How to paint your snowboard

If you’re a typical snowboarder, you want to be a little unique and stand out on the slopes. One way to do this is with the snowboarding clothing of your choice. However, another very popular way to do this is to paint your snowboard.

You can do it yourself, if you have the time and patience. Basically, to do a good job, you need to go through four steps: prepare the board, prime it, paint it, and seal it.

However, to start with, you will need a good working area. There are advantages to painting both indoors and outdoors. If you have an indoor work area, make sure the ventilation system is good enough to exhaust paint fumes from the area. If your work area is located outdoors, your main concern will be finding a windless area where there are little or no drafts so they won’t interfere with your paint job.

To ensure that the board is clean, wipe any dirt from the surface to be painted with a clean, damp cloth. You will also want to remove any wax buildup. Any good wax remover from your local hardware or grocery store should do the job. Then you want to roughen the surface of the board with fine sandpaper. This will prepare it to receive the primer coat. And finally, cover the joint holes with cotton swabs to prevent paint or primer from clogging them.

Once the prep work is done, priming is relatively easy. just spray it according to the directions on the spray can. Basically though, you want to avoid over-priming the board. So instead of trying to do everything in one pass, if necessary, make several light passes until you’ve covered the board well. The important thing is to keep the spray can moving so you don’t get the primer pooling in spots. Then let the primer dry.

When painting the snowboard, lay down the ground colors first, again using several light coats, if necessary rather than one heavy coat. When you’re happy with the density and colors of the background, you can use stencils to apply any design or logo to the board.

The penultimate step is to seal the board with a clear coat. This is usually a multi-step process, as you’ll want to apply three or four coats to the board.

Finally, to give your dash that nice glossy finish, get some rubbing compound at your local auto supply store and give the surface a good polish.

The dangers of wearing a sauna suit: fact or fiction?

The biggest lie ever told

For years we’ve all heard all the dire warnings repeated over and over again about how sweating in a sauna suit can cause death, sweating will dehydrate the body, likely cause a heart attack, increases the chances of fainting, and in general, it is not healthy! Afraid of sweating? Do not be! The question to ask yourself is: Is this fact or fiction?

The problem with this type of warning is that as “thinking” people, we have never taken the time to stop and “think” to ask the so-called experts, WHY? Why is it dangerous to sweat in a sauna suit? Sure we’ve heard the same run-of-the-mill information repeated over and over again, but have you ever bothered to investigate the effects of sweating yourself? My wild guess is, probably not! Because like most people, you tend to go with the majority. It’s that human nature thing about all of us, where we want and need to fit in with the “crowd” because we want to be accepted. After all, if some doctor or “expert” tells you something like “sweating is bad for your health”, you believe it. But remember this, what is the general warning about doctors and experts? To always have a second and third opinion, right? Good!

The health benefits of sweating

According to Dr. Jacquline Krohn (2000) “Our bodies are like sponges that absorb the chemicals we are exposed to. Much of that toxic concoction is shed through the skin in sweat. In fact, sweat often has a higher concentration of trace elements such as nickel, cadmium, and mercury than urine.”

What you may not have heard is that most people sweat when they exercise or exert themselves, and this type of sweating is natural and healthy (Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research 2009).

The cause of sweating comes from your body’s temperature regulation system, specifically your sweat glands. Your skin has two types of sweat puffs: eccrine puffs and apocrine puffs. Eccrine tassels are found over most of their body, opening directly above the skin surface. Apocrine glands also cover most of your body and develop in areas where hair follicles are abundant, such as the scalp, armpits, and groin (Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research 2009).

When your body temperature rises, your autonomic nervous system stimulates your eccrine glands to secrete fluid onto the surface of your skin, where it cools your body as it evaporates. This fluid (sweat) is composed mainly of water and salt (sodium chloride) and contains trace amounts of other electrolytes; substances that help regulate fluid balance in your body, as well as substances such as urea (a nitrogenous compound found in urine produced through the breakdown of protein or toxins). Source: Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research 2009.

