Homeschooling Children ages three to five and legal requirements

Parents who decide to homeschool their preschool-age children have researched the value of homeschooling their own children. Starting home school at preschool age is a great way to get parents and child used to the idea of learning at home. This is also a great way to make it easy to learn how to teach and organize your homeschool schedule. The child is not used to attending a school; therefore, there is no adjustment period. Also, preschoolers are incredibly easy to teach because they learn primarily by playing.

By creating a personalized preschool curriculum, parents provide a safe environment with interactive toys. Believe it or not, the parent is the child’s first teacher. Children this age imitate everything their parents do by watching, playing, helping, talking, and listening. Reading to children at this age is one of the best ways to develop avid readers. A standardized curriculum is not necessary at this age. Children learn by coloring, cutting out, gluing, counting, singing, rhyming, playing games, playing with clay, playing on the playground, and learning to get along with others. It is important to include some of these activities daily in a relaxed and stress-free way. Children this age need your love and attention more than they need academics and structure.

The key to learning at this age is to provide lots of hands-on projects, particularly with arts and crafts. Many kids in this age group have play dates where they get together with other kids and go to parks, farms, and even shopping. Preschoolers love to be included in everything they do, whether it’s emptying the dishwasher, sorting the mail, and especially baking. Although it may seem that their short attention span does not allow for intense learning, they are learning real life experiences.

Legal requirements:

Homeschooling parents do not have to have an advanced degree. There are some qualifications of successful homeschooling parents: love for their children, understanding of their children, desire to continue learning and growing, desire to spend time with their children. Although it may seem uncomfortable at first, especially if your child has been to a public or private school, teaching will eventually become secondhand. Parents need to learn flexibility and also organization at the same time. Open communication and a strong parent-child bond is key to a successful homeschooling.

Homeschooling is legal in every state in the United States. Each state has its own guidelines for homeschooling. There are also many support groups for homeschooling parents. Some private schools offer homeschooling and/or curriculum support. Several different programs also offer group activities after school, such as sports or science. Friends and family can also help with homeschooling. Sometimes there are cooperative home school groups, where one person teaches math and another parent teaches history.

There are also support groups for parents of homeschoolers who are feeling burned out or frustrated. There is guidance on teaching and teaching classes that parents can take. Continuing education helps parents feel confident in their teaching abilities. But keep in mind that every parent is a teacher at some point, it’s inevitable when you’re a parent.

Parents document their homeschooled child’s progress with tests, some are annual and some are alternate assessments. Keeping records of your child’s daily activities and learning is essential to monitoring your child’s progress. When parents find it difficult to teach a certain subject, they turn to private tutors, online classes, CD tutorials, or community college classes to supplement their studies.

Earn money online with your own internet business

The money making joke
You’ve seen them and probably received thousands of them since you started marketing on the internet. They come out of the carpentry, right? Opportunities that promise you too can make money online with little to no effort. Then you invest your money in the opportunity only to discover that there is no pie in the sky… just the cold, hard reality that you just spent some of your rent money on someone’s new car.

Yes, this is the reality many internet marketers face. I have been there. I started in this business with my dad and let me tell you… we’ve seen every scam under the sun. Why? Because we were those people who had a dream and wanted to help other people succeed only to find out that there is no free lunch in business. The cold, hard truth is that “business is business.” Period. There are a million work-at-home opportunities devised every year. There are many more gullible people who buy the dream. In the end, they’re just like me and my dad… a few thousand dollars less.

But, it’s online and it has to be TRUE
Here is a revelation. People who scam unite. They don’t just lie a little, it’s more like lying a lot. They want you to trust them and believe their story. But when it comes to delivering… well. You know. You’ve been there a thousand and one times. You’ve spent your money on the magic potions of the internet only to realize you have no money and now you have a rash (the legendary rash of discouragement).

I’m not here to sell you a pie in the sky. I am here to be your joy of reality. Sleeper, it’s time to wake up! The Internet is not a new invention that defies the laws of business. It’s a business on steroids. Imagine the business rules you know, and then multiply them by the sheer volume of variables that the online component now introduces. The Internet can allow you to become very rich or very broke.

So… Can I make money online or not?
You can young Jedi. I know some of the things I’ve said may be a bit cheeky, but I mean it. There is no money like “internet business” money online. The thing is, you have to see it for what it is. Your Internet business is just that… a business. Don’t enter the field of online business with any mindset other than “I’m going to run MY business.”

