Passion test: how to get divorced and be happy with your ex

Get the keys that help millions unlock the door to an exciting and exciting life and also transcend the typical divorce baggage in the highlights from Part 1 of my radio talk for Lasting Love with Janet Bray Attwood.

Janet is the NY Times best-selling co-author of The Passion Test: Discovering the Effortless Path to Your Destination. She has helped millions of people find the easy and exciting path to the life you love.

Hadley: Passion is the key to your destiny. Let’s help people who want even more love and excitement in life. Let’s help people go from where you are now to where you want to be, reaching the peak of passion, pleasure and performance in life and love.

When you embark on a new journey, you need a new map to guide you. His new map is The Passion Test. It has helped millions of people effortlessly find their way to an exciting, fun, and fulfilling destination. Janet, tell us how you were guided to find an effortless path to your own destination during an early trip to India.

Janet: He guided me down one of my paths, which was interviewing teachers from all over the world. At The Passion Test, we say that when you are clear about what you choose to show in your life, it will, and only to the extent that you are clear about it. That was something that I was very clear about, because it was a great love of mine, since I went to India more than five times.

Hadley: Aren’t you in India now?

Janet: Right now, I’m in Germany with Chris Atwood, my co-author of The Passion Test. He is also my ex-husband, my best friend, and my business partner. I stay with his wife, his wife’s mother, and his two daughters. I am his godmother.

Hadley: It’s amazing how you and Chris can go through a divorce, and end up being loving and friendly business partners, godmother to your ex-husband’s children, and friend to his wife. How did you make that happen?

Janet: The world is the way you are. The world will reflect how you are with yourself. Both Chris and I have practiced TM mediation for many years. That really helped with the transition from getting divorced. We did not go to war with each other. We just realized that the relationship as we knew it was over.

We also knew it was crazy for people who had fallen in love, who had said, “I love you forever” and then just because something goes wrong they decide they can’t see each other again and become mortal enemies. . Chris and I found that crazy.

Here’s someone he loved more than anyone else in the world. Just because they didn’t do things your way or you didn’t do things their way, you think you can’t be in the other’s world. We think: “How sad is that.”

Chris and I also practice Byron Katie’s work.

Hadley: I love your “change procedure”.

Janet. It is a process of undoing limiting beliefs. Byron Katie says that when you are attached to how things should be instead of how things are, you will feel one of three things: pain, separation, and suffering.

Chris and I are strong advocates of consciously loving what is. So don’t let the concepts ruin your world. It is a concept that an ex-wife cannot be the best friend of a new wife. When we allow these concepts to take over our world, our world becomes very small and very limited.

Byron Katie says that until you can say to a loved one walking out the door, “Honey, let me help you pack,” you’re still not there. Love is unconditional when you allow someone to walk the path they need.

Hadley: You make it sound easy, but that was the hardest journey I ever took – getting to the point where I could wish my husband the best after he moved out.

Janet: If you think about it, it’s harder to hold onto your pain, separation, stories about what others have done to you.

Hadley: That pain can be fatal if you don’t release it.

Janet: So walk from the place where there are no victims here. You create your reality. See that every moment is a gift. That sounds trite but true. The Universe is configured so that each moment serves in some way.

Nobody said it was easy. However, it is much more difficult not to be that loving presence and hold on to that pain. You can release it and do it in a way where you come out of your gut that I want for you what you want for yourself. Until you get to that place, it is more painful than not.

Hadley: I agree. It is good to thank your best teachers for giving you the lessons you needed to learn at the time, to see with new eyes.

Janet: And you can use tools like Byron Katie’s work to undo limiting beliefs that will change your life in minutes. Using the passion test is a tool. The reason you wake up dissatisfied with your life is that you are not making decisions about how to do your own inner work, because the world is the way you are. If you are love inside, you attract love.

They are all a reflection of where we are at this moment. So dive into the cracks of the soul and forgive, surrender, appreciate and undo, letting go of the concepts that create terrorism in the mind.

Hadley: You are an inspiration to everyone. How do we find clues about the best way to an exciting and exciting life?

Find out in Part 2, the highlight of my radio talk with Janet Bray Attwood for A Lasting Love.

Fighting Moves: Execute the takedown of the pipe

This article will teach you how to run the pipe effectively in a single leg takedown. It is a more effective fighting move when done correctly. After reading this article, you may want to watch some videos on how to run the pipe because it is easier to learn wrestling techniques through videos than through an article. However, with an article I can explain some small details that many fighters and coaches sometimes overlook.

Startup

To set up a pipe disassembly run, you must first get a single run. Once you have only one leg, you need to make sure that the leg is between your legs. If your opponent puts his leg on the outside, then it is difficult to finish with this ability. In that case, you may want to do a different finish.

