Celebrity Spas – Be a Celebrity!

Any celebrity worth their weight at an Academy Award knows that their camera-ready close-ups are only as good as the pampering, polishing, grooming, and blasting treatments they receive to tone down those tiny crow’s feet and firm their butt. And where do celebrities go to maintain their flawless beauty? To the most exclusive spas, of course, where they are happy to spend a lot of money in search of cutting-edge beauty treatments.

According to Forbes Traveler, famous beauty expert Ole Henriksen treats stars like Charlize Theron, Prince, Cher, and Renee Zellweger at his Ole Henriksen Face / Body Spa on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Their spa treatment menu reads like a delicious dessert / cocktail menu: African red tea body cocktail, cucumber-honey-milk-face / full body and salty butter – mango scrub. The spa’s 8-step anti-gravity complexion treatment is recommended for those who need to lift, firm, reduce wrinkles and reshape. In other words, it is a must have for anyone within 10 feet of a movie camera.

And all that camera work, makeup, hot lights, and travel can wreak havoc on A-list skin. Celebrities like Paris Felicity Huffman and Jessica Alba turn to Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts in Los Angeles as they battle breakouts. One of the first of its kind, this medi-spa and nutrition center is named after its owner, who set up a bungalow tent along Melrose Place. The Somerville $ 250 DermalQuench Facial pumps oxygen, essential mineral vitamins and hydraluronic serum to the skin using hyperbaric pressure.

In San Francisco, Spa Radiance introduces its glamorous Gold Mineral Wrap, which uses a shimmering golden serum to create supple, supple skin. Celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ashley Judd love being pampered here. Sharon Stone reportedly spent $ 750 on the Spa Radiance Grand Luxe treatment, a combination of all the facials available at this beauty retreat.

Miami Beach is decadent, but what could be more decadent than the Evian Experience at Spa V at the Victor Hotel? For $ 5,000, guests can experience a treatment that includes a soak in an infinite hydrotherapy tub filled with Evian water, followed by two hours of spa services and a chef-prepared meal with a chilled bottle of Krug Cuvee Champagne. It certainly wasn’t too lenient for pro tennis player Serena Williams, who participated in this South Beach hot spot. Other guests on the spa’s A-list include Shaquille O’Neil and Gabrielle Union.

Under the care of Sonya Dakar, considered the “Fairy Skin Mother” of Hollywood, no skin is too sallow. Consider the flawless glow of Gwyneth Paltrow or Drew Barrymore, who have long benefited from this Beverly Hills facialist. Her Beauty Boot Camp produces flawless results when addressing issues of diet, lifestyle, and skin care regimens. At the posh Sonya Dakar Skin Clinic, celebrities also treat themselves to LED light therapy, diamond peels, and oxygen treatments.

Private cars line the streets outside Sava Spa, owned by famed esthetician Joanna Czech, who welcomes the likes of Uma Thurman, Kate Winslet and Christy Turlington to her spa in upper Manhattan. Celebrities flock to her services for amazing eyebrow shaping and facial services. Czech’s fabulous $ 350 Ultimate Facial includes two hours of pampering, while the Ren Facial is an English treatment that clients can enjoy in the United States.

If Jennifer Lopez raves about the Spa at Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cobos, Mexico, it’s surely good enough for just about anyone. The Mexican resort offers guests spiritual comfort through its Holistic Crystal Light Healing massage. Or for the true star treatment, guests can indulge in a spa treatment to suit their whims, along with private butlers in the luxurious spa suites.

Finally, Parrot Cay, the wedding site of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, is also home to COMO Shambhala, a private retreat for those seeking rejuvenation through spa treatments, yoga, and meditation. Yoga teachers from around the world gather in this peaceful retreat for retreats. The spa’s favorite spot is the yoga pavilion that overlooks the island’s wetlands.

What do they do with the striped baseballs?

Have you ever noticed while watching an MLB game, any pitch that hits the ground, the catcher will automatically hold the ball up for the umpire, who takes the scraped ball while giving the catcher a new baseball, then throws the ball scraped to the home team bench. . Did you ever wonder why?

Pitchers at the Major League level are so talented that any scratch on the ball, no matter how small, through wind resistance, could create more movement in the ball when pitched, giving the pitcher a unfair advantage over the batter.

This seems like a reasonable explanation for throwing hundreds of baseballs, per team, out of the game over the course of a season. Since scraped balls are always thrown into the home team’s dugout, it is safe to assume that the balls are then used by the team in batting practice, as well as infield / outfield drills.

Every now and then, especially after a player hits a home run or other significant hit, television cameras will pan inside the dugout showing the players’ celebratory activities. During these scans of the dugout, it is not unusual to see a police officer or security guard sitting inside the dugout with the players.