There is nothing more rewarding and professionally satisfying than having your own business. And if it worked well, your Internet business can feed you and your family. You may be looking for quick ways to make money. Once you set up your business based on the model you use, the money can come quickly. It all comes down to you and your imagination. Add hustle, grind, and determination, and you’ve got something.

History of gift baskets

Although we might think of gift baskets as a modern way of giving gifts, gift baskets have quite a long legacy. Spanning years and cultures, there are several fascinating stories of gift baskets that have been given throughout history.

Probably one of the earliest accounts of a gift that comes in a basket is the basket of young plants that the pagan goddess Eostre carried in a basket, to be used as a sacred offering. Although some scholars dispute Eostre’s place in the Easter story, however, this is the likely source of the idea for what became the present-day Easter gift basket.

Another early story of the gift basket that had sacred connotations is the Old Testament story of the mother of Moses placing the boy Moses in a wicker basket. She then hid the basket in the reeds at the river’s edge for the daughter of the Egyptian royal family to find and eventually take Moses into her custody and protection.

Baskets have been used not only for gift basket purposes but also for utilitarian reasons for centuries. They were used to carry eggs into the house from the chicken coop, or baskets called tricks were needed to harvest vegetables from the garden and bring them into the house to prepare meals. The baskets were used as a kind of large pannier on horses, donkeys, and mules to transport provisions, and even people on occasion.

Most baskets, including your next gift basket, even today are made by hand. Even with the advent of the industrial age, basketry is almost impossible to do with machinery, and instead requires the same craftsmanship that has been used throughout time. Some cultures have turned basketry into an art form. Today, you’ll find many Native American groups making special baskets used to gather wild blueberries in late spring and early summer. Many Native American tribes are famous for their basketry art.

The care that goes into making anything by hand brings a special level of attention to detail that makes gift baskets so delightful to give and receive. Each item included in personalized gift baskets can be selected to meet the specific wishes of the recipient. Also, the basket can be finished with that special person’s favorite colors in terms of wrapping, ribbon, and ties used.

Gift baskets can also be centered around a particular theme, such as a baby gift basket or holiday gift baskets. You can include specific gift items for any event you want to celebrate, including anniversaries and weddings. Even corporations give these baskets to employees or customers, so that they are remembered in a positive way.

Identity Theft and Your Online Job Search

While identity theft is nothing new, the Web has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for identity thieves.

According to the FBI, identity theft is the number one fraud online. The US Federal Trade Commission says identity theft is the leading source of consumer complaints: 42 percent of all complaints in 2001.

The thief will use your personal information to open credit card accounts, cell phone accounts, open bank accounts in your name, and write bad checks, leaving the victim with bills and ruined credit ratings. Identity thieves can pose as representatives of banks, Internet service providers, and even government agencies to get you to reveal your Social Security number, your mother’s maiden name, financial account numbers, and identifying information.

In a recent article (http://www.msnbc.com/news/830411.asp), MSNBC reported the case of a man who was the victim of a fraudulent job offer posted on Monster.com. According to the article:

“It was just the job Jim needed: a marketing director position at Arthur Gallagher, a major international insurance broker. And just days after Jim responded to the job offer at Monster.com, a director of HR sent a promising email “We’re interested in you,” the note read. Salary is negotiable, clients are great. In fact, clients are so valuable and sensitive that you’ll have to undergo a background check as part of the interview process Eager for the job, Jim complied and submitted nearly all the clues to his digital identity, including his age, height, weight, Social Security number, bank account numbers, even his mother’s maiden name “.

Jim spent the day canceling his credit cards, checking their balances, and contacting the credit bureaus, but he’s worried that his information is now “out there.”

There are warning signs that can alert you to fraudulent job offers. While these items do not necessarily mean that the listing is a scam, they are indications that you should perform additional verification.

–Incorrect grammar and misspellings

–The area codes of the telephone or fax number do not match the address provided

–Unrealistic salary

Online job databases aren’t the only places identity thieves look for personal information. In recent US indictments, individuals have been accused of obtaining and using personal information in a variety of ways. In Miami, two people have been charged with illegally intercepting restaurant computer networks using the cover of a shell corporation. A New York State Insurance Fund administrative employee stole office files and used stolen identities (of people across the country and of office mates) to obtain goods and services. A Kaiser Permanente phlebotomist admitted to using the personal information of patients and employees to open credit card accounts in various names.