The end

So once you have your leg in the air and between your legs, you will want to push the other fighter to push back towards you. As he pushes toward you, pivot the words back. Basically, you pivot on one foot away from the guy. As you ride, you lower your level and try to get her butt on the mat.

I tell my fighters to think of it as a table. If you take one leg out from under the table and then put all the weight on the table on the missing leg, the table will land in that corner.

The same goes for the operation of the pipeline. He has removed one of the legs from the table. Now you have to put all of your opponent’s weight where that leg once was so that it falls to the ground.

Public Speaking: Overcoming Nervousness and Controlling Your Adrenaline Rush

If you can speak, you can improve your public speaking. What is your passion? When giving a presentation, think about how it will lead you to what makes you happy. Perhaps use a story about what you like to do best to describe what you are trying to say. Relate what you are trying to say to something you are passionate about, or perhaps something your audience is passionate about!

Let’s talk about fear!

The Cycle of Fear: How Do We Create It? How do we use it? How do we lose it?

  • Nobody lives without fear. Trying to get rid of all fear is not only exhausting and frustrating, but ultimately deprives you of an important source of motivation and energy. I’ve been a professional keynote speaker for over 10 years and I still feel that adrenaline rush every time I go on stage, but I use that energy to improve my performance. Fear causes most of our stress. If you are not afraid, you are playing too safe or you are out of touch with your feelings … or maybe dead. Something to think about: Heroes and cowards feel the same fear. The only difference is the action they take.

You do it by facing your fear. Don’t be afraid of fear – look the monster in the eye! If you deny it or run from it, it will track you down and torture you in one of its many disguises.

Let’s take a look at the cycle of fear

1. Fear exaggerates everything

  • Imagined consequences: people will leave or I will put them to sleep.
  • They don’t like me: They’ll think I’m an idiot or a hobbyist.
  • They will feel pressured because I am trying to sell them something and not like me.
  • Mad fear destroys confidence.

2. Fear distorts perception

  • You see what you BELIEVE. Your perceptions are based on your belief system. You look in the front row and they all look like the jury that just found you guilty. You see a person looking at their watch and you think NO ONE is interested. Someone made the mistake of not giving anyone a bathroom break for two hours and you see people get up to leave just as YOU start talking.
  • You see imagined obstacles.

3. The physical response

  • The heart is pounding, the mouth is dry, the palms of the hands are sweating.
  • Your larynx tightens, you drop things, and your voice gets loud.

4. The fear response: freezing or frenzy

  • You stop and procrastinate or do bad deeds quickly.
  • You slow down or accelerate and your mind starts racing. Chances are, he says “weird stuff” and then wonders why that came out of his mouth.

5. Thumbs Down: Your Worst Expectations Met

  • In the fog of fear, his performance matches his bad expectations.
  • Its performance is below its real capacity.

So the next time you act, you remember your last time and worry even more. It is not a lack of skill. Fear took control.

How to take advantage of the fear of public speaking

  • Use fear for excitement and energy and channel it into positive action.
  • Fear is a survival tool, not an impediment.
  • Remember that fear tells lies and lies cause failure!

Stage presence: attracting attention

  • Know what you are going to say.
  • Practice makes buffing and polishing money.
  • If you have a stage presence they will forgive you everything else.
  • Do you want to attract attention? Is it important for people to pay attention to you when you speak?
  • What do you think you can do to make people notice you more when you speak?
  • What do you think people see when they look at you? How do you think you sound?
  • Practice talking about your favorite thing.

Practice letting your passion out

  • Don’t be Mr. Meek, Mr. Fake, or Mr. Bored. Be yourself, just BIGGER
  • Finding your voice: Where is it going? Try to speak as loudly as you can and then lower yourself to a natural level.
  • Practice theater-style warm-up exercises, like saying over and over as fast as you can: red-leather-yellow-leather gold you know you need a unique new york
  • Everyone is charming: someone somewhere thinks you are charming (at least your mother).
  • Let’s talk about ourselves: “Enough of me, what do you think of me?”: Remember that no matter how interesting you are, the audience will always be more interested in themselves!
  • Get feedback from practice – ask your friends, family, co-workers, and especially a coach if you have a chance to work with one.

Do you have to be funny?

  • No! You have to be honest. If you really want people to respond to you when you speak, speak with your heart, speak with passion. When you speak passionately, you are much more likely to be funny, charming, and hit an emotional chord. Talk about real things.
  • What’s funny: K-sound words, short stories, self-mocking.
  • Praise people’s ability and honor them, listen and look for the similarities
  • Be yourself! People are attracted to people who are themselves, plain and simple.