What does this all mean? IF YOU SWEAT YOU LOSE WEIGHT!

The myth exposed!

So if sweating is so natural and healthy for you, why is everyone always advising against sweating in a sauna suit?

Because some people may abuse a great modern invention like the sauna suit and try to lose all their weight in one day by wearing a sauna suit for too long. Admit it, you know some crazy people who think they can put on a sauna suit for 24 hours and sweat out ten years of bad eating habits. This is the dangerous part of sauna suits, ignorant people also have money to buy them; unfortunately there is no law against a jerk buying a sauna suit.

Lack of basic intelligence and inability to use common sense is the biggest danger factor, not the sauna suit itself.

Big question: How do I know I’m dehydrated if I’m not a doctor?

simple answer: Do you need a doctor to tell you when you are thirsty? NO. Your body has a natural alarm that alerts you when you’re dehydrated: IT MAKES YOU THIRSTY! When you feel thirsty, drink water or an isotonic drink. By drinking water or sports drinks, you prevent dehydration. Remember, it is recommended that you drink up to 8-8 oz glasses of water a day for good health.

Sauna suits are great for sweating out toxins from the body and for losing weight, and not just water weight. Sauna suits are basically designed to duplicate the same effects that you would get from sitting in a sauna at the health spa.

The advantages of the sauna suit is that it’s convenient, you don’t have to spend an hour sitting in a steamy sauna exposing all your personal issues to some ugly guy or eccentric girl who forgot to shave or who smells like rotten feet. yuck! Admit it; there is absolutely no privacy in a public sauna.

In a personal sauna suit, you can get moving and do fun things like walking the dog, cleaning your house, running around the block, reading a book while walking on your treadmill, roller blading, dancing, window shopping at the local mall and! the list of fun activities goes on! At the end of your activity in your sauna suit, you can reap the benefits of seeing how much dirt, grease, salt, toxins, and weight you have excreted while having fun. The only downside to sauna suits is that they look like garbage bags because they are made of cheap plastic that usually rips and tears after a few uses. Hopefully one day someone will make a half-decent looking sauna suit. But in the meantime, any sauna suit on the market will do.

How cool is that? Weight loss can be really fun!

You’ve heard the saying, “There’s nothing like a good sweat!”

Common sense:

The sauna suit is just like any other exercise or gym equipment. Please use with caution and do not overdo it! If you know you have certain health problems or physical limitations, check with your doctor first. If you do not have health problems or limitations, consult your doctor. If it’s 115 degrees F outside, you naturally wouldn’t put on a sauna suit and go for a run, that would just be stupid! Again, use your common sense people! If your doctor says it’s okay to exercise, then it should be okay to exercise in a sauna suit. That sounds logical, right?

After all, you want to speed up and take advantage of the body’s natural fat-burning process, aka: SWEAT!

Many people who call themselves experts will tell you that working out in a sauna suit will only make you lose weight; that once you rehydrate your body by drinking water and sports drinks, all the weight will come back.

This is where I want you to start using your own brain to process information. I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you to use your own common sense, critical thinking skills, and ability to think logically for a moment.

If you go to the gym and work out, sweat a lot, lose weight, drink water and sports drinks to rehydrate, and then go home or go out with friends and have a nice, sensible dinner.

Does that mean all your training results are null and void? NO.

Does that mean that because you drank some water that is ZERO CALORIE, you have regained the five pounds of fat you lost? NO!

Has your doctor ever told you that once you start an exercise program, you shouldn’t drink water or eat food because you’ll only gain the weight back? NO!

They tell you to eat healthy, drink lots of water and stay active!

Are you supposed to go hungry and thirsty because you exercise and care about your health?

Of course not!

things to remember

When someone tells you the same old lie that you only lose water weight by wearing a sauna suit, I give you permission to ignore them! They are lying to you!