Recently, an FTC investigation into a work-from-home scheme spawned an incredible “scam within a scam” when a man posing as an FTC employee sent an email to hundreds of victims of the scam. He requested personal information indicating that it was going to be used as evidence in the case.

While it is impossible to completely eliminate the chances of becoming a victim, you can minimize your risk by doing the following:

–If a potential employer asks you for personal information, you should ask for their contact information and then separately look up the company information and contact them to verify that they actually exist. While it’s not unusual for an employer to ask for certain job-related information (like your employment history and past employers), it’s not appropriate for them to ask for personal information (like a social security number) unless they’re actually hiring you (and employers). has checked to make sure they are legitimate). Even then, you should never be asked for financial information such as a credit card number.

–On online resumes, never include your social security number and keep even your employment history brief.

–Check your credit card statements frequently. Believe it or not, many people don’t even review them!

–Be sure to follow up with creditors if your bill doesn’t arrive on time. A missing credit card bill may mean that an identity thief has changed your billing address to cover their tracks.

–Request your credit report from one of the major credit bureaus each year and verify that everything is correct.

What to do if you have been a victim of identity theft:

The FTC maintains the Consumer Sentinels Identity Theft Data Clearinghouse, the national clearinghouse for identity theft complaints. The FTC established the toll-free identity theft hotline, 1.877.IDTHEFT (1.877.438.4338) and the identity theft website (www.consumer.gov/idtheft) to provide identity theft victims with a central place to report your problems and receive useful information.

The Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). You can use their online system to file a complaint.

5 ideas for children’s entertainment that do not involve video games

Coming up with ideas for kids’ entertainment that don’t involve video games, apps, or other forms of electronics can be a real challenge. Reaching out to kids amid the constant buzz of technology often requires a bit of creativity and a deep understanding of their interests. So next time you feel like putting together a quality family fun experience that will encourage your child to put down their phone, tablet, or game console, try some of these ideas:

Put your child in a starring role.

One way to get your kids involved in the notion of family outings (that don’t involve devices) is to put them in the middle of the night. For example, you can look for events and activities that give kids the chance to wear a crown, be knighted, or become a sheriff for a day, etc. in an environment that is fun and memorable.

Or, you can focus attention on your child by asking him or her to be the emcee or host for the evening. If you’re going out to dinner, for example, your child can order for the entire table or “pay,” depending on his role as host. If you are going to see a show, you can have your child research the venue and then make the announcement or presentation to the rest of the family about the evening’s agenda.

Explore the past.

Time travel is another great option to add flavor and excitement to a family outing or activity. And don’t worry if you can’t get your hands on a real time machine, because there are plenty of other ways to time travel, both real and virtual.

Let’s say you want to plan a board game night. You could declare it’s 50’s Night, and all clothing, conversation, food, and drinks must be 50’s themed. You can play 50’s music in the background, dress in ponytails, pompadours, or poodle skirts, and serve cheeseburgers and shakes for dinner. To get everyone in the mood that afternoon, consider streaming a couple of episodes of 1950s sitcoms on Netflix on your home TV or computer.

You can plan everything yourself and surprise the rest of your family, or you can ask your kids to help you with the planning. The research you do will help you learn a bit about the era you’re highlighting; Plus, getting them involved will go a long way toward getting them into the spirit of things.

Attend a live performance.

In an age where almost anything can be experienced on a television, tablet, or laptop, many children have very little exposure to live theater, dinner theater, and other forms of live entertainment. Taking them to see a dinner show or theater production can prove to be the thrill of a lifetime, and it will also open their eyes to a whole new world of arts and entertainment.

Create a themed family evening.

Surprise your kids by announcing on a Saturday morning that tonight will be about a special theme, like “Medieval Night,” “70s Night,” or “Sports Night.” Tell them they have the day to figure out what they will be wearing tonight, and you can also ask them to research some theme-related fun facts to share with the rest of the group.

When night falls, you can serve themed appetizers or snacks before heading to the main attraction: a themed activity. If it’s “Sports Night,” you could go to a college or professional sports game; if the theme is the 1970s, you can turn the living room into a retro disco. For medieval (or should we say knight?) theme night, you can enter a local tournament game or a medieval re-enactment show.