Let’s review the specific techniques: Make it happen

  • Never speak with your back to a window.
  • Never speak when people are eating.
  • Get as much information as you can about your audience.
  • Lower your voice to make an important point and look people in the eye.
  • Tell stories that describe your information (true stories are the best).
  • Give wisdom from your point of view.
  • Do your best not to say anything that no one else has said.
  • Repeat the important points: use callbacks.
  • Make good use of natural hand gestures – don’t point at the audience.
  • Remember to channel fear into energy.
  • Enjoy the attention!
  • Every point you make should have three parts: say what you are going to say, say it, and then tell them what you said. Don’t worry if your audience is impressed with you, let them impress you with what they can do with your information.
  • Memorize your introduction: It should include: Your topic, why your topic is important to the audience, and the speaker’s qualifications.
  • Be real, be yourself, tell the truth.

The structure of your speech

  • The first and last 30 seconds of your speech will have the greatest impact.
  • Answer the questions that keep CEOs awake at night: It’s not their job to remind you. What have you done today to be remembered?
  • An introduction is meant to get your attention. Memorize your introduction.
  • Back Ground: What are you going to talk about?
  • Body: Cover 3 points or a central point that everything relates to.
  • Using a point-story-point The format is very efficient.
  • Conclusion: Summarize so they understand where they have been and what they got out of it.

Practice: What do professional speakers do?

  • Hone your skills in front of a mirror, if you have to memorize information, do it one sentence at a time, put yourself in front of a real audience as much as possible to practice in the car.
  • Fear tells lies, but YOU don’t need to. Remember to tell yourself: I am an interesting person and I have good information.
  • Practice makes buffing and polishing money.

Reasons to give someone a personalized bobblehead

How many times have you found yourself in a situation where you struggled to think of the perfect gift to buy from someone you work with, care about, or are in love with? How often have you asked for clues as to what someone would want as a gift only to get the answer: “Just get what you think I will like. I’m sure I will love it.” just to buy the gift and see the look of confusion or disappointment on her face? Nobody wants to buy a gift the recipient won’t enjoy, but how many original gifts are left in a world where anything you can imagine is beyond a computer screen?

Fear not, because there is still at least one original and fun gift in the world, the day the gift is given. After all, how many people can say they have a doll of themselves?

Personalized bobbleheads can also be gifted for important occasions. For example, some couples choose to forgo typical bride and groom decorations for wedding cakes, instead opting to create bobblehead dolls custom to each other to place on their cake. This gives the cake a personal touch that also highlights the wedding guests. Others give their secretaries bobbleheads as a “thank you for all your hard work” gift, or give parents or grandparents bobble head dolls of their own as newlyweds to commemorate a 30th wedding anniversary. Personalized bobble heads also make cool graduation gifts for that hard-to-buy daughter or son.

For those who are puzzled why to buy for their friends, loved ones, and co-workers, consider a custom bobblehead doll. They’re easy to order online, relatively inexpensive depending on the type of custom bobblehead you’re looking for, and when it comes to unique gifts, it won’t do much better than a custom bobblehead.

Did your wife cut you out of her life and leave you in terrible pain? Here is how to get it back

It took you so long to find the woman of your dreams and you were the luckiest man the moment he agreed to marry you. However, marriage is difficult and there are times when the two of you don’t seem to figure things out.

Some men often ask how to win or get their ex-wife back, especially after she has left home. This is tricky, as you can’t just ask for forgiveness and wait for him to come home. There are a few ways you can slowly get your wife back:

Give it the time it needs.

Let your wife have some time alone, without you around. Give him time and space to think things through and to calm down from all the anger. Give her as much time as she needs and be there when she’s ready to talk.

Apologize first, more than anything.

The first thing that should come out of your mouth is that you are sorry. Apologize for everything, especially all the things you’ve both been through lately. Make him realize that you no longer want the yelling or the anger.

One more chance.

You’re lucky if your wife is willing to accept you right away, but if she hesitates, tell her to give you one more chance. This time, don’t miss the opportunity he offered you. Do your best with this opportunity.

Ask him to fix things.

It is not enough that you do all the work. Speak to him with common sense and ask him to try to figure things out on his level. With the two of you working for your marriage, it is impossible for things to continue the same as before.

Swear and be true to that promise.

Give him a list of promises that you will keep with all your heart. When you make a promise, do it seriously. Don’t do it just to get it back.

Court her every day.

No woman will be able to ignore a man who courts her every day. You don’t have to give her gifts and expensive things every day. Just by telling her how much you love her in every moment that you can, she will keep the fire and the love going. You don’t have to be embarrassed if you sound corny.