Unfortunately, with the state of violence in the world today, it makes perfect sense to have an officer stationed within the dugout to protect players from a rogue fan who may attempt to enter the dugout from the field.

Until yesterday I firmly believed that these self-inferred explanations for the two events were totally true. I mean my explanations are rational and make perfect logical sense, but embarrassingly to me, only partially correct. In fact, if pressed for precision, I’d have to admit, very slightly correct.

So what is the precise explanation for these two issues? Ironically, both are part of the answer. This is wild, let me explain.

He was right about the worn part. Baseballs are considered unusable after hitting the ground, although that raises the question of why not all baseballs are discarded after they are put into play.

Anyway, the baseballs are thrown into the home team’s dugout, but they are not to be used for batting practice or field / field drills, but instead are handed over to the official at the dugout to record, tag, and officially identify the ball. Ironically, the official is on the bench for safety reasons, but he must protect the worn baseballs, not the players.

The officer files a report on each baseball that includes, but is not limited to, the date of the game, the pitch count when the ball was discarded, and who the batter was at that time.

These baseballs are then placed under strict security by MLB and transferred to New York City where they are auctioned. This identical scenario occurs in every major league baseball park, in every game, throughout the season.

They told me that there is a huge demand for these baseballs from fans who attended the game for some important reason, as they proposed in the game, it was announced that the wife was pregnant and whatever, whatever.

It is not every day that I announce to the world that I am wrong, I was actually terribly wrong, about something, but this intrigued me so much that I had to let everyone know.

The only thing worse now is that everyone but me knew this.

The 5 Basic Skills Needed to Play Softball

Playing softball competitively or recreationally requires a basic skill set including catching, pitching, fielding, hitting, and running bases. A dedicated softball player should take the time to practice correct techniques in the following skills in order to play the game confidently and confidently. Even experienced softball players should continue to practice and exercise these skills to improve their performance.

Trapping

Proper catching skills allow a player to not only catch the ball without injuring himself, but also position him to throw the ball accurately. The fact is, catching and throwing are two of the fundamental defensive skills in softball. The ability to catch and throw a ball is very important as this allows a player to send off a runner who is trying to advance to the next base.

Launch

As mentioned above, throwing is one of the two most important defensive skills a player must learn in softball. A fast and accurate throw can make it difficult for the opposing team to advance their runners or score. Softball players must practice correct pitching technique to hit their goals quickly, accurately, and consistently.

Fielding

Fielding is another essential defensive skill that a softball team must master. A good team field makes it difficult for the opponent to score runs. Players are trained in the correct way to field a ball that is struck both on the ground and in the air. Fielding drills also involve knowing where to throw the ball. Many times fielders must rehearse particular plays to know where to throw the ball if it hits them.

Pounding

Batting is probably the most challenging and fun skill to learn in softball. Hitting a small ball with a rounded bat into a particular area in a fraction of a second is a technique that softball players must continually practice and perfect. A good shot requires eye-hand coordination, quick reaction time, correct technique, and confidence.

Base in operation

Excellent basic execution isn’t just about speed, it’s also about smart execution. Even more important than simply moving around the bases is the wisdom to assess the current state of the game. An astute base runner takes into consideration the number of outs and the opposing field placements. Quick and smart base running puts great pressure on the defensive team.

In softball, where you often run and slide, a good pair of softball cleats and a trusty, moisture-wicking pair of softball socks are essentials.

Ferrari 348 Challenge sports cars / Serie Speciale

The Ferrari 348 Challenge: a close look at the performance, technical data, characteristics, rival comparison, history, used prices of this classic sports car.

from classic to modern

The Ferrari 348 Challenge

CAR

Ferrari’s 348 Challenge sports car was a one-make racing series, first created in 1993 and aimed at amateur drivers. It was initially established in Europe and within a year it had spread to the US.

Originally the series focused on 348 Converted Series Speciale cars, but was later expanded to 348 starting in 1989 that reached the 348 SS specification.

In 1994, Ferrari introduced a limited edition of only 45 cars, consisting of 32×348 TB and 13×348 TS, destined for the American market, which were designated as 348 Factory Challenge.

Sports cars in the Speciale Series featured thresholds painted the same color as the rest of the car, and this feature was carried over to the Challenge Series.

These Challenge cars had road trims and each received an individually numbered plaque that was affixed to the right door frame.

They were equipped with improved engine control units, a large heat shield, and a less restrictive exhaust system, although there was a racing version that used straight pipes. Also included were:

  • Points to attach the harness

  • Mounting points for roll cage

  • aluminum pedals

  • Brake ducts under the car

  • Tow hooks on both ends of the car

  • Stiffer springs

  • Fiberglass front and rear bumpers.