(Bonus tip: Turn up the fun when you challenge your family to stay in character all night using language, slang, or slang associated with your chosen theme or era.)

Host a family sleepover.

Stack mattresses, blankets and sleeping bags in the living room and get ready for some fun – it’s a slumber party for the whole family! You can make it really authentic when you surprise your kids at the breakfast table with printed party invitations. As for activities, some to consider are ghost stories, prank contests, arts/crafts, watching movies, and board games. Other bells and whistles to consider adding are making popcorn, midnight snacks, making Coke floats, and sleepover pranks.

Inside Tiny Houses – Are you ready?

Mr. Jay Shafer is the genius responsible for coming up with the idea for Tiny Houses! His company, known as Tumbleweed, is part of the tiny house movement. In 2002, he co-founded the Small House Society in Iowa City, Iowa. In 2003, he was commissioned by Gregory Paul Johnson to build The Mobile Hermitage, which became one of Tumbleweed’s first commercially sold homes.

When did Tiny Houses start to flourish?

It turns out that during the Hurricane Katrina disaster in 2005, Marianne Cusato developed 308 square feet. On foot, construction of cabins for homeless victims and small house movements flourished.

Want one? What to do next?

Identify the square footage you will need. Visit local prefabs to get an idea of what their minimum requirement is or rent a Tiny House for a weekend to get an assessment and experience hands-on life inside a Tiny House. Then start thinking and planning the setup and your storage needs. Slowly but surely you will begin to form your image of the interior of your Tiny House.

A prefabricated building of 320 m2. foot is enough to make it comfortable and the transition from large to small very easy. Some even include all appliances and HVAC systems. All you need to do is pay for the building (approximately $35K), plus taxes and transportation. Another alternative is to contact a builder of your choice.

You should also research the state laws and the requirements for these Tiny Houses. A good resource for information is through The American Tiny House Association.

There are several different resources and websites that sell plans, workshops, existing real estate for sale or even rentals. So these small homes have come to stay for a long time and a definitive solution to not pay a mortgage for 30 or 40 years.

Being creative inside tiny houses

Imagine yourself inside a Tiny House and exactly what you expect to feel and be comfortable. Let’s entertain our thoughts right now… think about having enough kitchen cabinets, maybe a pull-out pantry, small stove with oven, enough counter space for food prep, small sink, closets for your bedroom, and where would it accommodate? in your washer/dryer combo, oh…and don’t forget your bathroom essentials. Do you want a loft bedroom or on the same floor? If you have a loft, how are you going to want your ladder? Will you have storage under or inside your ladder? As for your living room area, get creative to save space with a small sofa with drawers or storage below, perhaps a drop-leaf table for dining or working with a laptop, and continue to work on all your ideas by jotting them down. Then, with all your ideas, prepare a design drawing and include measurements.

There are many ideas for small-scale furniture that saves floor space. Sofas with storage drawers, corner desks, floating desks, folding tables with drop leaves, storage chests, Murphy beds, beds that slide out or slide up and down from the ceiling and many more. The truth is, whether inside a Tiny House or not, these are also great space saving ideas for small apartments, small rooms, sunrooms, dorm rooms, guest houses, studios, and even studios. Lots of innovative and creative ideas come to life every day from different sources and all because of the need for them. Very well said by Plato “necessity is the mother of invention”.

Last but not least: a reality check

I recently read an article “Dear People Living in Tiny Houses – Medium” by Lauren Modery where she wrote this article about Tiny Houses and she brought up some stark realities of living inside a Tiny House that weren’t so great, but the truth is that depending on however many square feet your Tiny House purchases, these could be custom made to be very comfortable and efficient. You’ll enjoy many great experiences, such as being able to take off whenever you want to travel, enjoy mortgage freedom, pay very low utilities, and receive lower property tax bills. Without a doubt, a great blessing!

But, in the end, it all comes down to planning wisely ahead by staying within your budget and making sure your expectations are met.

The history of the craft of Pergamano parchment

Pergamano Parchment Craft is a new and popular craft rooted in an art form that dates back nearly two thousand years. Today’s parchment craft projects are delicately beautiful lace designs created using a combination of techniques including embossing, stippling, perforating, cutting, and coloring.