Be faithful, patient, loving.

In other words, be the person you haven’t been in a long time. These qualities are what an ideal husband possesses. Even if you find it difficult to express them, don’t stop trying every hour of the day until the love you had years ago returns.

Top 20 Four Tops Hits

In the early 1950s, four Detroit high school students performed at a local birthday party. After that, these four students stayed together as one of the biggest R&B groups for more than four decades.

Levi Stubbs (brother of Joe Stubbs from The Falcon and cousin of Jackie Wilson), Abdul “Duke” Fakir, Renaldo “Obie” Benson and Lawrence Payton called themselves The Four Goals.

The Four Aims signed with Chess Records in 1956 and changed their name to The Four Tops, not to be confused with the family pop group, The Ames Brothers.

Recording with four different record labels and without successes, The Four Tops caught the attention of Motown Records executive Berry Gordy Jr. In 1963, they signed with Motown and initially did back-up work for other Motown artists. They can be heard on “Run, Run, Run” by The Supremes.

In 1964, the Holland-Dozier-Holland team of composers presented a melody perfectly suited to the quartet. “Baby I Need Your Loving” became the first of many Billboard top 20 hits.

On the charts, The Four Tops had twenty-five Top 40 hits, two reaching number one. Here’s a look at The Four Tops’ Top Twenty Hits, according to Billboard’s Top 40 Charts:

1. I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) – 1965 – Her biggest single went to number one for two weeks and has been covered by The Supremes, Donnie Elbert (who took it to # 22) and Dolly Parton . It was also used in Kellogg’s Honey Smacks and Duncan Hines brownie mix commercials.

2. Reach Out, I’ll Be There – 1966 – His only other number one song was also the number 3 song of the year 1966.

3. Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got) – 1973 – In 1972, The Four Tops left Motown, when the label moved to Los Angeles, and signed with the ABC / Dunhill label. 12. 7 Rooms Of Gloom – 1967 – Also covered by Blondie and Pat Benetar, the Four Tops didn’t like this song and never played it in concert. Side B, “I’ll Turn to Stone” was also released, but only reached # 76 on the charts.

Four Tops Top 40’s last hit was “Indestructible” in 1988.

P90X Nutrition – My Staples

P90X workouts are tough. But I tell everyone I train that diet, nutrition, and supplements give people the results they want. Workouts make you fit on the inside, your nutrition makes you look fit on the outside.

I didn’t really follow any nutritional plans or recipes provided by Beachbody during my P90X trial. It’s not that I don’t think they’re good, I just didn’t have time. However, I did pay close attention to the calorie ratios Beachbody recommends for Phase 1. Beachbody says that during Phase 1 you should get 50% of your calories from protein, 30% from carbohydrates, and 20% from fat. .

What I did was identify a group of “staples” that I knew by eating and trading on a daily basis would allow me to reach those proportions. I settled on an average of 1900 calories per day for Phase 1 (the first 30 days) and then ate combinations of these “staples”, taking into account my proportions and calories throughout the day. As I approached the end of the day, if my ratios were off, I looked for a food that would result in a positive adjustment.

By the time Phase 2 arrived (mid-30 days), it was being so successful that I was hesitant to change the ratios to 40/40/20, as recommended by Beachbody. So, I decided to keep the 50/30/20 ratios that I had been doing, but add extra calories to further boost my workouts and help me stay anabolic. I averaged 2,400 calories per day during Phase 2.

Finally, when Phase 3 arrived (the last 30 days), instead of switching to 20/60/20 ratios, I went back to Phase 1 ratios and increased my calories. I averaged 3,000 calories per day in Phase 3, always felt strong and energetic and was still losing weight like crazy.

These are the “staples” that I ate and continue to eat today. They are grouped by “category” with corresponding comments below.

meats

Tyson Brand Steak Strips, 6 oz. (280/36/2/12)

Foster Farms Brand Chicken Strips, 6 oz. (240/40/10/4)

Chicken, cold cuts – 8 slices (70/12/3/2)

Turkey, cold cuts – 8 slices (70/13/2/1)

Chicken Burger, 5 oz. empanada (210/21/6/12)

Turkey Burger, 5 oz. pie (200/24/4/8)

Chicken breast, boneless / baked, 8 oz. (165/36/2/2)

Steak, lean flank, 5 oz. (320/35/2/18)

Turkey bacon, 5 slices (100/15 / 0 / 2.5)

These meats were my main source of protein in addition to supplements. If my proportions were lacking in protein, eating something from this list would always be a positive adjustment. Meats are great building blocks for muscle development.