The 2lbs of fat you burned working out in a sauna suit won’t come back after drinking water!

Food is what makes you gain weight because it has fat and other energy-generating nutrients. The energy from the food you eat is what gives you the strength to move and burn calories from fat; if you don’t exercise and sweat well, you’re not using food for energy and therefore not burning fat!

When you work your body out in a sauna suit, you speed up your metabolism and burn calories from fat, not water!

Makes sense???

Most people sweat when they exercise or exert themselves, and this type of sweating is natural and healthy (Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research 2009).

  • Sauna suits are great for sweating out toxins from the body and for losing weight, and not just water weight.
  • A sauna suit will help you burn fat by heating up the body and speeding up your metabolism!
  • Fat loss will be permanent if you are consistent with your exercise routine using a sauna suit

The Life of Lord Byron by John Galt

John Galt published his Life of Lord Byron in 1830, just six years after the poet’s death in Missolonghi, in what is now modern Greece and then part of the Ottoman Empire. Byron had been taking him around the Mediterranean for several years, his entourage much bigger than a backpack. Modern readers will need to readjust his travel ideas when they read the details of the real caravan that accompanied the Good Lord and then will immediately understand why wherever he went he was immediately able to access elite society. In modern terms, this is like a billionaire dot com owner moving into the local property that in feudal times used to own the town. His presence, it seemed, demanded attention. Having said that, he was always short of money.

Apart from the occasional vocabulary we no longer recognize, John Galt’s work is easy to read, remarkably modern in tenor, except on matters of race and religion, where a modern interpretation might be confusing. It is important to understand the assumptions of these people to understand their work. Yes, Wagner was an anti-Semite, but wasn’t everyone else at the time? To reject his work on that basis would lead to an equal rejection of other people and institutions that held the same beliefs, which would automatically include anything to do with Christianity and most writers. Two centuries ago, people did not see the world in the same way and it is through his eyes, not ours, that his work must be seen.

Paradoxically, Lord Byron was perceived as a liberal which, at the time, must have placed him in sympathy with at least some of the goals of the French Revolution. This is interesting, given the title of it, but understandable given the relative scarcity of it. He supported the Luddites in Britain, but his internal political life in the House of Lords was not easy and he was not elected or perhaps fit for a life in public affairs. His identification with liberal politics is exemplified in this passage from Galt, though it should be noted that at the time liberalism did not extend much to the realm of gender relations (a cicisbee is a lover, by the way).

but young Italians are not satisfied with the good old men, and the venerable count did not object to her making use of the privileges of her country to choose a cicisbeo; an Italian would have made it quite agreeable: indeed, for a time he winked at our intimacy, but finally he made an exception against me, as a foreigner, a heretic, an Englishman, and worst of all, a liberal.”

However, his liberalism extended to support for liberation movements, particularly those in Greece, where he is still seen by some today as a national hero. That’s not to say that he was particularly fond of people.

Do you know, he said to the doctor, that I am almost reconciled with Saint Paul, because he says that there is no difference between Jews and Greeks, and I am of exactly the same opinion, because the character of both is different. equally vile”.

The meaning of Wagner’s earlier reference to antisemitism now becomes clear. Perhaps we should reject much of the romantic poetry in the canon if we deny Wagner a place. What would be left? Answer – very little…

So what was it that Byron saw worthy of fighting and sacrificing to free people he had little respect for? The key, which becomes clearer as Galt’s biography progresses, is that Byron, like other romantics, had an inner motivation, a personal interpretation whose vivid emotion perhaps raised a screen to obscure, even contradict, the experience. His response to reality, it seems, stems not directly from the real, but from an idealized knowledge, perhaps preformed through education, birthright, and culture, that was more important, at least to the poet, than the compelling evidence. that could be discarded or ignored. Galt sums up the process like this.