According to historians, the Turks of Bergama, Turkey, invented parchment around AD 500 (Bergama is Latin for Pergamon). The Turks developed parchment as a substitute for papyrus. Due to the ongoing wars, they were unable to import the ingredients needed to make papyrus, a type of paper made from the stems of a plant called sedge. Instead, they created early parchment versions from the skin of a goat or sheep.

Although at first, people used parchment primarily as a surface on which to write, the craft of parchment appeared in Europe in the 15th or 16th century. At the time, parchment craft involved creating lace-like designs on sheets of paper. In those early days of parchment craft, most designs were religious in nature and had significant Catholic overtones. Over time, these traditional techniques evolved into new approaches and new techniques.

The craft of parchment did not spread rapidly during the 15th century, as many forms of card making became mechanized after the invention of the printing press in 1445. However, the craft of parchment experienced a renaissance during the 18th century. At this time, handwork became more intricate and decorative, with the introduction of wavy edges and perforations.

With the advent of French Romanticism in the 19th century, parchment artisans began to incorporate floral themes, cherubs, and portraits. They also added embossing as a technique, resulting in attractive embossed effects with white or gray undertones.

During the 16th century, the parchment craft appeared mainly in Europe. However, at the beginning of the 16th century, European missionaries from monasteries and convents introduced the craft to South American countries, where it flourished among the artisans of religious communities. For example, South American girls receiving their First Communion often received parchment craft items as gifts.

Later, in Columbia, cottage industries sprang up as people began selling handmade greeting cards and invitations on parchment. One such talented Colombian woman, Martha Ospina, moved to the Netherlands in 1986. In 1987, Martha and her partner Tiemen Venema began displaying their intricate cards at events such as flower arranging workshops. The interest grew.

In 1988, Martha created the renowned Pergamano brand, in an effort to make tools and supplies available throughout the world. Today, Pergamao International owns the brand and continues to produce and distribute these products, which now include parchment paper, tools, paints and other dyes, inks, brushes, pens, books, magazines, and DVDs. The Pergamano design group (consisting of Martha and three other artisans) continues to create new designs.

Martha also founded the International Academy of Parchment Crafts, an institution that educates people to become registered Parchment masters.

Made from cellulose or cotton fibers, today’s parchment paper is translucent with a smooth surface and a light gray color. Parchment is also available in various colors and textures.

Although initially parchment was primarily used in the creation of greeting cards, it has many other applications. Today’s artisans make beautiful bookmarks, scrapbook embellishments, gift boxes, gift tags, flowers, lampshades, fans, and other decorations.

parchment scroll craft It is popular mainly in South America and Europe. However, it is also becoming increasingly popular in North America. As paper crafters discover this graceful and beautiful art, many are eager to add it to their repertoire.

The benefits of dollhouses for children

It seems that there are many people who simply think that children’s dollhouses are nothing more than silly toys that children play with. However, while they may be toys, they are toys that come with many different benefits.

One thing that dollhouses for children will do is ensure that children really begin to put their imaginations to work. You might think any old toy could do that, but they’re something special. They allow children to recreate things they have seen and heard at home. You may hear a doll scolding a child for not putting away her toys. If you start listening to the play that takes place with the dollhouse, you may be surprised to recognize much of what is being said. Of course, the child will have the opportunity to take matters into his own hands and play house the way he imagines he would handle his own adult life.

Believe it or not, dollhouses for children also give them the opportunity to learn some socialization skills, both when playing with other children and when playing alone. Even when playing alone with their dollhouses, they learn to express themselves and interact with others by playing certain social instances in their dollhouse.

Also, playing in the dollhouse will help many children to express their thoughts, feelings, worries and happiness. This is easily done because it is not the child’s feelings that are coming out, at least in the child’s eyes, but rather the dolls that are talking. As you can see, there are many great uses for dollhouses. You just have to allow your child to play with it and use it to the best of her ability.

Even if you think your child doesn’t have the best imagination in the world, allowing them to make use of children’s dollhouses is a great idea. And yes, children can play with them too. Perhaps your son wants to play with his sister and could pretend to be the father or son of the house. Also, there are starting to be a lot more dollhouses now that are a bit more gender-neutral than in the past.

Now that you have a little better idea of how great having these can be for your kids, you’ll want to buy one or two. Make sure you take your time and buy the best for your money. Get a quality dollhouse made of sturdy materials so your child can play with it for many years.