Supplements

Shakeology, 1 packet (140/17/17/1)

Isopure, 1 bottle (160/40/0/0)

Elite 12 Casein Protein, 2 Scoops (258/42/12/4)

I could never have achieved my nutritional goals without supplements. Period. Yes, they can be expensive. But let me tell you that the results you will get are worth whatever monetary price you pay. That’s the truth, people.

Fruits

Apple (Granny Smith), medium

Banana, medium

Strawberries, 1 cup

Pear, medium

Honestly, if you are taking supplements, the fruits become quite insignificant from a nutritional point of view. I basically ate fruits, especially strawberries, for dessert.

Snacks / Miscellaneous

Jerky, 2 oz. (180/20/6/2)

Turkey jerky, 2 oz. (136/20/6/2)

OS Trim stick (ostrich jerky), 1 stick (80/14/2 / 1.5)

Egg (hard, white only), 1 egg (17/4/1/0)

Yoplait Greek Yogurt, 1 cup (130/12/19/0)

Peanut butter, 2 tablespoons (190/7/7/16)

Low-fat cream cheese, 2 tablespoons (80/4/2/6)

Oroweat Whole Grain Sandwich Thins, 1 Fine (100/5/21/1)

100% whole grain English muffin, 1 muffin (150/6/27/2)

Corn tortillas, 2 tortillas (110/3/22 / 2.5)

Chipotle Cheese, 1 slice (80/5/1/6)

Special K Protein Cereal, 1 cup (135/13/19/4)

These are things that you can fit anywhere or mix with other items (eg, peanut butter on an English muffin, etc.). I can make a rich (and healthy!) Steak fajita with corn tortillas, strips of steak, 1/8 cup shredded chipotle cheese, and grilled onions.

Vegetables / Rice

Brown rice, 1 cup (230/5/40/4)

Baked potato, 1 potato (180 / 5.5 / 40/1)

Yam, 1 yam (161/3/39/1)

Broccoli, 1 cup (50/3/8 / 1.5)

Cauliflower, 1 cup (55/3/9 / 1.5)

Carrots, 1 cup (82/2/12/4)

I really learned to like yams while making the P90X. I tried to eat the most “carb heavy” items (yams, potatoes, rice) earlier in the day and then I ranked carb intake by taking the lowest carb items (broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots) later in the day. day.

“Deceptive” foods

Skinny Cow Ice Cream Bar (Mint Truffle), 1 bar (100/3/19/2)

Starbucks Iced Latte (Vanilla Lite), 1 Can (130/9/20 / 2.5)

Rold Gold Pretzel Twists, 1 Bag (110/2/23/1)

Rice Crispy Treat, prepackaged – 1 square (90/1/17 / 2.5)

Welch’s Lime Fruit Bar, Frozen – 1 Bar (80/1/20/0)

Hey, we all need them! You work your butt and you need a little reward. I get it. These are things that I have from time to time that do not cause the “engine to run off the tracks”.

Restaurant items

McDonald’s Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich (plain), 1 sandwich (360/31/49 / 4.5)

Carl’s Jr. Grilled Chicken Sandwich (plain with BBQ sauce), 1 sandwich (380/34/49/7)

Burger King Grilled Tendercrisp Sandwich (plain), 1 sandwich (360/34/48 / 4.5)

Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich (plain), 1 sandwich (420/26/51/13)

Arby’s Large Roast Beef Sandwich with Arby’s Sauce, 1 Sandwich (590/46/45/25)

Panera Bread Smokehouse Turkey Panini, 1 panini (720/53/67/26)

It is inevitable that we end up in fast food places from time to time. I have young children and they want their Happy Meals! I found that the key to eating healthy in places like Mickey D’s was knowing what you would order beforehand. I researched the menus of the places we might frequent and decided what I would get. If you know what you’re going to get before you get there, you’re much less likely to walk away with a cheeseburger, fries, and a milk shake.

Also, watch out for the buns! Buns, especially white flour ones, can be a disaster for a seemingly healthy chicken sandwich. What I would do is take the meat out of the sandwich, toss the bun, and replace it with a thin Oroweat sandwich. Notice the difference: Arby’s Large Roast Beef Sandwich as is: 590 calories, 46 grams of protein, 45 grams of carbohydrates, and 25 grams of fat. Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich with a Thin Oroweat Sandwich: 440 calories, 43 grams of protein, 22 grams of carbohydrates, and 21 grams of fat. Big difference!

So, feel free to read the P90X Nutrition Guide cover to cover. Deploy as much as you like. The above is what worked for me, and I followed it because I found it to be the easiest way to approach my nutrition with a busy lifestyle.