“That is another proof, and also conclusive, of what I have endeavored to show, that the power of the poet consisted in giving free rein to his own feelings, and not, like his great brothers, or even the minor ones, in the invention of appropriate situations or feelings”

The author describes how Byron was ambivalent towards the reality of the classical sites, without showing much interest in archeology or history. Perhaps, through his education in the English public school, he was By the way with details all the time, so he didn’t need to absorb direct experience. Perhaps the assumptions of his social class and culture did not admit the contradiction of an already internalized ideal that was simply more important than any concrete reality.

Galt’s account of Byron’s life, however, seems lacking in evidence for the hours the poet spent writing. Given that he died in his late thirties, he spent eight years traveling and did fifteen years in the House of Lords and several years in education, one would expect to find him working with pencil and paper most of the time. . But Galt offers little evidence for this, preferring to concentrate on the trips themselves, the people he met, and the consequences of the complete breakdown of his family and marital relationships. But Galt quotes extensively from the poems which, once we absorb the author’s analysis that the work rarely describes anything more than the poet’s own emotional state, become clear statements of personality. One feels that Lord Byron was not given to much self-analysis or soul-searching. He had his opinions, and those were made of granite.

He campaigned for the independence of Greece and did a lot to achieve what the Greek people wanted at the time. But one feels that for Byron he was working towards the reestablishment of a classical ideal, a quintessential democracy that existed longer in school textbooks than in ancient Greece. Perhaps “liberal” is too strong a word for Byron… Perhaps “libertarian” would be closer to the modern equivalent. He was in favor of individual liberty, what he saw as the natural order and more democracy, although this probably did not include women or the lower classes.

How far we have progressed in the last two hundred years can be judged by the fact that Byron secured both personal fame and office prestige in his own time with certain personal characteristics. He went to public school and Oxbridge, studied ancient Greek, achieved political status and public fame while largely ignorant of the scientific advances of his day, was a libertarian, and had various failures in both personal and family relationships. It couldn’t happen now, right?

tell the future

Since time immemorial, humanity has tried to gain advanced knowledge of things to come. The Old Testament of the Bible has numerous books of prophecy, although strangely many Christian fundamentalists now denounce fortune telling as a sin. Today many of us consult psychics, hoping to catch a glimpse of what tomorrow holds. Popular newspapers and magazines invariably feature a horoscope column, and who wouldn’t want a sneak peek of next week’s winning lottery numbers?

Does the future already exist?

Is it really possible to predict the future? To answer that question we need to examine the fundamental nature of reality.

Suppose we can really predict the future with certainty. Our first reaction may be excitement and joy. Those winning lottery numbers are out there somewhere, ready for the taking.

But let’s think again. This means that the future already exists, and our existence is a bit like being in a (ready-made) movie. What we perceive now is simply the frame that is currently being projected on the screen. But tomorrow, the day after, next week, next year, and so on, until the end of the universe, they’re already in the can. Nothing we say, think, feel, or do really matters one iota. We are powerless puppets enslaved within an inflexible and inescapable destiny.

Wouldn’t that be a nightmare?

Fortunately, I don’t believe that the true nature of reality is that of a fixed destiny. Despite the fact that the world appears to be ordered and to obey the laws of cause and effect, science has discovered that, at its most fundamental level, the physical world is anything but orderly, and every basic particle appears to behave randomly. Usually, because we observe millions of these tiny particles acting together, their individual randomness is averaged out and we perceive the illusion of order.

Examples of precognition

Having concluded that the future does not exist, it follows that it cannot be predicted. Yet history is literate with examples of seemingly amazing precognition. Here are a few:

In 1966, a coal waste landslide at a school in Aberfan, Wales, killed 28 adults and 116 children. Many people reported premonitions of the disaster, including a child victim who told her mother of a dream the night before in which something black fell on the school.

In the classic book “An Experiment with Time”, the engineer JW Dunne reports that numerous minor details were predicted in his dreams.

