It is time to drive the enemy out of our homes and the lives of our families. My wife and I recently purchased an 85 year old Victorian home in Stephenville, Texas. We call it Vanderbilt Place and run it as a guest house. On New Year’s Eve 2005, together with some friends, we prayed the blessing of the house. It made a huge difference not only in keeping the place busy, but also in the quality of tenants we attracted from that day on.

Later, after sharing this experience with a friend, a local businesswoman asked if we would pray with her for her business. Once we prayed, not only did productivity skyrocket, but the strong ungodly element dropped dramatically, beginning with the manager’s resignation several months later.

In this message, I didn’t want to get too ritualistic, thus possibly inviting some other religious demon. Consider this a model; feel free to customize it for your needs. So I’m keeping it simple and duplicable so others can bless YOUR home…people just like YOU! Don’t wait for Sunday to do something spiritual…we are the Church, NOT the buildings! Don’t wait for a minister either… you ARE one according to the Scriptures.

In America today, we tend to yell about social problems and throw money at our problems. We also point fingers a lot. What I am proposing is that, house by house, American Christians must take back what the enemy has stolen from us. Starting today! As they say, if you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.

Single parents, grandparents, college students alone in their dorm, apartment dwellers AND apartment managers or property owners: if you are a Christian, you have the authority to take dominion over your place of residence. Don’t delay. He gathers some friends and a bottle of virgin olive oil from the kitchen and begins praying and anointing as the Spirit guides him…first his place, then THEIRS! There is power in the deal, so regardless of what you call it, go for it! If you like, have Communion afterwards or sing some hymns. This is what we are doing. Do the same and be blessed!

1) TAKE AUTHORITY OVER THE SPIRITS THAT HAVE BEEN WELCOME THROUGHOUT THE HOME’S HISTORY – LEAVE THE DOORS OPEN FOR THEIR ESCAPE. The Bible declares: “Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee.” Here is a sentence you can start with:

In the Name of Jesus our Messiah, and by the power of His Blood and His Cross, and the Holy Ghost that raised Him from the dead and now dwells within us, we bind all spirits in the air, and the fire and the water, in the earth and underground and the lower world, and we bind any satanic forces of nature that have been assigned to this abode. You won’t steal from us anymore! In fact, you will pay us seven times, according to Eph 4,28. “When the thief is caught, he must pay seven times.” That includes seven times the time, energy, money, health, and anything else stolen from God’s children.

We break all generational and verbal curses, hexes or spells, or any witchcraft or occult activity that has been invited into this house, on purpose or by accident, throughout past generations.

We tie the interaction and play of demonic spirits within these walls. And we claim the protection of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ over this house and its grounds, and over anyone who spends a moment on this property. May they receive God’s blessing!

We cry out to you, Holy Spirit. Come now and fill this place, never to leave! We ask this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

1. The Bible teaches us that a home is much more than a physical building.

2. We need God’s presence, power, and direction for our lives and homes to be fruitful.

Unless the Lord builds the house,

3. The Bible indicates that it is important to dedicate our homes to God. Before going into battle, the men of the Bible were warned to dedicate their homes!

Deuteronomy 20:5

Then the bailiffs will speak to the people, saying: ‘What man is there that has built a new house and has not consecrated it? Let him return to his house, lest he die in battle and another dedicate it.

4. God told his people to write his word on the door frames of their houses.

Many Jews today place a portion of God’s Word on a parchment scroll in a container on the doorposts of their homes. They play the scroll every time they enter or leave to remind them that their homes belong to God and that what happens there must be directed by the Word of God.

And these words that I am commanding you today will be on your heart and you will diligently teach them to your children, and you will speak of them when you sit at home, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you get up. And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as fronts between your eyes.

And you will write them on the posts of your house and on your doors.

5. When a person dedicates his house to God, we trust that God responds to his commitment. When Solomon dedicated the temple, God responded by speaking to him.

Now my eyes will be open [says the Lord] and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
Because now I have chosen and consecrated this house so that my name will be there forever; my eyes and my heart will be there forever.

6. When the people of the early Christian movement came together to teach and preach about Jesus, and to pray in the power of the Spirit, they often met in homes. Even today, there is a growing movement throughout the Western world, something our third world brethren have been doing for decades: meeting in homes or anywhere the Spirit leads.

In 1989, Reinhold Bogner revolutionized the guitar amplifier after moving to the United States from Germany. It was during this time that the external multi-channel preamp configuration was widely used and Bogner seemed dissatisfied with the performance of it, wanting to return to the sound of real, powered tube amps. It may have been his meeting with guitar legend Eddie Van Halen that was the catalyst for his explosion on the music scene, as Eddie hired him to overhaul his original Marshall Plexi.

Bogner Ecstasy 100

In 1992, external multichannel preamps dominated the guitar amp market. This type of setup was widely used because various sound effects could be easily achieved.
