Toy Car Carriers in Florida

When it comes to moving your car, a major concern is how much the carrier weighs. Auto carriers have limited space, and the larger your car, the more expensive it will be to ship. Therefore, if possible, it is better to ship a compact or sedan instead of a truck or SUV. You should also consider the weight of your car, as transportation guidelines set a limit on how much a carrier can carry. Ultimately, a heavier car will cost more to ship, but it will be cheaper than shipping a smaller, compact car.

Florida has strict weight limits for car carriers, which are enforced by the Office of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (OCVE). These limits are in place to protect highways from being damaged by heavy trucks. If you exceed a weight limit, you can be fined $.05 per pound. In addition, there are 39 weigh stations throughout the state, some of which can process oversize loads quickly. However, if you want to avoid fines, you need to be aware of the weight limits.

Weight limits for car carriers in Florida vary based on the size of the vehicle. Larger vehicles require more space and weigh more than smaller vehicles. As a result, they are more expensive to ship. Typical commercial car carriers in Florida can carry anywhere from five to nine cars at a time. The distance that the carrier must cover can also affect the cost.

Snorkeling Desecheo: A Forbidden Island off Rincón, Puerto Rico

The towering surf surges through the 12-mile pass between Rincón, Puerto Rico and an uninhabited island. Our dive boat rides the top of the waves time and time again, reaching the summit of the Indigo Hills with ease. We plan to dive off the coast of Desecheo Island, a National Wildlife Refuge that was once home to smugglers and pirates but is now home to a group of brown boobies, three species of lizard found nowhere else. place in the world and a healthy population of introduced species. rhesus monkeys.

Unfortunately, the island itself is off limits. During World War II, the United States used it as a firing range, and unexploded ordnance now poses a security threat to visitors.

As we close the gap, Desecheo emerges from the notoriously shifting tides and strong currents of the Mona Passage. When his rough shoulders suddenly come into view, we drop anchor at forty feet. I watch the shoreline where the white water funnels through the jagged rocks and crashes against the land. There is something tantalizing about the mystery of an isolated place. I want to investigate the wild hills. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to explore the bay, but even as I put on my gear and take a giant step off the dive platform, I’m focused on the small beach that’s just a short swim away.

The water closes over my head and for a moment I am suspended at fisheye level, suspended between heaven and earth in a world free of gravity. Visibility is over 80 feet and this is an overcast day. Queen triggerfish float near the boat, perhaps hoping to share our sandwiches. They wiggle their thin ends like little girls tossing their hair. After cleaning my snorkel, I dive facedown into the water, watch a tropical fish dance, and allow the warmth of the sun to seep into my body like Puerto Rican rum. Pink and blue parrotfish tango on the sand and striped sergeant major cha-cha on limestone ledges. A pair of butterfly fish jump in a cascading spiral to greet me.

That’s when I notice a barracuda staring at me. Barracuda tend to swim close to the surface and if you are too focused on the distant sea floor, you are likely to miss their menacing presence. Mr. Flashy Teeth is beyond arm’s reach. We stare at each other for a long moment and then it wags its tail and disappears into the blue.

I allow myself to drift towards the beach. Submerged rocks rise below me and the swell breaks over them, reducing visibility to a bubbly two or three feet. Even if it was safe to set foot on the island, reaching it would be treacherous. I was hoping to at least get close, but not today.

Resigned, I kicked against the current and returned to the safety of deeper water. Our guide is calling everyone back to the boat anyway. Maybe one day I’ll set foot on Desecheo Island. In the meantime, I must admit that the snorkeling off the coast is impressive. And I’m glad that in my longing to explore the reaches of something unattainable, I didn’t miss out on the wild encounter at hand.

Uniden Radio Scanners – A Review of the Uniden BC370CRS Radio Clock Scanner

While searching for Uniden radio scanners online, I came across the Uniden BC370CRS 300 Channel Clock Radio Scanner and saw good reviews of the product. So I went ahead and bought it on Amazon for a bargain price that was cheap enough that I didn’t care if the device wasn’t any good at all. But I was very happy to discover that I was not wrong at all in buying this product. So here I am describing every part of this scanner to let others know what a great device it is.

Design

It is definitely a stylish and very attractive device that I would love to add to my home decor. I put this unit on the end table in my living room for all my guests to see, and everyone thinks it’s some kind of tech-hobbyist clock or radio. It could even pass as a cool calculator with the digits and all. It has a sleek dark silver design that’s easy on the eyes, with black buttons and silver dials for volume and mute. It is nice and compact with the dimensions of 20.9cm x 14.8cm x 8.1cm and weighing 1.5lbs. It’s easy enough to transfer from room to room, and the small size makes it easy to set up on any table or desk.

The buttons are simple and very easy to use. Each function has a specific function, whether it is for the radio, the alarm clock or the scanner. Having three devices for the price of one is also an amazing advantage that I got when I bought this because I thought it was a simple scanner. It is very functional and simple, I don’t think any other scanner can compete with it.

Scan and audio output

I’ve had a few Uniden radio scanners in my life, but I know the name. And I knew this had something good to offer even if I didn’t read its specs. I wasn’t wrong. This unit has 300 channels and you can store them all separately in 10 banks, giving you a maximum of 30 channels per bank. You can even select a priority channel for each bank, so you have 10 priority channels that the device scans every 2 seconds for updates. There are also five preprogrammed service channels that you can search to find certain frequencies for police, fire/emergency, ham radio, air, and marine departments.

The audio output of this model has a maximum of 0.9W. There are two antennas included in the package to produce better reception: a telescopic antenna and an AM radio loop antenna. It’s no wonder you get such clear and perfectly audible reception.

Other features

This is a multifunctional device because it has a clock and an AM/FM radio. But what is more amazing is that the clock has an alarm and the settings can be navigated and manipulated like a normal alarm clock. Time settings are automatically set based on the precise time that NIST stations broadcast, so you no longer have to set the time. Single alarm setting allows you to choose whether to set a radio station or alarm tone as your alarm sound, or just turn it off. There’s also a functional snooze button to add five more minutes to your deep sleep.

The radio also has good features. The radio broadcasts AM, FM and TV 2-13 stations. You can save up to 30 preset stations for easy tuning: 10 AM and 20 TV/FM stations. But that’s not all this unit has to offer.

The scanner has several other features found on many Uniden scanners. The blocking function allows you to skip specific frequencies or channels for a much faster scan. You can also tune to certain channels immediately using the direct channel access feature. The two-second delay allows you to stay on a frequency as long as there are active transmissions, and only after two seconds of inactivity will it continue to scan. The LCD backlight can even be turned on or off based on your reference and the LCD contrast can also be set to the most comfortable level for optimal viewing. There is a memory backup that has all your channels saved in case of a power outage. The battery icon shows if there are no batteries installed, and if there are, it also indicates if the battery power is running low. Automatically power off once the power is too low.

conclusion

Who wouldn’t be impressed with those specs? I know the Uniden radio scanners were great, but this one is just outstanding. I love it and would never change it for any other model, that’s for sure. I’m even thinking of buying my dad one this Christmas. So if you’re also looking for some great scanners for gift items or personal use, I recommend Uniden’s BC370CRS 300-Channel Clock Radio Scanner as the perfect choice.