A study by WE Cox on train ridership found that significantly fewer people were traveling on trains involved in accidents.

And my personal experience:

One Saturday when I was about ten years old, I convinced myself that I would win the soccer pools (a weekly betting game based on soccer results). Throughout the day I repeated my belief to my family. Checking the soccer results, I found that I had won a minor dividend, an event of just under 2% chance. I have never felt such conviction before or since.

Can psychics and mediums predict the future?

In reality, we can all predict the future to some degree, simply based on our general understanding and knowledge of present conditions. If Manchester United (a major English soccer team) plays a non-league team, we can reasonably predict that United will win easily. And most likely we are right.

We should also note the possibility of the self-fulfilling prophecy. When we consciously and/or subconsciously believe that something will happen, we create the present conditions that increase its probability.

Psychics and mediums, by virtue of their contact with the spirit world, have access to more information about the present than is generally known through purely physical/sensory means.

Perhaps they can detect internal conflict in a soccer team, but a much greater sense of purpose and harmony in their equally matched opponents. So the psychic has an advantage in predicting the outcome of a match between the two, but could still be wrong.

Similarly, in premonitions of disaster, some sensitives may notice a loose bolt in the wing of an airplane, or “see” a terrorist making a bomb in some dark basement. His own higher self only has to extrapolate to create images of doom, but of course the plane may survive its journey without incident, or the terrorist may be thwarted in his attempt to carry out his gruesome act.

According to this model, mediums and psychics cannot predict the future with 100% certainty, but they can predict with significantly greater accuracy than is suggested by the laws of probability.

Sports teams: handicap for the everyday bettor

Four very important areas to focus on when betting on NFL games.

1. NFL Parity – The NFL focuses each year on parity between the teams. On any given weekend, any team can win. Why not score some points with your selections?

2. A win is a win: Unlike college football, most teams (except New England) don’t try to run up the scoring in games. A large percentage of the lines are covered by teams that close the gaps at the end of games. There is no voter poll to impress.

3. No Respect – Obviously, Las Vegas is well aware of the favorite betting trend. It is always the same concept, if I had to bet my mortgage I would take Pittsburgh -7.5. Your average punter can’t help but pick the favorite, but the pros know how to scout the underdog.

4. The difference in points matters less than you think. Historically, point spread matters in the NFL only about 16% of the time. In other words, 84% of the time, the team that covers the spread also wins. If you combine this with a lot of research, you can really find some great advantages in the NFL.

When you combine these four very important principles in professional football betting, you’ll see why underdogs are often a very good play. The idea is to be able to find big advantages on underdogs on a consistent basis.

Obviously, he’ll like to incorporate a mix of favorites and underdogs into his picks on a weekly basis. However, good research and good stats will usually find more advantages on underdogs with great potential.

In the NFL, home dogs that have solid defenses and the ability to rush the ball will simply find ways to throw down the line. If you can find where the audience is in your bets, simply following the line moves will reveal some strong underdogs. You know you’ve become a very effective handicap when you check your line sheet Monday morning and can pick games before the lines jump. When the lines move your way, you are what the public considers Sharp Money.

Effective sports betting incorporates the ability to fade the crowd, understanding cheating, the courage to take on weak teams in strange situations, calculating important statistics and trends, and our personal favorite, knowing what’s going on inside the locker room.

10 good and bad features of the new Tecno Camon X Pro

For those who rushed to grab the Tecno Camon X upon its release, a number of things may be on their minds right now. More storage space? A higher resolution screen and aspect ratio? These and many more come with the phone that was launched in 2018 along with the Tecno Camon X, Yes! I’m talking about the Tecno Camon X Pro.

This phone hit the stores at the same time as the Tecno Camon X, which is a lower variant and is worthy of being called the “deal breaker” as it boasts even more upgrades than the Camon X.

The Camon X Pro, a sequel to the Camon CX, comes in Bordeaux Red and Midnight Black, houses Face ID, 1080 x 2160 pixel display, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal memory (ROM) and many others is what I call Tecno’s best smartphone on the market.