  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel with “348” insignia

The cost of the optional Ferrari Challenge kit was $ 14,000, and they indicated that, with this kit, it would take around 60 man hours to convert the original car into race equipment.

The 3.4 liter double overhead cam V8 engine used in the Challenge Series would develop an increase of 320 hp.

The resulting racer would use slick tires and have an improved braking system and improved aerodynamics.

The 1995 season was the last in which the 348 Challenge car was entered in the races as, at the time, it had been superseded by the Ferrari 355 Challenge model.

The Ferrari 348 Serie Speciale

CAR

Ferrari’s Serie Speciale sports car referred to a limited edition of 100 modified versions of the 348 TB and TS that was built between 1992 and 1993, and was aimed solely at the US market.

Since the rear wheels used wider tires, the rear track was increased by two inches. It was also equipped with:

  • Free flow exhaust system

  • Upper final drive

  • Front divider

  • New front and rear grill

  • Alternative taillight assembly

  • Bumpers and rocker covers marching the color of the car.

  • Sports seats and door panels, both trimmed in leather.

Each sports car was individually numbered with a special plate affixed to the passenger door post.

Finally, in 1994, another 15 units were built as a result of favorable demand.

THE MOTOR

The 348 Series Speciale was powered by the same 3.4-liter dual-overhead cam V8 engine that was installed on the original variants.

However, this unit was slightly modified and developed 312 bhp at 7200 rpm, while still producing the same top speed, but with a marginal reduction in 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds.

COMPETENCE

A cross section of the competition for the 348 Challenge and Series Speciale cars included: Corvette ZR1, Honda NSX and Marcos LM500. Ferrari performance:

This marks the end of my Ferrari 348 Challenge and Special Series Sports Car Review.

How to get your wife to give you what you want

Men, I’m pretty sure there are some things that you wish your wife would give you more of …

Today my goal is to help you improve your marriage relationship …

Within this article, I intend to expand your knowledge …

And if you’ll allow me, I’ll customize it a bit for you …

You don’t like it when your wife neglects you. You don’t like it when your wife ignores you. You don’t like it when your wife is too busy working on something else and she doesn’t have time for you.

Neither is your wife!

He does not like that his wife does not pay attention to him. You don’t like it when your wife refuses to express yourself and show her love for you. He does not like it when his wife is not supportive or indifferent. And he certainly doesn’t like it when his wife denies him affection and intimacy.

Neither does the woman you are married to!

You don’t like it when your wife gets mad at things. You don’t like it when your wife scolds you for something that annoys her. You don’t like it when your wife looks down on you. And he certainly doesn’t like it when his wife criticizes everything he says or does.

Neither is your lady!

He does not like his wife to blame him for some problem. He does not like it when his wife makes accusations against him, even if they are true. And he definitely doesn’t like it when his wife is verbally or emotionally abusive.

Neither is your spouse!

You don’t like it when you feel insecure in your marriage relationship. You don’t like it when you are not sure if your wife is loyal and faithful to you. You certainly don’t like it when you feel like you’re second, maybe even third or fourth, string and some other man is first string.

Neither is your wife!

You don’t like it when your wife gets frustrated over something and takes it out on you. You don’t like it when your wife is angry about something and you feel the heat of that anger, even if it has nothing to do with you, or has everything to do with you.

Neither does the woman you are married to!

You don’t like it when you find out that your wife has told other people about your weaknesses, flaws, flaws, or mistakes. He doesn’t like it when his wife reveals misplaced personal and private information, especially when she portrays him as inept or inappropriate.

Neither is your lady!

You don’t like it when your wife is open and friendly to other people, but cold to you. And especially, you don’t like it when your wife doesn’t talk about problems with you, but will talk about them with other people.

Neither is your spouse!

You don’t like it when your wife acts like she always has to get her way, or else! You don’t like it when your wife acts like nothing you do is good enough. You don’t like it when your wife undermines you. You don’t like it when your wife tries to change you. You don’t like it when your wife is possessive or jealous.

Neither is your wife!

You don’t like it when your wife is selfish. You don’t like it when your wife feels like she should get all the money, all the attention, all the good things first, and if there is something left, well then you can have something too. In fact, you don’t feel any attraction to your wife when she operates in an arrogant, self-centered and self-centered way.

Neither does the woman you are married to!

He doesn’t like it when his wife doesn’t take care of herself. He doesn’t like it when his wife doesn’t take care of her work. He doesn’t like it when his wife can’t carry her share of the load. He doesn’t like it when his wife just doesn’t care about things, especially things that have to do with having a good home and marriage.

Neither is your lady!

Now think of all the things you would like your wife to give you.

How do you get your wife to give you those things?

Well, as you can now clearly see, in many ways, the same things that you want are also the same things that your wife wants.

