting organized is useless for your property management company if you don’t have a tracking system to make sure you stay organized.

New York Personal Injury & No-Fault FAQs

Every personal injury claim is different and there are no guarantees. Here are rough answers to some questions we frequently hear about personal injury. Below are specific FAQs about No-Fault in New York.

Frequently Asked Questions About Personal Injury

Q: How much do lawyers charge?

A: For most personal injury claims, there is no fee unless you collect. Most New York attorneys charge a one-third contingency fee. When the claim is resolved, the attorney is reimbursed for the costs of the award. The attorney then collects the one-third fee. For example, if a claim is settled for $ 35,000 and the attorney has $ 2,000 in expenses, the fee is $ 11,000 (1/3 of $ 33,000). The client would get $ 22,000.

Q: Does the lawyer always pay the expenses in advance?

A: Generally, but not always. There are two main situations in which we do not. First, some personal injury claims are not very strong, but we might still be willing to work with contingency fees. In such claims, we will tell the client that they will have to pay the expenses. The other situation is when there is a good offer and the client refuses to accept it against our advice. In these lawsuits we require the client to cover all future expenses.

Q: What are typical expenses in a personal injury lawsuit?

A: In New York personal injury lawsuits, filing fees generally add up to less than $ 500. Transcripts of statements also typically add up to less than $ 500. The biggest expense is when a lawsuit goes to trial and we have to pay. to doctors and other experts to testify. We have paid between $ 300 and $ 7,500 for a doctor’s testimony, and some doctors charge up to $ 5,000. Other expenses include process servers, investigations, medical records, and meals. In some cases, you may need other experts. In one big case, we spent about $ 10,000 on an accident reconstructor. The other side spent about $ 40,000 on theirs.

Q: What is the process?

A: First, most attorneys negotiate with the insurance company. If the negotiations are unproductive, the lawyer files a lawsuit. For a few months the lawyers exchange paperwork with the lawyers of the insurance company. Then come the depositions, where the plaintiff client is questioned and the plaintiff’s attorney questions theirs. The insurance company could then have the plaintiff’s doctor examine the plaintiff in what is known as an independent medical examination (IME). The plaintiffs’ attorneys prefer to call this a defense medical exam. The last is the judgment. A lawsuit can be resolved at any point along the way, even while the jury is out.

After a trial, the losing side can appeal. Sometimes even the winner can appeal. Sometimes cases are resolved during the appeals process.

Faq without fail

When you are injured in a car accident in New York State, no-fault insurance can help you with many of your costs. The following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) will help you understand when and how you pay No-Fault, what you pay, and what you need to do.

Q: Am I eligible for no-fault benefits?

A: You are eligible for no-fault benefits in New York State if:

1. You are injured in a car accident;

2. You are a pedestrian hit by a car or motorcycle;

3. You are injured during the use, operation, or maintenance of a motor vehicle, unless you are injured in the course of the vehicle repair or maintenance business.

*** Motorcycle drivers and their passengers are not eligible for no-fault benefits.

Q: What do I do first?

A: Submit your medical expenses and lost wages. New York State Disability and No-Fault Income Benefit Forms are provided by the no-fault insurance company (the insurance company that insured the car you were in or collided with at the time of the accident). To begin the process, you must send the documentation to that carrier. Failure to apply in a timely manner may result in denial of benefits. We recommend submitting this information as quickly as possible and we can help with the process.

Q: What information will I have to send?

A: You will be asked to list all the providers and medical facilities that are treating you. The no-fault insurer will send forms to your doctors. Most will send their invoices directly to the carrier. You should also list your employer (s) and any other related expenses.

Q: What if I go to a new doctor for treatment?

A: Give the new doctor the name and address of the no-fault insurance company so that he can also submit his bills for the company to pay. Once your application has been submitted, the no-fault carrier assumes responsibility for medical bills resulting from the accident.

You should also include your employer in your no-fault claim so that any lost wages you incur as a result of the accident can be recovered.

Q: What if my child is injured in an accident?

A: In New York State, if a minor (someone under the age of eighteen) receives medical treatment as a result of a car accident, the parent or guardian is legally responsible for those medical bills. Therefore, the parent or guardian should submit the minor’s medical bills to the insurance company without fault, just as they would their own. What is the importance of buying a dash cam?

You have been driving your car for a long time. Being a good and experienced driver, you make sure you don’t go over the speed limit, run red lights, or talk to someone using your phone while talking. Let’s be honest. We must all have had a close encounter with an accident while walking, biking, or driving. There are people who show no concern for the lives of others and as a result it leads to accidents or near misses. If you’ve been the victim of road rage or slightly lost in an accident that could have turned out to be fatal to you, all of these reasons go a long way toward making up for why you should opt for a dash cam.

If you are eager to know what a “dash cam” is all about, its definition is given below.

Dash Cam – It is also known as a dash cam, car DVR, car camera or accident recorder, but the fact that they record much more than mere accidents cannot be ignored. Dash cameras are cameras that are equipped at the front and sometimes at the rear of the vehicle. These cameras have the ability to record anything without pause. With this incredible device, drivers stay relaxed with the feeling that everything will be recorded in the event of a mishap. They are loaded with multiple recording modes and also have a built-in GPS system that shows the speed and location of the vehicle.

There has been a huge demand in the purchase of dash cameras and these cameras can be found in a wide variety. Therefore, you can buy the one that suits you best. You don’t want your camera sticking out of your car’s windshield. You can get them even in a smaller size. If the size of your camera is small, no one will be able to suspect that you already have a dash cam mounted on the front windshield of your car. This camera can also be attached to your dash and will record everything that happens while you are driving.

Dash cameras can be purchased at a price that won’t put a hole in your pocket and has become a hot item today. They are widely used by bus drivers, police officers, taxi drivers, and private car owners to record anything while on the move.

Has this technology started to get the attention of civilians?

Absolutely! If you want to buy a dash cam, you can choose a basic dash cam with many features and capabilities, or you can go for another dash cam depending on your needs. A dual dash camera generally has a front and rear camera and can shoot a wide range of view. This camera captures all the incidents that took place in front of you while driving as evidence. You don’t have to worry about the other party changing their statement or trying to cover up the story with something less factual.

There are some devious people who will deliberately cause an accident and try to blame others just to get some money out of them. They may even try to present themselves with a fake injury just to collect money from the insurance company. For these deceitful souls, the dash cam turns out to be a very useful device that will reveal nothing but the truth.