In this review, I would be highlighting 10 new features of the Tecno Camon X Pro and the hiccups, those features that we hate.

Screen Tecno Camon X Pro

  1. Camon X Pro comes with a 6.0-inch IPS screen with Gorilla Glass 4. A screen built to withstand, which is not lacking in the display, since it has an aspect ratio of 18.9 and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. . HD graphics! A big step forward for gamers and movie lovers.
  2. Sunlight readability with brightness level up to 500 nits. Which means you can enjoy interaction with your phone screen, in sunlight, in the dark, at any time of the day.

Tecno Camon X Pro Camera

  1. A mind-blowing 24-megapixel front-facing camera with f/20 aperture and dual LEDs has HDR capabilities and AI beauty; where installed algorithms get to work to beautify your images.
  2. A rear camera with a 16-megapixel sensor and an f/20 aperture that guarantees great photos as it has a faster focus than its predecessors. Capable of delivering quality photos in good and even bad lighting conditions with its four-LED flash.

Note: However, I’d like to point out that the Camon X Pro doesn’t have a really great camera, I mean it’s perfect for low light, as much as we’d expect. The front camera isn’t as good as the Camon CX, and I wouldn’t have done the upgrade if the camera was my thing.

I was hoping that with the huge 24 MP front camera we would get something excellent, but what we got was far below average. It’s even worse when you’re trying to take pictures at night. So here is my HONEST take on the camera, I hope you can make an informed decision after reading this.

Tecno Camon X Pro Hardware

  1. Inside the Camon X Pro is MediaTek’s system on a chip; Helio P23 octa-core, which is more powerful than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430. A processor that is based on a 64-bit architecture that gathers eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores that has an integrated MP3 Mali-G71 graphics processor that runs at 770 MHz.
  2. More speed and more storage for hoarders; The Camon X Pro features 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory (ROM) with an SD card slot, plus expandable storage space.
  3. On the back of the phone is the Camon X Pros fingerprint sensor, which is much faster than the one on the Phantom 8. This more accurate fingerprint sensor is built in a way that allows for better finger placement.

Tecno Camon X Pro Software

  1. The new Android Oreo 8.1 layered HiOS V3.3 keeps the Camon X Pro in sync with all other smartphones running Android OS, and it doesn’t seem to be getting old anytime soon as you can upgrade to the next OS version when that comes around. moment. .
  2. The Camon X Pro takes security one step further with Face ID. By taking a detailed map of your face, Face ID is much faster compared to Iris scanner, giving you the option to unlock the phone just by looking at the Camon X Pro’s front camera.

Tecno Camon X Pro Battery

  1. Its battery, with a capacity of 3750 mAh, would keep your phone awake with 4-5 hours of screen time.

Just as there are a number of notable things to expect in the Camon X Pro, here are a number of things to you can not like:

  • With the mid-range Adreno GPUs built on Qualcomm chips, be sure to expect some hiccups while gaming due to its graphics chip.
  • Some apps found in HiOS really could have been removed, they just sit there redundant. I mean, who needs an app for something you can access in the settings menu?
  • Without optical image stabilization (OIS) and professional mode, the camera doesn’t seem as limitless as you might expect.

our verdict

The Tecno Camon X Pro, Tecno’s best Camon to date, boasting non-stop performance, decent battery life and plenty of camera power – the main feature the Camon series is known for. This is a phone you won’t want to replace anytime soon, hopefully until Tecno releases another. Not a disappointment, but rather a statement of maturity from Chinese OEMs.

Why you should start protecting your intellectual property even as a new business owner

Startups and business owners often find themselves caught up in the day-to-day running of the business. From the perspective of new business owners, especially business owners in the training, speaking, and coaching areas, landing the next deal, creating new programs, and paying the bills always seems to take center stage.