And, by gently giving your wife more of what she wants, it paves the way for YOU to get more of what you want, too. You open the door for your wife to give you what you want.

Why does The Last Boss in Final Fantasy Games have such a huge impact?

Why does the last boss have this great influence on us? Because we have experienced that narrative that has led us. Most Final Fantasy games start you off as a relatively naive character with little knowledge outside of what the player can immediately see. When you first launch the game, you are introduced to your protagonist, be it Vann, Zidane, or Luneth and a short backstory for them. We identify with what they do on a day-to-day basis, training Squall for SEED or Cloud’s job as a mercenary. We learn that this is the norm for these characters and for the first hour or so nothing unusual usually happens as we learn the basics of the game.

Then something will go wrong for our protagonist. Something unexpected that breaks his stereotypical day and, as a player, we are as out of reach as the characters we just met. We pay attention to why this has happened and what we have to do to survive, or what needs to be corrected. We learn at exactly the same rate as the characters we play. Understand the same things and use the knowledge we acquire to progress. This simultaneous understanding of the plot brings us to the narrative and allows us to embrace it as if it were happening to ourselves as players.

So we’ve gotten through the first few hours, discovering and learning alongside our player character, meeting allies who will help us achieve our goals, and completing a series of smaller missions. We may already have our main objective, who to defeat or what task needs to be done, but it is far beyond our reach. Every time we load the game, we experience another small section, perhaps a dungeon that we must go through or a quest quest that opens up a new area. But during these missions, our character never loses sight of his main objective, and neither do we as players. We understand that each smaller quest is part of our odyssey to defeat the Final Boss, another chapter in the lives of our characters, a necessary task that makes him stronger. Each step along the way allows the character to gain not only experience points and equipment, which means that he can face the final threat on an even field, but in terms of narrative, it allows him to understand the effects of his actions on the world. .

Take any character from Final Fantasy to the beginning of your adventure; now imagine that character in front of his main Antagonist. Surely they could never win? Both in terms of level and equipment, but when it comes to their determination and build, they would not be prepared. But as they venture through the story, they witness the antagonist’s evil firsthand, suffer the loss of friends, and face challenges that slowly increase in difficulty, allowing them to prepare for the final showdown. Now think of yourself as the player. At first, the first time you play, you have no knowledge of the game’s systems, your character’s abilities, or any real motive behind your actions. But through the gradual progression mentioned above, it grows. You learn how magical items interact, when it’s best to use potions and stat-boosting equipment, you come across a character you like only to see them killed and lost in your party. You begin to feel empathy for the long search for your characters, but you also understand that the journey you have undertaken is making you stronger and ready to face the cause of the problems in the game. You and the character grow up to have the same goal.

Defeat the final boss.

It is this synchronized way of thinking which means that by the time you face Chaos, dive in search of the Cloud of Darkness, or prepare to bring down the Final Aeon of Braska, you will know why you need to take them and that you know that you are enough. strong to do it. that. The way the game builds up your strength presents you with the ultimate challenge to prove it and the emotional commitment to overcoming the cause of fighting and unrest from the narrative world come together in the climactic battle, meaning you are on edge, excited and highly strung. Right away.

All of this is what makes the final battle so impactful. But of course it’s not true for everyone, it could be that you didn’t save for five hours before the final boss.

What makes bosses so good to you? Shoot in the comments below!

Which are Deceptive mucus formers?

Here is a list of foods that many people don’t realize create mucus:

  • Rice (great for creating book binding glue, bad for transitioning to a mucus-free diet)
  • Avocados (a fatty element that can be used in the transition, but is very addictive. Although technically a fruit, if used it is best combined with a salad or vegetables without mucus to aid elimination. However, it is recommended to stay away of them if you are not already attached to them).
  • Nuts (Formers of mucus, but can be used in transition. Best eaten with dried fruits like raisins to help with elimination).
  • Bananas (starchy)
  • Tofu (slimy and mucus-forming).
  • Unripe fruits like green bananas (the more ripe the fruit, the better).
  • Corn (Does not eliminate well. When cooked corn or corn chips are eaten, it becomes mushy and slimy in the intestines).
  • Corn chips (Some people use them in transition, but they are very addictive and don’t remove well)
  • Beans (they are starchy and mucus-forming. But they can be used sparingly in the transition near green leafy salads)
  • Starchy vegetables (Some vegetables are starchy and form mucus in raw or cooked form, such as white potatoes. But many other vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, have almost no mucus (no starch) after proper cooking.

The transition diet

It is very important that people learn to move from the foods that produce the most harmful mucus to those that leave the least amount of waste. For more information on this transition process, see Arnold Ehret’s Mucusless Diet Healing System: Annotated, revised and edited by Prof. Spira.