If you are a new business owner, or if you are new to the speaking, training and coaching industry, this article is written especially for you. It’s vital to take a moment to consider how important intellectual property, despite whatever other priorities you may have at the moment, to protecting your intellectual property could potentially make or break your business. You can do this by registering trademarks for your brands, logos, and code names; copyright of your training materials, syllabi and books; or by creating a patent for any invention, device or prototype you have.

Let me convince you why you should be involved in intellectual property protection, especially at the start of your business.

Reason #1: Protecting your intellectual property helps you avoid future costs and problems

By protecting your rights to the content and materials you’ve created, you essentially minimize any opportunity that others (especially your competitors) may claim your intellectual treasures in the future. For example, if you have registered your logo as a trademark, and in the future, when your business is booming, your future competitors will know that they will be legally disadvantaged if they directly copy your trademarks. This thus creates a barrier to prevent them from doing so. And in the event that they still decided to copy your trademarks, the legal directives are in your favor.

Reason #2: You can monetize your intellectual property

By creating a treasure trove of copyrighted materials, with a reputable brand protected by trademarks, you can monetize these intangible assets by selling the business in the future or by raising capital from investors from expanding the business.

Reason #3: It can solidify your brand

Ultimately, your trademarks and copyrighted materials represent the competitive advantage your business has over your competitors. By protecting them, you reduce the chances that others can claim the intellectual assets that are truly yours. Therefore, your competitors will have to innovate and work harder to produce something better if they ever want to diminish the market power of your intellectual properties.

Here are the three big reasons why you should consider protecting your intellectual property, even if you’re just a new business owner. The long-term benefits of doing so are plentiful, and you may very well be building the next multi-million dollar IP business!

Transitional Style Interiors – Sophisticated Mogul

Transitional interiors have the best of both worlds: traditional and contemporary. Staying within the familiar realm of tradition but making it lively with fresh new ideas. The traditional architecture and designs have a beautiful appeal and when refreshed, stand out as even more classic. An updated historic home carries its character but contemporary furnishings give it a modern twist.

Taking inspiration from the past, it is really about the old architectural design, the terrace arches and old doors with beautiful authentic carved details. Handcrafted in dark woods, the patina plays perfectly with neutral walls where you can display contemporary art. Pale blue carved cabinets, green floral wardrobe cabinets, muted red chests filter colors into the interiors. Bring in tone-on-tone furnishings, like the rusty wood-accented cabinets or the distressed white console table, minimizing the dramatic angle.

Burnished brass with soft, warm undertones accentuates the wood patinas of the cabinets. A huge floor mirror made from an old architectural door frame provides a focal point in the living room. Crystal chandeliers nicely complement traditional elegance. Symmetry is essential to keep the room balanced and in harmony. The huge TV screen is balanced by 2 arches on each side that have been converted into bookshelves. The damask fabric on the sofa adds punch without making it too contemporary. Quirky silhouettes, traditional weaves, and ornate textiles draw attention to the walls. Carved Tree of Life wall panels accented by simple straight drapes that barely skim the floor, clean uncluttered lines, too much fabric gives a cluttered effect.

Globally inspired carvings and sculptures collected by you on your travels are displayed on the walls with accent lighting that focuses on your unique artistic detail. Broadleaf ferns and green foliage play off the dark patina of the wood and neutral walls beautifully. The whitewashed antique screen with iron work adds interest to the simply furnished living room. The turquoise coffee table adds a pop of color, muted but brings life to the room. The vivid textures and weaves of the handloomed cotton blankets add interest while keeping the style contemporary.

The bedroom with a simple upholstered bed has a unique handmade armoire with beautiful crown molding and muted patina, in perfect balance with the vintage media console. A few select pieces give the room a feeling of refined elegance. Harmony and balance between traditional design and modern style, interiors that focus on comfort and style, transitional interiors convey a classic atmosphere of sophisticated elegance.
